Linda's POV
I am a girl who has been searching for love for many years without success. I have several jobs, one of which is walking dogs. I also have two good friends, Dylan and Elena. We are very happy together.
I also like hand-painting. I love life, so in my spare time, I will pick up a drawing pen to draw what I like at will, calm down and draw a picture, which can completely relax myself. So if I could say it, I am just your normal, average girl.
Early in the morning, I looked at the back of a girl I drew in the drawing book as if there was something missing. I picked up the pen again and filled in a few details on the drawing.
"Hi, this is Linda. Please leave a message." I heard my phone ring.
"Hi, Linda, this is Carol from the Temporary Employee Agency Center in Los Angeles. Listen, Dr. Berthaire needs you tomorrow, okay? Please contact me as soon as you can. Goodbye." I glanced at the phone message and didn't care too much. I continued to paint on my drawing book.
"Good morning, neighbor." Dylan greeted me as he ate a piece of bread in his hand and a cup of coffee in his other hand.
"Hey, help yourself." I looked at his laziness and ignored him.
"Oh, thank you, I've eaten it all." Dylan spread his hands and told me that he had finished his breakfast. It was really rude. I would like to tell him that it was rude but what was the point? He will do it again and again. I knew him already.
"Oh, why should I ask for trouble? You know, Dylan, I gave you the key for an emergency, very, very urgent, not for you to get used to something like this." I don't know what he came to my room to do again. I was a little helpless. The little girl who had been painting for a long time lost her fragrance in an instant. I tore it off and kneaded it into a ball. When I walked out of the room, I threw it at Dylan, and then he received it.
"Yes, I need coffee," he cheekily said. He came over because he wanted coffee. He didn't care. He sat on my bed. "I don't know. It's good. I want to be here. Thank you." He opened the picture or the drawing I crumpled and looked at what I drew on the paper. Well, it's a good compliment.
"Well, I have to go to my first job. I'm going to be late. You stay, have some breakfast, take a shower and rummage through my drawers." Leaving Dylan alone in the room, because I found my first job, I was in a good mood when I went downstairs, and I ran down in a hurry, not forgetting to send them a kiss in the photo.
I was walking on the roadside when I saw an elder couple having breakfast outside of one of the local shops in town. The old man is slicing the pancake on his plate, dipping it on the syrup and giving it to his wife to eat. I saw them smile at each other after that. It was very heartwarming and I felt a little jealous.
I asked myself, would I be able to find a love like that in my life too? A love that would last, a love that is not selfish, and a love that would make my heart melt just by the stare of my partner. Am I the only one who is wishing for that kind of love, or am I just really a hopeless romantic person?
I am so busy with my thoughts that I did not see a child running towards me. When I noticed him, it was already too late for me to dodge so he collided into me.
"Oops, I'm sorry miss. Did I hurt you?" He asked like he was a gentleman but his tone was still like a baby. He is so cute. I want to pinch his cheeks.
"I'm fine, little man. Just don't run next time okay?" I replied, pinching his chubby cheeks a little.
