Chapter 1 First Meeting

A girl named Lily. She lived in a magnificent city, but her fate was not so lucky. She was a simple girl, had a gentle heart, and had a beautiful face. However, fate had another word for her when her family was entangled in serious financial problems.

"I don't want to marry someone I don't know. How could you sell me?" said Lily, who was on the verge of tears.

Lily's parents, pressed by mounting debts, felt they had no choice but to find a way out. Finally, they found a seemingly favorable deal by marrying Lily off to a Billionaire who already had a wife, but had yet to be blessed with a child. The Billionaire's wealth was expected to save Lily's family from bankruptcy.

"Forgive us, dear. This is one way to get rid of our endless debt," said Lily's mother, still forcing their daughter to marry a Billionaire.

"No, no, no. I still don't want to. I'd rather die right now. Instead of marrying someone I don't love!" Lily shouted in front of her parents.

"Look at this. They've even prepared all the contracts we need," said Lily's father handing over some files.

Lily was shocked and shaken by the proposal, initially refusing vehemently.

"Is my worth limited to this business proposal? Are you so willing to sell your only daughter?" Again, Lily could not accept. Her position was very unfavorable, she also did not want to be a disobedient daughter, but she also did not want to be a second wife.

"Please help us, this is only temporary until our economy stabilizes. Mommy promised to take you away," Lily's mother said sadly.

Lily could not bear to see her mother crying, because all this time it was Lily who had no role whatsoever

"Honey, Mommy please just this once." Lily's hand was grasped, the woman was already sobbing.

As Lily's parents told her how important the deal was for their survival, Lily's heart instantly broke.

Finally, with a heavy heart, she agreed to marry the Billionaire.

"Okay. I agree." Lily went straight into her room. She brooded all night. Her life had changed completely, even though she had never demanded any wealth from her parents.

"What a miserable fate I have. How can I continue living as a second wife," Lily mumbled through tears. The girl was completely stuck and confused. There was no way she could leave her parents when they were in distress.

Not long after signing the contract, the wedding day between Lily and the Billionaire was set.

"So soon?" asked Lily when her parents told her that they would be getting married soon.

"Take it easy. The wedding party will only be attended by close relatives and a few people. You don't need to worry, dear." Lily's mother Ester smiled with satisfaction as her daughter finally agreed to the wedding.

"Ester! Look at this," Lily's father suddenly came with a letter. The man read it aloud.

"Oh my! We're officially getting a piece of the farm." Esther, who was none other than Lily's mother, screamed with joy. As for Lily, the girl was full of misery. She didn't even know what the future held.

"Why are you feeling so happy? Don't you feel guilty for selling me?" said Lily amidst her parents' excitement.

"Take it easy, dear. We are marrying you off to a very wealthy man. The richest in the whole country," Estee said with a beaming smile.

"But you must remember. As soon as possible, you must provide an heir for that rich man. If you don't, then your position will be dangerous, as his first wife is unlikely to stay silent." Lily's father gave a warning, for some reason Lily had always disliked the nature of her parents.

"I'm so tired," mumbled Lily who was ignored by her parents. Instead, they were having fun because they had managed to get a portion of the farm.

"Don't do anything strange. Your wedding is the day after tomorrow. Don't try to run away," Esther threatened her daughter.

Lily was surprised to hear her mother's confession, even threatening.

"How can Mommy be blind to such wealth," Lily retorted without fear.

"Everything in this world needs money. How can you live if you don't have money!" Esther glared, staring intently at Lily.

The girl could only look down. She had nowhere to go. Her marriage was fixed. But her heart ached to accept the harsh reality.

As night fell, a family meeting was held before Lily san the Billionaire was officially married.

"Strengthen me, O Lord. If this is the best, it's okay, I'll let it go as long as Mom and Dad live well," Lily said, trying to smile.

Lily wore a dark green dress with a small lace that clung slightly to her chest.

With trembling steps, Lily walked into the family meeting. The little girl could only let out a rough sigh. She did not dare to stare, even for a glance.

"Is this what my destiny looks like?" said Lily standing next to her mother.

"Is she the one named Lily?" pointed out a woman who was both beautiful and luxurious. The things she wore were very expensive and luxurious.

Lily's mother quickly nodded, "Yes, it is. This is our daughter. We have guaranteed her fertility," said Esther, embracing Lily's arm.

The girl could only surrender, she actually wanted to hit her mother who was suddenly so sweet.

