When all boys died in the world and he is the only man alive, he started running away from everyone. But what if he founds out that he is somewhat connected to the Human Male extinction in the world?

Chapter 1 1

Kristoff's POV:

"A-Ash, wait for me! Since when did you become a great runner!? You ran so fast today!" I shouted at her.

Ash and I ran away from the creature. I'm exhausted, and Ash is still screaming. She looks so scared that you’d mistake her for a madman. She just screamed and screamed, and if there was an enemy here, I hoped they wouldn’t hear us; we’d be dead for sure.

Because of my tiredness, I was out of balance while running and fell to the floor. No voice came out of my mouth when my crotch hit the branch. My world suddenly stopped because of the event. My throat ran dry.

I almost cried from the pain and held my breath. I saw Ash stop running and look at me. She was still sweating.

Suddenly, I felt a soft fang bite into my leg. Ash laughed at the same time. How does she find my situation funny when our future kids are at risk!?

"Jusko, it turns out we ran from a dog! You're a coward, Kristoff!" Ash teased and walked towards me.

"Hey, you're the one who ran so fast. "You're almost flying with your speed," I teased Ash.

I still stutter because of the pain. I stood up when I felt the pain disappear. Maybe later, because of my stupidity, my sperm will sulk and not give me a child. Please, don’t let that happen. My future offspring will surely be beautiful, and it would be a shame if it could not be propagated.

This shih tzu is barking at me. Ash lifted the dog in her arms and ran her fingers through its white fur. Its fur is long, and its body is muddy. It seems to have been here for a long time. Couldn't there be someone else here?

I just laughed and massaged this dog's side. It's beautiful, and it's a pet. The dog is also female and still has a collar that has not been removed. This dog's name is Kaleb; it sounds like an Arabic sound. After all, we are close to Oman.

"Ash, do you think there is someone here?" I asked.

"I don't know, Kristoff. But based on this dog, it looks like someone is here. It's obvious that Kalab is a pet dog, but it's surprising how he ended up here," Ash said.

"Could it be a plane crash or a ship sink? Dogs are good swimmers, so that's not surprising. Besides, it looks like he hasn't eaten in a long time. Kaleb is losing weight," I said.

"Maybe, but now we need to find out everything. Maybe there is someone here who can help us, or maybe it is the enemy. We have to prepare. We still have to be careful because we are still not far from the enemy. They are just around, scouting. If not here on the island, they're probably on the ground," said Ash.

We agreed to pick up a sharp branch and a rock so that we would at least have protection. I saw Kalab suddenly run when Ash put her on the ground, so we both cursed. Here we go again!

"Kaleb, come back here! Let's chase it, Kristoff!" Ash shouted.

We chased the dog, but it just ran. We screamed, but Kaleb didn't care. Could it be that she doesn't understand our language? Maybe this dog is foreign?

"Hey Kalab, stop! Sit!" I shouted.

I was amazed when Kalab sat down and faced us. Her tongue is still hanging out and condemning us. This dog understands English!

"Ash, you're in awe of me again. It turns out that Kaleb understands English. I’m such an amazing man," I boasted.

"Look there; you're boasting again. Kaleb stopped right when you screamed because we're already here," Ash said and pointed to something in the distance.

I slapped her hand, so Ash whined. She widened her eyes at me, so I shook my head.

"You shouldn’t just point your finger anywhere in the middle of the woods; encantos might follow you. Bite your finger and then spit on the ground," I said.

Ash looked at my foot as I stepped onto the ground. She did what I said. It is said that pointing is bad.

"Is that true? You're just scaring me," Ash said.

"Find out for yourself if you wish," I teased her, so Ash shouted.

"Oh no! Don't scare me with that!"

I turned back to what Ash pointed at me earlier and secretly celebrated. It is a wooden house. It was dark inside, and there seemed to be no light. It is also small. This wooden house seems to have been abandoned for a long time.

