"I don't want you crying around me," he blurted out, handing out a box of tissues to her. She carefully raised her head and took the tissue box from him. He noticed her stuff lying around the room as he glanced around.
"Pack up your things, you won't be staying in my room, i will call my personal assistant to come show you to your room" he added as he walked away.
"But it's our wedding night," Layla eventually muttered finding her words. "And so what?" Aidan barked, coming to a halt on his course.
"I think it's about time you realized that I married you to satisfy me, so you're only supposed to show up at my face when I need you," he said as he turned around to face her.
"Why did you even agree to get married to me in the first place?" she sobbed, pressing her knees to her breast.
"This happened because I did not have a choice, your parents and my parents wanted this to happen, who am I to go against the wish of my father?"
"You would have done anything to stop it"
"Trust me when I say I did everything in my power to prevent this from happening."
I know you were coerced into it as well, so why don't we live different lives while living together?"
"No way! The deed has been done; now we must face what has been thrown at us and live with each other as we should," Layla stated emphatically.
"The next time you argue with me or disagree with my decision, you will regret ever stepping foot in this house," he stated as he walked slowly back towards her. Layla tugged the duvet up to her chin, fearfully gripping it.
"Am I understood?" He roared
"Am I understood?" he asked again, this time leaning closer to her till his face was just an inch away from hers.
Feeling his minty breath on her skin, "Yes," she responded quietly.
A soft knock came on the door and Aidan straightened up, asking who was there.
"It's Aria," said a voice from behind the closed door. "Come in," he said.
"Oh, it appears that you both are busy; I can return later if that is okay," Aria replied as she stepped inside.
"No need for that, I was already on my way out," Aidan said.
Turning to look at Layla, "Pack your belongings, my P.A will be here in an hour to take you to your room," he said before walking out.
"Is everything okay?" Aria asked in a worried tone as she walked up to sit beside Layla on the bed.
"Everything is not okay, Aria, everything is not okay," she lamented bitterly, breaking down with fresh tears.
"You will be fine girl" Aria said as she took the box of tissues from her, she dragged a piece of tissue from it and wiped Layla's face with it.
"You need to stop crying, it's your wedding night for Christ's sake, you can't spend it in tears," Aria added.
"Am I not supposed to be spending it with my husband?"
"Yes, but at this point things are tense between both of you, I think you should give him some time and space, maybe he will come around," she replied.
"Someone that just clearly told me that he married me for the purpose of satisfying his sexual urge and that is the only time I would be around him, I doubt he would ever come around" Layla said, sniffing.
