"Today, I, Alpha Carlos Vert of Crest Pack, reject you as my mate, Mavana." With a harsh and icy voice, Alpha Carlos said, generating mutters from the assembly. Mavana was confused and sad but all of a sudden, her face broke into a disparaging smile as she clapped back boldly, "I reject your rejection, Alpha; you can not do that." As the most despised Omega in Crest pack, Mavana shocked the assembled crowd. An Omega who has always been despised and detested. How could she respond to the Alpha with words of her own? What made her so fearless? Mavana grinned and grinned, rolling her eyes at the people's shocked expressions. "Rather, I, Mavana Fae of Crest Pack, decline your offer to be my mate, Alpha Carlos Vert." She sensed the mate bond being severed the instant the words left her voice cord.

Mavana; The Silver Omega Chapter 1 01: Humiliation wear

It was a cold day in Crest Pack, but also a great day. Their Alpha was to perform the mate rituals today, and the mate would be crowned a Luna.

Mavana, on the other hand, was seen resting on a kitchen cabinet, exhausted and frustrated. She has not rested since the preparations for the mate ritual began.

"What are you doing here?. Are you trying to jeopardize today's event with your laziness? " The head maid screamed at the short-limbed blonde standing before her. Mavana's heart sank at the sound of the yell alone, and she sprang to her feet, trembling.

"I am so sorry, ma; I was just tired from yesterday's work to today's morning and I did not even have time to rest." She mouthed, explaining herself in the hopes that her sins would be forgiven, but explaining herself was the biggest mistake she made as her step-sister, Lorienta Fae, entered at that moment.

The head maid quickly bowed in respect and explained the situation; without listening, Lorienta delivered a resounding slap on Mavana's cheeks, sending her buttocks to the ground and causing a sharp headache.

"You bitch. Resting at this time, How useless do you want to be? It is my happy day, and you want to ruin it!" Lorienta screamed and slapped Mavana's face again, allowing the tears she had been holding to fall freely.

Her sassy self erupted, unconcerned about the pain and punishment that would ensue. "Do you truly believe today is your party? Do me the honor of sitting down and listening to the breakdown of this event" Mavana smirked mischievously as she stood up from the ground and folded her arm, looking at the surprised and puzzled expressions on both Lorienta and the head maid's faces.

"I will be rejected as the Alpha's mate today, before you are pronounced as the Alpha's mate. An ordinary Omega chose to be the Alpha's mate in heaven, while you were destined to be the Gardener's mate. Do you see how different we are? I may be weak, but this does not prevent me from thinking like a human being."

With a hiss, Mavana pushed past both of them and walked away, fully aware that she would still face the consequences of her comeback.

Lorienta's body burned in anger and rage, and she walked out of the kitchen, her mind burning in humiliation. She was furious at how a worthless omega could talk back to her.

She yanked the door open and walked in, her cheeks wet with fake tears. She sat on a wooden chair next to the door and began crying.

Alpha Carlos, who was searching for the best shoe to wear, lifted his head to see the crying beauty in front of him. He squeezed his eyes in disgust before quickly adopting a worried expression.

"What is the problem?" He inquired, walking closer to her. He sat beside her and drew her closer to console her.

"That bastard and worthless Omega insulted me, calling me a gold digger and soon to be Luna of a dickhead. "All sorts of names came out of her mouth just because I corrected her for sleeping on duty." She sniffed.

Alpha Carlos' body began to burn with rage and anger. He felt stupid and powerless that the useless Omega was his destined mate while also insulting him and his new mate. He swears to teach her a lesson.

"I want to see her suffer; I hate her." She cried again. Her plan was to make her hold the rings during the wedding vows and witness her and Alpha Carlos marry. She wants to see the expression on her face when Alpha Carlos rejects her today.

"I would have loved to read out her punishments now, but today is a big day, and I do not want a trashy being to ruin it, so let us finish the mate ritual." Alpha Carlos expressed his opinion and ruffled her hair before standing up.

"It is almost time for the event; let us get ready." He mouthed something, to which Lorienta smiled and walked out of the room to have the maids prepare it.

**************The big hall will host both the mate ritual and the marriage. Thousands of people attended, including members of other packs, demonstrating the significance of the event.

The hall was designed in an earthly style to show respect for the Earth and the Moon goddess. Priests, elders, and ring bearers were already on the altar, waiting for the couples to arrive.

Mavana was still in the kitchen, attempting to avoid serving at the event, so she immersed herself in the cooking and packaging theme until she was summoned by some guards and forced to dress in a stunning ball gown.

Despite the fact that her gown was simple and of poor quality, she appeared elegant and attractive.

Upon entering the hall first, Alpha Carlos was greeted with a standing ovation and applause. As the youngest and most active Alpha of Crest pack, he was greatly honored.

He approached the altar and made his respects to the priests and elders before taking a seat to wait for his mate.

Mavana was the next to enter, and the guards pushed her in without a word of respect. The audience stared at her and started muttering.

Her outfit and accessories were the first source of concern; they were extremely cheesy for someone who was going to be crowned a Luna. A worthless Omega who was mated to the Alpha of the Crest pack presented the second problem.

Though Mavana was taken aback by her earlier outfit, she now realizes that it was her body preparing for the ultimate humiliation. She forced herself to ignore the rumors and hateful remarks.

Holding a piece of cloth to control her nerves and stop the tears from flowing, she moved toward the altar and stood apart from everyone else. Alpha Carlos gave her a hateful look.

"Permit her to enter." A few of the elders raised their hands. Then, the big hall door opened, and the elegant Lorienta Fae entered, her shoes and other diamond accessories nearly blinding everyone. She walked classily towards the altar, receiving a standing ovation and startled claps. Alpha Carlos smiled and reached down to help her up.

"Let the process start, but rejection must occur first."

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."
