Selena Menezwa had been with Caius Capone, the illegitimate son of the mafia family, for ten years. Yet, on the day he took power, the family called someone else the "Godmother". Caius, his hands still stained with blood and gripping a gun, held Charlotte Wodehurst, a pure-looking beauty in his arms. "Selena, don't blame me. You never had a proper education, and you're too unrestrained. You're not fit to be the Godmother. Charlotte is different. She was born into nobility and is the second violinist in the orchestra. You can stick around without a ring, but she can't." Selena didn't argue; she simply turned and left. What Caius didn't know was that she was the princess of the powerful Menezwa family and the concertmaster of the very orchestra where Charlotte played. The Menezwa family, well aware of Selena's reckless streak, had already prepared a man for her. The arms dealer Caius was desperate to win over was already eager to become her fiancé.

Eternal Night of Seduction: From Abandoned Mistress To Mafia Queen Chapter 1

On the eve of Caius's succession as Godfather, He downed two pills, and then he and Selena were lost in the depths of the night, until both were utterly spent..

From the pitch-dark woods to the backseat of a Maybach, then the bathtub, and finally gripping her waist to throw her onto the bed.

She was completely drained after the long and relentless night. Staring at her torn nightgown, Selena asked hoarsely, "Caius, are you not planning to see tomorrow's sunrise?"

A thirst so raw it bordered on madness.

Caius lit a cigar.

The swirling smoke blurred his expression.

"Selena, if I said I wanted to cut things off, you wouldn't throw your life away over it, would you?"

His tone was flippant, tossed out as if in passing, but it sent a chill through Selena.

She had been with Caius for ten years and knew him better than anyone.

But today, she couldn't tell how much truth hid beneath that mocking little test.

Selena pushed herself up, narrowing her eyes at him.

The silk quilt slipped down, baring her shoulders and back.

Their eyes locked, neither speaking.

Selena moved.

She forced down the surge of emotion, snatched the cigar from his hand, drew hard, and blew the smoke into his face.

"Caius, it's been ten years."

Ten years ago, the naive, headstrong Selena would have staked her life just to stay by his side.

But ten years had passed-she was twenty-seven now.

She left the rest unsaid, but Caius understood-clear without words.

He said softly, "Then let's leave it here, Selena. We're too old for drama-it's not a good look anymore."

Selena froze, the cigar suspended between her fingers.

In the dark, tears spilled down her cheeks, blurring her makeup.

The cigar burned down, searing her fingertips with pain.

Only then did she snap back, feigning lightness.

"Alright."

Selena slipped out of bed and picked up her outfits, just about to put it on when Caius hooked an arm around her waist and pulled her back into his arms.

His kisses rained down, inch by inch, branding her skin as his seal of possession.

With practiced ease, he fastened her bra clasp, then wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder as he used to.

"I'm getting married next month. Will you be there?"

Selena's heart tightened.

So fast? From breaking up with her to marrying another woman-this fast?

She was momentarily speechless.

"Silence means yes," Caius said as he pulled open the bedside drawer and slipped an invitation against Selena's chest.

Selena shuddered- whether from the chill of the card or the insolence of Caius's gesture, she couldn't tell, only that it stung with humiliation.

Caius patted her cheek, like he was toying with a pet.

"It's too late to leave now. Stay till morning-just one more night."

His tone was tender, almost intimate, yet it left no room for refusal.

And in these ten years, Selena had indeed never refused him anything.

She had been so yielding that he had forgotten Selena's true nature- cold and unyielding.

When she chose to sever ties, she cut them clean.

Selena shoved his hand aside and straightened out of his embrace.

"Tomorrow is too late."

He was about to get married. If she kept getting tangled up with him, kept ending up in his bed, she'd truly be nothing more than the other woman.

Caius caught the meaning behind her words.

He narrowed his eyes.

"Selena, you and I don't fit."

When he spoke of his fiancée, even his voice grew gentler.

"Her name is Charlotte Wodehurst, Orion Wodehurst's sister. Orion is an arms dealer, and I'm looking to work with him."

Selena arched a brow.

Orion Wodehurst-the infamous arms dealer whispered about throughout the underworld.

Elusive and volatile, he could make any mafia family several times stronger overnight if they secured his backing.

Caius failed to notice her reaction and went on, "She's nothing like you. She's too pure to trail after me without a name or a place. You're wild-I'm happy to play around with you, but marriage? Not a chance."

Selena's nose stung, and tears nearly welled up again.

The air was heavy with the scent of desire. She glanced at the bruises blotching her skin, then at the shredded scraps of lace.

