Chapter 1.

"Quickly go inside and hide!" My mum said fearfully!..

She quickly pushed me in the wardrobe and locked the door!.. I could see what is going on through the tiny hole..

A masked guy came in .. brought out a gun ! And shot my mum on her forehead. He proceeded to my dad! .. shot him on his forehead!.. checked if they were dead.. having confirmed them dead. He left the house

"Mummy!" I cried!!!

Jolting out of the dream I gasped for breath! I av been having this same dream for months now!.. I couldn't sleep!..

Suddenly my guardian walked inside my room!

Uncle John! What is he doing here again! He had been molesting me ever since!.. but I don't think I can accept it again,! Being an orphan doesn't mean I should be treated anyhow!..

I clutched the little knife I hid behind my pillow... Watching his every move!..

He climbed my bed ! Raised my gown up and was touching me with his finger.... He tried adjusting himself well to dip his d**k inside me!..

Suddenly i stabbed him In his stomach..

"Arrgghhh," he said grunting In pain..

I used the opportunity and ran outside.. without looking back!..

I saw a vehicle loaded with cement!..

Seems they will be transporting them to another place tomorrow!..

I climbed the truck!.. and went inside of it.. resting on the cements.. I don't know when sleep took over!!!

The next morning!.. I woke up and climbed out of the truck!.. only to meet myself in a new area!.. looking around.. . I walked towards a shop and sat In front of it!.

My stomach grumbled!.. gosh! Where do I get food from !"

Suddenly a girl came to the shop and bought two breads!..

Seeing the Bread! My stomach grumbled the more..

Approaching her I said "hi ! Am hungry , can u share your food with me" I said in a pleading tone!

"You see! This breads I bought! . Are my foods for today!.. one In the morning and the other one at night".. she said

"But since you need this cos u look hungry! I will share it with u" she said handing over the bread!..

I muttered a thank you! And quickly gobbled the bread!..

She looked at me with keen interest

"What's ur name" she asked

"Am Angela;, u?" I asked her

"Am Alexia! But u can call me Lexi" she said with the biggest smile!.

"Friends" she said stretching her hand forward for a shake.

I looked at her for a while.. then proceeded to shake her too!.

"Friends" I muttered*

We sat on a bench beside the shop!

"What actually brought you to the street!". Lexi asked me!

"My parents are dead!.. and my guardian tried to rape me! I tried to run away from him only to end up being here!" I said tearfully

"Well! I think we got the same story! Am an orphan too!.. and my aunt took me in !.. her husband molest me every night!.. and the day I reported to my aunt! She sent me out of the house Saying am trying to destroy her marriage!" Lexi said!..

"So how have you been surviving ever since!" I asked!.

"Well! It's an illegal means! But that's the only way I can survive on the street! She said

"I pick pocket" she whispered!

",What! That's so bad!" I shouted

"Yeah! I know! But that's the only way I survive" she said

And that's was how I joined her and started pick pocketing!...

I learned the act of pickpocketing from Alexia!.. she was a great teacher and I was a fast learner!

"See that woman purse,!.. she is holding it very carelessly!.. we will split ourselves..and operate on her!" She said!..

I understood what she meant immediately!

And we splitted ourselves.. I walked towards the woman and mistakenly hit her.. the purse fell and I quickly picked it and put it in my hoodie!

"Watch where you are going!.. you this lowlife!" She said!.

"Am sorry" I responded and quickly mixed with the crowd!.

I blew a whistle to alert Lexi!.. she quickly came to me!.. we took all the money in the purse and threw the purse away!.. I took my hoodie turned it inner out!.. and tied it on my waist revealing the big shirt I was wearing underneath!.. I packed my hair in a rough bun!.. and I held Alexia hand and walked like nothing happened!

"My purse!! Thief!!! " The woman screamed alerted everyone!

"Thief!!! It was a young boy wearing an hoodie! He stole my purse" she screamed!

"Which way did he go" a man asked her

And she pointed to a direction!.. everyone went towards the direction searching for the thief!..

I and Alexia followed the crowd looking for the thief!.

"It was fun" Alexia said laughing sitting on a bench

"The woman was like "he stole my purse" I responded laughing hard!

Come ! Let's count the money we made today

We counted everything and it was $250!

Wow!" We really made a huge sale today!

Let's treat ourselves to a nice meal!..

We said and entered a restaurant!.. we bought chicken and ate !.

Suddenly I stiffed!..

"What's wrong" Lexi asked"

I pointed to a man!."my ..myy guardian!.that tried to rape me!"

" The man that tried to rape you?" Lexia asked!

"Yeah" I stuttered

Suddenly Zack looked towards our direction

"Angela!!!!* He called loudly

"Run" I said to Lexia!.. and we ran out of the restaurant..

Zack gave us a hot chase !.. he was catching up with us!..

"Angela! You run to our shade! I will distract him" Lexia said admist breath!

Zack caught up with Lexia and held her tight!

"Where is Angela" he asked holding her tight!

"How am I supposed to know where she is" Lexia replied!.. and Zack gave her a hot slap!..

She bit his arm in retaliation

"Ouch" Zack screamed releasing his grip on her!.

And that gave Lexia the opportunity to run away!.

On getting to the shade!

I quickly ran to meet her!..

"Alexia! What happened to your face!" I asked in concern

"That bastard man slapped me ! It's nothing tho" she said and quickly ran to my side

"Angela! Guess what?"

"You know am bad at guessing" I said

"I stole the motherfucker wallet" she replied flipping out a brown wallet ...

"Yay" I highfived her and we counted the money in it!..

"Should we go out to pickpocket" Lexia asked!..
