Lisa's POV

"Yes. This is Lisa Carter." I said as soon as the person on the other end picked up. "I would like to make a reservation for two tomorrow in one of your couple's booths."

"All right, ma. We will get it ready as soon as possible." said the woman "Please hang on."

I heard the rattle of the computer keys in the background and kept my fingers crossed. I want my anniversary to be so perfect. I don't want any disappointment.

The restaurant I called was a fancy and exclusive one. It was usually booked weeks in advance.

I breathed a sigh of relief when she said, "We have a spot for you."

I told her the time when my husband, Alex and I would be arriving and went through all the details sent to me. The woman promised to give me the VIP treatment when I told her that I and my husband were coming to celebrate our second wedding anniversary.

I began humming a tone as soon as I hung up. I stood up from the computer and caught a reflection of myself in the mirror.

There was an exciting flush on my cheeks as my eyes sparkled. I look like a schoolgirl who just had a date to prom. I only felt better. It has been two years of being married to Alex. Two years of love and perfection.

I got my laptop and went through the internet. After about an hour, I finally found a perfect gift for him online. It was a Patek watch worth $20,000. I ordered immediately and paid for it. I told them the exact time I wanted it delivered.

I wasn't bothered about the price because I knew that Alex got me stuff worth more than that. He even gives me a weekly allowance.

I know he will be so surprised to see me today. I have been away for a while just because of work.

I quickly packed all the stuff I got for him. I have missed him so much.

It was a long drive. When I got home I saw his car packed outside. I was not so happy because I wanted to be the first to get home.

As I got inside, I inhaled that familiar scent I got when Alex was with me. He smells just like mint mixed with aftershave. It had only been two weeks but it felt like forever. I miss him so much. I got into his living room; I saw a lot of things scattered on the floor, including his clothes and some women's clothing. I picked them up, and I thought, "That's weird. These aren't my clothes."

I racked my head and thought of the most reasonable explanation for why the woman's clothes were lying on the floor. I shook off the thoughts. I didn't want to spoil my mood this evening, so I picked them up, folded them neatly, and took them up to his room. "Maybe his sister came over," I muttered under my breath, trying to convince him.

On reaching his room, I heard weird noises. The door wasn't closed completely, so I could hear what was going on in his room. The problem was that I couldn't tell what was going on in his room. 'Maybe he was watching porn.' I thought about it, but I still wasn't convinced, so I decided to take a peek to see what he was doing. I dropped the neatly folded clothes I was holding by the door and carefully moved to the side of the door that was still open so he wouldn't hear me.

As I slowly took a peek, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was dumbfounded, and I swallowed hard. Alex was having sex with another woman; my feet were glued to the ground, and I couldn't move or speak. I just watched. I couldn't even believe what I was hearing. They were both completely naked; the girl lay on the bed, wrapped one of her legs around him, while the other one was on his shoulder. Alex, on the other hand, was standing by the side of the bed, thrusting deep into her.

"Fuck babe," he said. 'Wait he is calling her babe?' "You know how to make a man feel good, not like that bitch I call a wife," he said, lowering his head to kiss her.

What was he saying? Does it mean that I never made him feel good? Was I the one he just called a bitch?

"No sweetie, it's all you. You always know how to hit the right spot," that voice... I know that voice.

"You mean like this," he said, thrusting deeper into her.