We went inside, and Kalab went first. There is no one here, and it is already dusty. Maybe that's why Kalab is thin—no one has taken care of her for a long time. It's obvious.

We toured this small house. I saw a lamp on the side and a match. I immediately turned on the light, so I held my breath because we had a light. Finally, we have a sane place to stay.

"Kristoff, come here quickly!" I heard Ash shout.

I quickly went to where she was. I was also able to say yes because there were boxes of instant noodles. There is also a lot of other food and water. These will also expire soon. Others have faded packaging. The important thing is that it has not expired.

"It looks like someone lived here before. What happened to the person who lived here? Why did he leave Kaleb?" asked Ash.

"I don't know. But the first thing we need to do now is eat. I'm hungry, and my stomach is boiling," I said.

"Alright, I'm going to cook first because I saw a stove earlier. Go around here first, and maybe we'll find someone who can help us," Ash said, so I nodded in response.

She went to the small kitchen, and I walked around the small house. Kaleb was still tailing me, so I knelt to quickly ruffle her soft fur. This dog is cute. Kaleb seems to be trained.

I passed a small door—a knee-length door. What is this, Kalab's house? Is he staying here? It's cool. Good thing this dog has a room of her own.

I kneeled and inspected the door. I tried to push it, but it seemed to be locked from the inside. I stood up again and scratched my head.

If this is only Kalab’s room, I shouldn't waste any more energy. What can I find in the dog’s bed? A poop?

I saw a nail scattered on the floor, so I picked it up. I stuffed it under the crack of the door and dropped it.

I listened to the nail to see how long it would take to fall and how loud it sounded. In my calculation, this is not Kalab’s room because the nail dropped too deeply. Maybe it's a hidden room. I can finally do something.

I went to the kitchen to peek at Ash and tell her what I discovered. Suddenly, my tongue was torn when I saw that she was busy cooking. I'll go first, and I'll tell her later.

I just took my bolo and went back to the small door. I made Kalab sit at a distance, and she followed. Kalab is smart.

I stuck my bolo hard into the side of the door to break the hinge. It was destroyed, and the nails were removed.

The small door fell, and a dark and deep room greeted me. I even coughed because of the dust here. There are also spider webs.

I went back to the kitchen and took Ash's lamp. She just stared at me and rolled her eyes. She didn't ask what it was for because she was busy opening the can. I'll bother her later.

After I returned to the room, I tied the lamp around my waist. I also took off my T-shirt and tied it around my face. I don't have a face mask; I will use it to protect my nose and face from dust. I don't want to sneeze.

I peeked downstairs, and it was a small room. I wasn't mistaken. I still need to go down this bamboo ladder to see what’s in the room. Because the lamp I'm holding doesn't reach the bottom.

I went down the bamboo stairs. It's just attached to the wall, and it looks like if you step on it for a long time, it will collapse. It's even scary to step on because it seems to be softer than Ash's bones. If that girl could read the contents of my brain, she'd probably kill me. I just shook my head.

I smiled and got down. Thinking of Ash made me lose my nervousness. That stunted woman had a different effect on me.

I placed the lamp I had on the table. I saw a generator on the side, so I turned it on.

The surroundings were lit, so I was relieved. That's how amazed I am down here because this room is filled with paper. It looks like I can discover a lot here. I hope it's good news. This might turn out to be the enemy's fortress, but hopefully not.

There are cabinets with only folders that are rusted. It also has a PC set and a bulletin board with pinned areas. There are also people's names that I don't recognize. The only one familiar to me is the name Rosales.

I sat on the side seat, so I looked over there. A journal with a photo of an Arab woman wearing an umbrella and the puppy Kalab caught my eye. Maybe that woman is her owner.

I took it and opened it. There are dates and data written in the journal that I can't understand because it was written in a different language. I can only read English.

"January 29..." I read on the first page of this journal.

Five years have passed since its first entry. What is the content of this journal? Will it help us on our journey, or will it do us no good?
