"Heavenly omens descend... "
"There are must a divine being appeared!"
With a silver moon hanging high in the sky, the night had fallen, stars twinkling and scattered across the earth.
However, amidst the vast sea of stars, a streak of seven-colored lightning danced, its brilliance impossible to ignore.
At the peak of the imperial palace in the Nine Provinces, an elder in a golden robe stood with his hands behind his back, gazing deeply into the starry sky, as if foreseeing something monumental about to unfold.
Behind him, tens of thousands of elite warriors from the imperial capital knelt silently, their eyes solemn as they awaited orders.
"Hummm!"
Suddenly, the lightning in the heavens gathered violently, forming a massive seven-colored divine bolt, which descended straight from the sky toward the earth.
In an instant, the night sky turned as bright as day.
Even before the divine bolt struck, the ground began to rumble, trembling violently, as if an immeasurable force was brewing, ready to unleash destruction.
Yet, when the divine lightning touched the land, an unexpected event occurred-it caused no catastrophic damage. The seven-colored lightning simply vanished into thin air as if it had never existed.
The darkness quickly reclaimed the earth, and the once-radiant night sky grew dim, as though some mysterious essence had been drained away, leaving behind a quiet, eerie calm.
The elderly man's body was shaking with excitement, and his eyes were unusually brilliant. "Within the boundaries of the Azure Province, take all the newborns born tonight to the Imperial City," he said, gesturing to the spot where the lightning had struck.
"As you command!"
Tens of thousands of specialists from Imperial City headed to the Azure Province as soon as they heard the thunderous reply. They pledged to locate the Divine Body and supply the royal court with it.
That night's grand and mysterious scene lingered in people's memories, yet the empire's actions remained secret. No one knew how much upheaval that night had brought to the imperial capital.
Until five years later...
Inside the boundaries of the Nine Provinces' Azure Province. The Azure Dragon School was just one of the innumerable schools.
It was the Azure Dragon School's yearly disciple recruitment day once more. The crowd outside the school was enormous.
The disciples on the outside court were always the busy people. They were forced to shoulder all of the obligations associated with being admitted to the school.
disciples of the outer court. They were the ones who performed the difficult and selfless work. They were despised by outsiders in addition to holding the lowest rank in the school.
It was really easy to figure out why. Being an outer court disciple implied that they had terrible talent and would struggle throughout their lives to achieve anything significant, therefore it was only logical that they would be hated.
"Hey, what's up with this mindset? Are you aware of who I am? A girl in expensive attire was pointing and yelling at a young man loudly while carrying a boy.
"I apologize profusely. Now since it is late, the school will shortly close. Please return the next day. The young man still had a youthful, delicate face, but there was a hint of heroism visible between his eyebrows.
His name was Chu Feng. He was one of the tens of thousands of Azure Dragon School's outer court disciples, and this year he became 15 years old.
Although he was an outer court disciple, Chu Feng was different from all the others. He did not feel inferior to others and he did not degrade himself. He did not feel afraid or scared while treating others and he was very calm.
"Come back tomorrow...You think I'm an idiot? These are the mountains! Where are you even going to let us sleep?"
"You must arrange a place of residence for me, or else I'll go find your elders for reasoning." The lady did not listen and did not care. She even grabbed onto Chu Feng's clothes.
"Chu Feng, have you met with trouble?" But just at that time, a sweet voice could be heard.
Looking at that direction, a young female who wore purple was walking over. Although there was a faint smile on her mouth, her eyes were fierce and they tightly stared at the lady.
As she saw the young female, the colour of the lady's face instantly changed and a strong expression of fear gushed out.
It was not because of anything else. It was just because the young female was wearing the purple robe, and that was a mark of the inner disciples.
The lady hiddenly cursed. She originally thought she could use her status to make things difficult for the young man in front of her.
Who would have thought that the unremarkable young man in front of her had the support of an inner disciple? The inner disciples were an existence that she couldn't offend.
"It's nothing it's nothing, I was just inquiring some things from him." The lady explained while smiling.
The young female glared at her and only said one word, "Scram."
At that instant, the lady's body couldn't help but tremble and her face was already ashen.
But she did not hesitate at all. She pulled the boy and quickly left, and under the panic she even tripped, which made her look very rough.
Seeing that, Chu Feng helplessly shook his head and said politely to the young female next to him, "Thank you very much Chu Yue."
"No need to be so polite, we're family right?" Chu Yue was a bit displeased.
She was correct. They were indeed family. They came from the same family, Chu.
Chu Yue was Chu Feng cousin, from Chu Feng's father's brother line and she was only 1 year older than Chu Feng.
