Being a vampire can be tiring and exhausting… What's the use of having powers if you don't use them? Oh sorry.... My name's Gwendolyn Romanov, daughter of  Derrick Romanov. Our family is one of the most influential and feared families in the vampire clan,... The vampire clan has 4 families that rival each other for power and control, not through conflict but through politics. They are : 

- Lionheart family 

- Kraken family 

- Wallenstein family 

- and lastly, the Romanov family which is us. 

Don't let the name fool you... I'm fully American but our family has ties with Russia so... Anyways as I was saying, these are the four families that each have power and influence in the vampire clan, although there was one vampire family called the Dracs, they were descendants of the famous legendary vampire, Count Dracula.  They used to be the most powerful vampire family but now they're no more, they went into extinction due to their vicious conflict with their sworn enemy which was the Hellsing family of the human race. They fought and fought and fought until both parties wiped each other out, but that was hundreds of years ago. 

I have to admit though there are times when being a vampire is fun, cause there's a lot of advantages... 

-First, there's immortality. 

-Second is the use of little magic, such as brainwashing and transforming or bending the elements. 

-Lastly,  there's super strength, hearing, healing, and best of all speed.

But despite these qualities, There are some setbacks. The problem with us vampires is that we tend to make foolish and stupid rules that tend to dull one's life. And the worst part is we have this obnoxious pride in pretending we're better and more civilized than everyone... 

Other nations have their own rules but that doesn't stop them from enjoying the good things in life.. Every day I would watch the other clans with jealousy in my eyes seeing how much fun they are having with their lives. 

My father Derrick who's nothing more than a bore suggested that anything fun was just a waste of time and potential, Even my siblings too agreed to this stupid ideology and followed every stupid rule that was laid down by my father, I was the only one difference in the house and then I began to regret why I was born into this ridiculous family. It would surprise you to know the rules That we vampires are forced to follow.

-The first rule was no Vampire should socialize with anyone except for their kind but this rule didn't last, cause it was canceled. 

- The second rule was no Vampire should be seen helping beings from other nations. Whether financially or through any other means. 

- The third rule was no vampire shall be allowed to marry who they choose, except those that are chosen by their parents. How lame is that? 

There were so many lame rules that I just couldn't tolerate them but there was one rule that was taken very seriously and that rule was avoiding contact with the werewolves. Anyone who broke this rule would be punished and as such will be banished from the Vampire nation. 

To be honest, I never considered taking this rule seriously, Why can't we just make up and settle our differences with the werewolves, it's been so many years now and we're still hating each other, other nations have settled their biffs and they're progressing, why can't we do the same? 

I've heard stories of some Vampires and werewolves who had romantic relationships but nothing was ever heard from them ever again, in fact, they were either missing or disappeared without a trace. 

Many times I've tried to bring up this idea of werewolves and us settling our affairs but I was too scared to do that, so I kept my mouth shut so that I wouldn't get into trouble, but the one thing I didn't do was follow those stupid rules, So before my 18th birthday I began to break all those stupid rules with the exception of Werewolf rule, while my siblings were making their lives miserable and boring, I was out there living the good life.

Life is short and I intended to live it to the fullest and speaking of Life, the maturation age of a Vampire is quite complicated. 

We grow and develop like other creatures but unlike them, we don't age too fast. The witches and werewolves too don't age drastically like the humans, They too take time before they grow older... For instance,  I  look like any 20-year-old human female but I'm actually 150 years of age and most of my friends now are either very old or dead, I've had countless human friends in the past but now they're all dead, all I see is their great-grandchildren, so I decided to stop befriend humans but be socializing with Witches. 

My Friend Emma is a witch and she's  120 years old, we met back in World war 1 and we've been BBFS ever since. 

Emma is an Elemental witch, she has the ability to control the four elements but what's more fun about her is that she's cool and she loves to party any time and any place... So as the years passed, she and I would hang out and have fun together, we even had more fun when we were both enrolled in the famous school which is *School of the Super-naturals*, It was founded by the great wizard, Orlando who lives even up to this present day. He was considered a hero for creating this academic pillar and if it wasn't for him, The nations would have killed themselves long ago. 

Emma and I spent our exciting moments in this school and we've had great times and worst times together but the best part was our friendship remained strong. 

The School of Super-naturals wasn't just a school for all nations, it was a place where we could communicate and hang out, we learn so much from each other but that is not always the case cause even in the school, My kind and the werewolves still biff with each other but Thankfully violence wasn't tolerated in the school and anyone who fought would be dealt with by the disciplinary council. 

But still, the school is a great spot for everyone, it has great layouts, The best academic scholars, and of course the best extracurricular activities, In the end, everyone has fun and a really good time.

