For everyone, Kyle Cyrus is annoying with questionable humor but behind all this facade of a man without problems hides a soul in need of affection. His meeting with Roxana Is perhaps the cure for his loneliness.

Saved by love Chapter 1 1

Kyle sighed lightly and poured himself a drink. He could be funny in front of everyone, make dubious jokes, be the womanizer that everyone knew, but once alone, locked in his apartment in the middle of nowhere, he became himself again . He was this Kyle who was so fragile and so alone who needed attention. He hated his life, this life which forced him every day to be what he was not during the day and to become again what he was in the coldness of his apartment. He walked towards the bay windows and encountered only vegetation, no soul living nearby.

Kyle had always led this lone wolf life, he liked to be alone without company, without anyone to dictate his behavior. He aspired to something whose exact definition he himself did not know, perhaps what his friend Alexander was experiencing. His phone rang, interrupting his thoughts.

- Justin, what a pleasure to hear you.

His friend huffed on the other end of the line. His friends tended to get annoyed by his behavior without knowing that it was the only way for him to forget his sad life. Not that Kyle lacked financial means, he was an excellent lawyer and was the head of a large law firm and owned several other businesses, Kyle had no one to share everything he owned with. Justin had his nanny and also her son. As for Alexander, he had his cousin and now his wife and two children. And Kyle didn't have anyone, it's true his friends were there for him but they had their own lives.

- Kyle, are you there? his friend asked him.

He sighed.

- Yes, I'm here Justin, I'm listening to you.

He walked over to the Couch and sat down. He was the lawyer for his two best friends and he was the one who handled their cases.

- I'm going back to New York next week, I wanted to know if everything was ready.

- Don't worry Justin, this Zack Gordon will be leaving the hotel shortly, I'll take care of it. Kyle replied, running a hand through his hair.

- Thanks Kyle, see you later.

He hung up and began to pace around his apartment, his friend had just recovered his hotel after several battles and he was responsible for putting everything back in place before his arrival. He put down his glass and headed to his room, took a shower and went to bed. The next day, he hurried to the hotel. He arrived there in a few minutes and entered the Entrance Hall. All attention was turned towards him. It must be said that Kyle loved drawing attention to himself, especially from women, but since he saw this young brunette woman everything had changed. He wanted at all costs to attract her attention but she seemed not to notice him. He rushed into the elevator hoping to meet her.

Roxana pushed her cart, wondering how long she would do this job. She had always wanted to be a doctor but life had decided otherwise, she did this job hoping to save money to take courses. She was heading towards one of the rooms when the elevator opened to reveal someone she didn't want to see all day.

"Not him," she whispered.

- I heard you, replied Kyle, approaching her in a nonchalant manner.

- Mr. Cyrus, what a pleasure to see you, she said ironically.

Kyle smiled widely and put his hands in his pockets.

- Usually I'm the one who gets ironic but you have to do it once. My tender and sweet Roxana , I am happy to see you this morning and it is sincere.

She rolled her eyes. It's true that he didn't have a good reputation, he was known to be an inveterate seducer.

- Sorry but no one is working, she said before grabbing her cart ready to leave.

But Kyle holds her by the arm.

"You know my invitation to dinner still stands," he whispered hoarsely.

- I am..

- Kyle my darling, finally I found you, I looked for you everywhere, called out a blonde.

Roxana took the opportunity to slip away. How annoying he was, always in the company of young women, each one more false than the last. She wondered what he found in them. For some reason this exasperated him .

- What do you want Trish.

She approached him and gave him a kiss on the mouth but he slowly pushed her away.

- Listen Trish I appreciate this time we spent together but it's time to say goodbye. He told him.

She suddenly became hysterical.

- You mean it's over? You're dropping me like a sock, aren't you?

- I think you understood, dear, so goodbye.

He left her standing in the middle of the corridor and went looking for the beautiful Roxana .

Roxana had finished cleaning the room and decided to go get Olivia. They had been friends for two years now and were inseparable. Roxana loved him very much and it was mutual. She found her in the locker room wearing her uniform.

- Olivia, you're late.

She turned around and noticed her dark circles under her eyes. Her friend wasn't getting enough sleep because she was constantly having nightmares after what she had experienced.

- Sorry darling I forgot that you had trouble sleeping but hurry up before the snow queen finds you here. Roxana continued .

- Thank you Roxy , you are a true friend, Olivia said to her, hugging her.

She left her and left the locker room because she had a lot of things to do. She met Kyle again and as always he had his smirk on his lips.

- See you again, he said.

Roxana huffed in exasperation. He wasn't giving up on that one.

- It's rather you who follow me everywhere, she pointed out to him.

She was right, he followed her everywhere but she pushed him away and he wasn't used to being told no. The more she pushed him away, the more he was attracted to her.

- You have not always responded to my invitation, I am still waiting for the response.

- There is no other answer to give because it is always no. NO, no.

She left him there and walked away. Kyle preferred to let her go. This young woman had something different from all those he had known. He found himself liking it.

- This is what we will see dear little Roxana , This is what we will see...

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