It felt like a stone was lodged in her chest, making it hard to breathe.

Was he saying she was nothing more than a plaything for his pleasure?

How dare he?

Smoky eyes, lace, sheer stockings, tight skirts- everything Caius liked. So Selena had bent herself to his tastes, reshaping who she was.

But the more alluring she became-until even she no longer recognized herself-the more he despised her, calling her wanton.

Selena's expression iced over, the words of accusation spilling out.

"You..."

"Quiet," Caius cut in flatly, shaking the phone that buzzed in his hand. "I need to take this."

On the other end came Charlotte's soft, lilting voice, brimming with delight. "Caius, there's a meteor shower tonight. Will you come watch it with me?"

As I lay on the floor of our manor, bleeding out from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy, I used my last ounce of strength to call my husband, Cole. I begged him for help, my vision blurring. But the only thing I heard was the clinking of champagne glasses and his mistress's giggle in the background. "Stop the drama, June," Cole snapped, his voice cold. "We're about to go on stage. Don't call again." He hung up, leaving me to die alone on the Persian rug while he accepted an award with another woman on his arm. I woke up in the hospital days later. My baby was gone. They had removed my fallopian tube. Cole finally arrived, smelling of expensive scotch and his mistress's perfume. He didn't hug me. He didn't cry. Instead, he leaned over my hospital bed, pressing his knee into the mattress until my fresh stitches tore open and bled. "You embarrassed me by calling an ambulance," he hissed. "My mistress, Alycia, says you're faking it. Clean yourself up." He left me bleeding again to go announce a $10 million donation to Alycia's "groundbreaking" medical research. I stared at the TV screen, numb. The research Alycia was taking credit for? It was mine. I wrote that patent years ago under a pseudonym. They thought I was just a poor, orphan housewife who needed Cole's money to survive. They had no idea I was actually a billionaire scientist hiding my identity. I pulled the IV needle out of my arm. A drop of blood fell onto the divorce papers I had been hiding. I didn't wipe it off. I signed my name right over it. Then I walked into the bank, reactivated my dormant account with $128 million, and bought the penthouse directly overlooking Cole's house. The mourning widow is dead. The avenger is born.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

"Eve," he called, placing wet inhumane kisses on my neck as his strong but warm hands held my tiny waist. I closed my eyes. "Yes...sir?" I moaned helplessly, feeling the harsh tingles in between my legs. "Eve," he called again, trailing wet kisses towards my ear. "Ad....Adrian," I breathed. "What am I doing?" he asked, nibbling my ear lobe. "Touching....touching me?" "I shouldn't be touching you," he said, exploring my neck like a thirsty vampire. "I....i want you to," I stuttered shamelessly. He wrapped my neck with his hand, choking me slightly. Oh, heavens. "My son is crazy about you," he said, gripping me tightly. "I don't want him," I whispered, taking in his wicked kisses on my neck. "You should. And.......I have a wife." ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 Evelyn (Eve) Millers, a twenty-year-old college first-year student and the only child of her wealthy parents, is a lover of mafia romance stories. My five-year-old daughter was dying in the ICU, her heartbeat replaced by the continuous, electronic scream of a flatline. I gripped her cold hand, my throat sealed shut by a terror so absolute I couldn't even cry out. I dialed my husband Grayson's private number, the one reserved only for me and his assistants. He declined the call instantly. A second later, a text buzzed against my palm: "In a meeting. Do not disturb. Stop calling." Five miles away, Grayson was at a luxury gala, adjusting his silk tie and laughing with Belle Escobar. He told her I was just being "dramatic" and using our daughter's "fever" as an excuse to avoid the event. He had no idea Effie's heart had already stopped. When I finally reached our penthouse, soaked from the rain and carrying Effie's small socks in a plastic bag, Grayson didn't even look at me. He snapped at me for ruining the hardwood floors and asked if I'd left Effie with the nanny just to "feel sorry for myself." Three days later, while I buried our daughter in a small, lonely ceremony, Grayson was at the Hamptons. Belle posted a photo of him golfing with the caption: "A mental health day with the boys." He didn't even attend the funeral, but he returned home demanding I clear out Effie's room to make a study for Belle's son. The injustice burned through me until there was nothing left. I swallowed a handful of sleeping pills, desperate to join my daughter. But instead of the darkness, I woke up to blinding lights and the scent of Grayson's expensive cologne. I was standing in a ballroom, wearing a blue silk dress I had already burned. Above me, a banner read: "Happy 5th Birthday Kaiden & Effie." I was back, exactly one year before the tragedy. This time, I wasn't going to be the grieving wife. I was going to be their worst nightmare.