For centuries the school has been a Pillar of progress and wisdom, Some even consider it a Sacred shrine but then everything began to change the moment I got into my final year.  

On the morning of my first day as a senior student, I was still in bed sleeping peacefully.  Then all of a sudden, I was awoken by my annoying little brother, Jake.. He always transforms into a bat and shrieks into my ear whenever I'm sleeping late. 

SHRIEK!!! 

I woke up abruptly thinking something had happened but when I saw it was Jake, I became really mad!

Gwen ➡ Jake!!! For the last time stop screaming in my ear, My eardrums are very delicate, Do you want me to kill you? 

. 

Jake ➡ Wake up, you wasted worm! You'll be late for your first day as a senior student! 

...

Gwen ➡ Whatever,  I need to sleep!  

Jake ➡ I'll scream in your ear again.. 

Gwen ➡ If you do that... I'm going to twist your neck... LEAVE MY ROOM NOW! 

Jake ➡ Whatever,  b-tch! 

Gwen ➡ What did you just say? 

Jake ➡ You heard me, wh-re. 

I jumped out of my bed rushing straight towards my brother, the little rascal quickly transformed into his normal self and took off with lightning speed, I chase him all around the house but the little pig was too fast.... At that moment, we both ran into our father, who was sipping blood from his small China tea cup. 

. 

Derrick ➡ What is the meaning of this? 

. 

Gwen ➡ This little pig here called me a b-tch. 

. 

Jake ➡ She's lying.. She's mad because I woke her up. 

. 

Derrick ➡ So you're still sleeping by this time of the morning huh? 

. 

Gwen ➡ I.. Well. Kinda.. (F-ck) 

. 

Derrick ➡ Come with me to my study... We have a lot to discuss. 

. 

I sighed and followed my dad to his lame study, as for my brother, he was laughing so hard behind my back, as I turned around the little f-cker gave me a  middle finger and disappeared. 

As I said earlier my father is a stickler for rules... He believes so much in them that he made up so many uncool rules in our house and among these rules was waking up early from sleep if he ever finds out you woke up late or disobey any rule, then he begins to get suspicious and when he gets suspicious,  things get really messy. 

Seconds later, my father and I arrived at his study, he took his seat and told me to seat down which I did. I had to wait for him to finish sipping his blood before he began to fill my ears with unnecessary talk. After he was done consuming the blood, he dropped the tea cup and looked me directly in the eyes.

Derrick ➡ Alright Gwen, why were sleeping late? You know waking up late is forbidden in this house. 

. 

Gwen ➡ Oh my goodness, Dad I'm not a perfect being besides I found out from humans that getting enough sleep is healthy for one's body. 

. 

Derrick ➡ Answer the question, Gwen! Why did you wake up late? 

. 

Gwen ➡ I was having the most wonderful dream 💭 of my life. That's the reason why. 

. 

Derrick ➡ Dreams are worthless. 

. 

Gwen ➡ No, dreams are beautiful... They're sometimes premonitions for the future.

Derrick ➡ (sighs) Why can't you be like your siblings? It's undignified for a female vampire to be acting like this. If you keep this up, you'll never get a suitor and I want you to marry in one of the best vampire homes. 

. 

Gwen ➡ No way in hell am I going to marry into one of those stuck-up boring families. I want to marry someone who knows how to live, someone who knows the finer things in life. 

. 

Derrick ➡ You disappoint me, daughter... Even your lies aren't good enough..  I know why you slept late last night... That's right. You were at a party with that witch friend of yours.. It would be the same for the other vampire families to hear of this... Do you know the Wallenstein family wants you to be their son's bride? 

. 

Gwen ➡ Like I said... I won't marry in any of those families. I don't want my life to be controlled by dumb rules. 

. 

Derrick ➡ (growls) You stubborn child... If you were a boy I would have given you a beating. 

. 

Gwen ➡ Well, it's a good thing I'm not. 

. 

My father was about to lose his temper when my mother walked in intervening in the matter before it got out of hand. 

Alice Romanov is my mother's name, she's from the Lionheart family, but she's just a distant relative. Just like every other poor female vampire, My parent's marriage was just based on arrangement and not on love, but somehow they began to love each other after they got married, My father says it's a commitment but to me, it's just pure luck. 

My mother too is a stickler for rules but there are times when she bends them a little and thanks to my dad's love for her, she gets to wrap him around her little finger and often saves me from being punished, she's just a lovely woman, It's a shame she had to end up with a bore like my father.

Derrick ➡ Don't interfere now my love… This girl deserves to be taught a lesson.