"So innocent," the woman continued in a chuckling voice.

"Isn't that nice? You don't have to worry if Alex will love that girl," said one of the other women.

Lily ventured to look at the people around her. She was unable to guess which one was her future husband.

"Don't waste time. There's no way I love this little girl. I only need her womb," said the man who was a little far away from Lily.

The girl went straight to the origin of the voice. Sure enough, Lily found a handsome man with broad shoulders like a nobleman.

Lily slowly exhaled a rough breath. "It looks like I'm just a child-maker," Lily said a little loudly.

Ester who heard that immediately smacked Lily lightly on the arm, and smiled awkwardly in front of everyone.

"Did you expect more?" asked the lavishly dressed woman. Lily didn't know that it was the Billionaire's first wife.

"No." Lily answered briefly. That made the woman who had asked a little furious.

"Understand, you're just a child-maker, nothing more. Don't lead anything!" the woman said loudly.

"Stop it Sasa! You shouldn't talk like that to the girl who will give us offspring!" one of the men replied. He looked old from the sound of his voice.

Lily quickly looked in the direction of the voice, and sure enough it was Alex's parents, which meant Sasa's in-laws.

"Looks like this fancy dress woman is Alex's first wife," Lily muttered dryly.

"So? Is our family having a wedding next weekv?" asked Esther, afraid that things might get heated.

But Sasa made a face of displeasure. She still didn't want Alex to marry another woman. Even if it wasn't worth it to her.

For seventeen years, I was the crown jewel of the Kensington empire, the perfect daughter groomed for a royal future. Then, a cream-colored envelope landed in my lap, bearing a gold crest and a truth that turned my world into ice. The DNA test result was a cold, hard zero percent-I wasn't a Kensington. Before the ink could even dry, my parents invited my replacement, a girl named Alleen, into the drawing room and treated me like a trespasser in my own home. My mother, who once hosted galas in my honor, wouldn't even look me in the eye as she stroked Alleen's arm, whispering that she was finally "safe." My father handed me a one-million-dollar check-a mere tip for a billionaire-and told me to leave immediately to avoid tanking the company's stock price. "You're a thief! You lived my life, you spent my money, and you don't get to keep the loot!" Alleen shrieked, trying to claw the designer jacket off my shoulders while my "parents" watched with clinical detachment. I was dumped on a gritty sidewalk in Queens with nothing but three trunks and the address of a struggling laborer I was now supposed to call "Dad." I traded a marble mansion for a crumbling walk-up where the air smelled of exhaust and my new bedroom was a literal storage closet. My biological family thought I was a broken princess, and the Kensingtons thought they had successfully erased me with a payoff and a non-disclosure agreement. They had no idea that while I was hauling trunks up four flights of stairs, my secret media empire was already preparing to move against them. As I sat on a thin mattress in the dark, I opened my encrypted laptop and sent a single command that would cost my former father ten million dollars by breakfast. They thought they were throwing me to the wolves, but they forgot one thing: I'm the one who leads the pack.

I had been a wife for exactly six hours when I woke up to the sound of my husband’s heavy breathing. In the dim moonlight of our bridal suite, I watched Hardin, the man I had adored for years, intertwined with my sister Carissa on the chaise lounge. The betrayal didn't come with an apology. Hardin stood up, unashamed, and sneered at me. "You're awake? Get out, you frumpy mute." Carissa huddled under a throw, her fake tears already welling up as she played the victim. They didn't just want me gone; they wanted me erased to protect their reputations. When I refused to move, my world collapsed. My father didn't offer a shoulder to cry on; he threatened to have me committed to a mental asylum to save his business merger. "You're a disgrace," he bellowed, while the guards stood ready to drag me away. They had spent my life treating me like a stuttering, submissive pawn, and now they were done with me. I felt a blinding pain in my skull, a fracture that should have broken me. But instead of tears, something dormant and lethal flickered to life. The terrified girl who walked down the aisle earlier that day simply ceased to exist. In her place, a clinical system—the Valkyrie Protocol—booted up. My racing heart plummeted to a steady sixty beats per minute. I didn't scream. I stood up, my spine straightening for the first time in twenty years, and looked at Hardin with the detachment of a surgeon looking at a tumor. "Correction," I said, my voice stripped of its stutter. "You're in my light." By dawn, I had drained my father's accounts, vanished into a storm, and found a bleeding Crown Prince in a hidden safehouse. They thought they had broken a mute girl. They didn't realize they had just activated their own destruction.
