In a small town, Rania and Daniel, cousins who have not seen each other for a long time, are reunited at a family reunion. Rania, who has been living abroad for a long time, returns to visit her family and feel like home again. Meanwhile, Daniel, her cousin who seems to have changed a lot, becomes a charming and mysterious figure. Their initially awkward meeting begins to develop into something deeper and more intimate.

Chapter 1 Rania stepped into the living room

Rania stepped into the living room of their extended family home. The aroma of cooking and the laughter of the guests filled the room. After years abroad, she felt a little awkward among a crowd of people she didn't know well.

"Rania?" the voice drifted softly to her ears.

She turned and saw Daniel standing in the doorway, wearing a black shirt that accentuated his sturdy body. Rania's eyes widened. "Daniel? How long has it been since we've seen each other?"

Daniel smiled thinly, approaching Rania. "Too long. I almost didn't recognize you with your new look."

Rania laughed lightly, feeling relieved. "You've changed just as much. So, how's your life?"

"You know, it's a bit complicated," Daniel replied, looking at Rania with a meaningful gaze. "But that's a long story. What about you? How's life abroad?"

"Pretty good, but I miss home," Rania said, looking around. "Missing the family atmosphere."

Daniel moved a little closer, as if wanting to speak more personally. "Then, let's talk further. Maybe outside?"

Rania nodded, feeling an unusual vibration. The two of them stepped onto the terrace, away from the crowd.

"Rania," Daniel said in a more serious tone, "I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable, but there's something I need to tell you."

Rania looked at him curiously. "What is it?"

Daniel paused for a moment, searching for words. "I've felt an attraction that I can't explain. I feel like there's something more between us, even though we're cousins."

Rania was taken aback, not knowing what to say. "Daniel, we're cousins..."

"I know," Daniel interrupted, his voice soft but determined. "But I can't help this feeling. How about we give ourselves a chance to understand more about what we're feeling?"

Rania felt her heart pounding. "This feels wrong, but I can't ignore this feeling either."

Daniel stepped closer, just inches from Rania's face. "Then let's try and see where this feeling takes us. But, if in the end we feel like this isn't right, we can stop anytime."

Rania took a deep breath, feeling a deep dilemma. "Okay, Daniel. Let's try, but we have to be careful."

Daniel reached out his hand, which Rania gently took. "Thank you, Rania. I'm sure we'll find the right path."

"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
