"I have nothing to say," Lina looked away embarrassed. Her cheeks burned red as his warm breath brushed against her ears, he raised her jaw looking into her eyes. "Did you approach my daughter just to get to me? Was all this your plan? To sleep with me and still go after my Daughter? Who sent you?" His eyes locked into hers. "From Berlin to Columbia, who sent you to me, little girl?" "Are you okay? What are you saying? Are you drunk?" She bites his hand. "Let me go!!" "Go now and get caught by the maid. Then you will explain to Ives and my girlfriend what you are doing in my room by this time of the day. Cheap slut!!" ********* Lina Blackwood has always been the epitome of perfection-obedient, kind, and selfless. But tragedy befell her, she had only three months to live. Though she had no will to live, she decided to shed her perfect image and live on her own terms. What began as a vengeful act of revenge against her best friend Ives, by seducing Ives' father , turned into something unexpected. A forbidden love affair fueled by sexual desire with Ives' father Bryce Blarke. Bryce Blarke set to get married to his fiancee in three months' time, he couldn't escape Lina's temptation, even after their one night stand.
Lina sat down in a sterile office, her hands clasped tightly together in her laps. Her heart was beating like she was running a Marathon. She knew what was about to happen, but a little light of faith held her on.
Dr Thompson enters the room with a somber expression. "Lina, we' ve received the test result, " He began gently as he took his seat.
Lina's heart sank deeper as she searched his face for any slight hope. The sadness of his voice got to her, to know all was not well.
"What is it, Thompson? Why the long face? I am not dying tomorrow right?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
A sudden silence filled the room, Dr Thompson took a deep breath.
"Lina, you have leukemia. But don't worry we can treat...."
The words echoed on her head, giving her a feeling of fear and uncertainty.
A faint smile of sadness flashed on her face, "I always knew that I would die soon, but this came earlier than expected. So what type of Leukemia," she asked with a gentle smile.
Thompson immediately held her hands, "Lina, why are you doing this to yourself? You are also a doctor. How can you not see this symptoms on time? How can you? Or are you planning to kill yourself."
Lina pulled her hands away from him
"Thompson, I am fine."
"No Lina, you aren't fine. We can start chemotherapy right now. But your state of mind isn't healthy at all. Lina, you are suicidal. You think I don't know?" He said, his voice soft but firm.
Lina stood up, picking her bag. "Thompson, I don't want you prying into my personal life. I already knew what was coming. I will handle the sickness my way."
Thompson stood up, grabbing her hands. She yanked it off.
"Lina, can you give me a chance to treat you. I am afraid you have just 3 months to live. Please Lina listen to me. Their death wasn't your fault. You did your best for them. Please Lina let me..."
He picks up a sonogram of her brain, "Lina the leukemia, it's affecting your brain. A tumor is growing but it's still small. I can remove it. But your current state of mind is not suited for a surgery. Everyone in the hospital knows that you almost jumped off the building the other day."
"That blabbermouth must have told you ," Lina sneered, her expression changed.
"Why can't she keep her mouth shut," She mumms angrily.
"It doesn't matter who said and who hasn't. I will recommend you to a psychiatrist. Just trust me on this."
"I'm sorry Thompson. I am fine as I am. There is no need to trouble yourself." She walked away banging the door.

"Help me," A wounded man, grabbing her skirt with force at the top of the mountain.
She tried to forcefully release his grip but couldn't.
"Let me go this instant." Lina said, in a low whisper. Her voice filled with fear, she wasn't as scared like this when she got the Leukemia diagnosis.
"Please help me, If you don't help me. I will scream and they will shoot the both of us."
"It's none of my business, I will let them know that I don't know. I have never seen you in my entire life. You are the one they are chasing after, not me. My life is already messed up to care for another person's life." Lina spat angrily.
"I will tell them that you are my girlfriend, just watch if they won't shoot at you."
"You are shameless!! Don't you think you are too old to get a young girlfriend like me?" She added, with a smug smirk.
"Old!!! You call me Old?" He exclaimed angrily. His face turned sour.
"Where is he? Find him immediately." A male voice was heard. Lina's heart skipped a beat as she saw 5 men with guns coming towards their direction.
"Who are they? Why are they chasing you? Are you a criminal?" She asked, as fear gripped her.
"Just hide me first and talk later."
Lina frowned as she helped him hide in the mist of trees, covering him with dead leaves. They were at the top of the mountain where she went for hiking. Hiking was on her bucket list, but unfortunately she met such a terrifying scene.
There was nowhere to hide, she kept looking around for a spot to hide.
The men rushed in, "Hey, What are you doing? Stop there!! On your knees now!!!"
She frozed in her tracks, and turned towards them.
Four men pointed guns at her, she knelt down raising her hands in the air.
"Did you see a man in black clothes heading this way? . He is wounded?" The first gun man asked, he looked very terrifying with a long scar across his face.
"I..I... Sir..I," She stuttered, her lips and hands trembling like she caught a cold.
One of them cracked his gun, walking towards her. He pointed the gun to her forehead.
"If you lie, I will shoot you right now." He warned, his eyes red with anger in his tone.
The first gun man tapped his shoulders to calm him down.
"Little girl, we won't shoot if you talk." The first man with the scar spoke calmly. Lina realized he wasn't as terrifying as he looks.
"I..I didn't see anybody. I just got here. "
"Little girl, do you think we are playing house with you? Have you seen a wounded man pass through here? If you waste my time, I am going to shoot you."
The second gunman spoke in a loud voice, scaring Lina to death.
"Please don't kill me!! I am already dying. I won't live longer than a month." Lina pleaded, her hands together as she pleaded. Hot tears dripping down from her eyes, the tears she fought hard not to spill came like rain. Flooding her face to her nose. She couldn't cry out, only tears dripping rapidly.
The other man looking around the vicinity suddenly turns to them.
"Boss, there is movement. His people are coming. We have to leave here now."
"Let's just shoot her, since she saw us." another gunman suggested, his gun ready to shoot.
"Let her go, she isn't a native of this place. She is Asian," said the first man, as he picked up his gun.
They left her, running in the opposite direction, Lina slumped to the ground. Wiping her tears and running nose. She curled up, hugging her legs. Trying to calm down.
"I almost got shot to death," Lina said, with a trembling voice.
The wounded man came out of the hiding place, he pulled off his shirt to tie his bleeding arm.
Lina turned towards him, she was stunned seeing his bare chest. He loosened his belt, revealing a bleeding wound on his stomach.
"Do you have a piece of clothing I can use to tie my waist?" He asked, with a manly voice dripping with maturity. It was the first time she felt an attraction to a matured man.
Lina was staring at him, with her mouth wide open. She was lost in thought, imagining her hands touching him. Lina's hand touching his broad chest. Admiring his muscular body, with a subtle definition that hinted at a life of physical activity. A drop of heat disappeared beneath his waistband. His shadows displaying his rugged physique. Her hands are touching slowly down to his torso.
"You are drooling!!" He said , as he noticed her eyes feeding on his body. "Help cut some material out of your skirt?"
"Can I sleep with you?" Lina blurted her thoughts openly.
