Poor Husband’s Betrayal Chapter 1 New Neighbors

The slightly cloudy morning atmosphere makes anyone still feel at home to wrap his body with a blanket. Unlike Raisa, the woman had to wake up early to prepare provisions for her husband to go to work.

The sound of a four-month-old baby crying came from inside Raisa's house. The woman immediately went into her room.

"Don't cry anymore," said Raisa's husband. The man calmed his fussy son.

Raisa, who was still busy in the kitchen, shouted to her husband to give the baby some milk.

"Honey ... Anya, give me the milk on the table," Raisa said with her hands deftly chopping vegetables. Her husband immediately gave a baby bottle filled with milk to Anya, their child.

"Oh... it turns out Anya is thirsty, honey." the husband chatted with their daughter. There was no more sound of Anya's crying. Raisa could finally cook in peace.

Her deft hands move here and there to make provisions for her husband. Her enthusiastic face is reflected in the song she sings while meak.

"Is Anya asleep yet?" Raisa asked her husband.

"Already, she's just sleeping," replied her husband as he pecked Raisa's forehead. As usual, Raisa smiled at receiving romantic treatment from her husband.

"Honey, it's a habit to kiss early in the morning." Raisa mumbled, blushing.

"Why the hell, baby? We're used to this," Arka replied, hugging her intimately.

"Ouch... don't make me melt."

Raisa returned her husband's embrace and enjoyed his warm embrace. Her heart told her that she was the luckiest woman in the world for being Arka's legal wife.

"Drrt drrt"

The sound of a cell phone ringing came from the nightstand in their room. Arka quickly picked up the phone, checking who had called so early.

"Hello?" Arka picked up the phone.

"Have you prepared the files I asked for yesterday?" said the person on the other side.

"Yes, sir. I'll be at the office in a minute." Arka replied with a lazy face.

The call was cut off unilaterally by the interlocutor, without any closing sentence. Arka swore a little to the person who had called her early in the morning.

"You're useless. You can only tell me what to do."

"What's wrong?"

"Who the hell calls this early in the morning?" Raisa heard her husband's complaint. Then he asked, curious as to who was calling so early.

"It's normal. The boss is a dictator," Arka said as she grabbed her towel. Walking towards the bathroom.

Raisa opened the front door of her house. The morning breeze hit her beautiful face. Her graceful and sweet face makes anyone's heart melt.

"Where the hell did Arka put the car keys," Raisa complained to herself. The woman went back inside her house.

"Honey! Where are the car keys?" Raisa shouted at the bathroom door.

"Maybe in the pocket of the pants I used for work yesterday," Arka said from the bathroom.

Raisa then rushed to the dirty clothes basket. She looked for the work pants that her husband had worn yesterday. The long black pants smelled good.

"What's this?" Raisa observed a piece of paper like a payment receipt. But it was tattered.

The woman was curious, put her husband's pants back on and read the writing on the paper.

"Total payment of twenty million? What does this mean?" muttered Raisa. The woman's mind was suddenly prejudiced.

"Did you find the car keys?" asked Arka who appeared in front of Raisa. The woman quickly stuffed the paper into her pants pocket.

"Ah, yes, this." Raisa held up the car keys. Then she smiled.

She hurriedly left the house, opened Arka's car door and put her lunch on the passenger seat. Just now Raisa wanted to get into the house. Suddenly there was a woman's voice calling her son.

"Aska! Don't run out of the house!" a young woman shouted.

"Wow... I think we have a new neighbor here." Raisa turned her head, finding a young woman chasing after a small child.

Raisa went back inside her house. Her husband was already dressed and smelling nice.

"You're ready to go," Raisa admonished. She forgot for a moment about the payment paper in her husband's pants pocket.

"Yes, dear. What will you buy me when I get home?" Arka asked. The man's hands were busy replying to someone's message.

"No need."

Raisa looked up at her husband. Arka kissed his wife's lips affectionately.

"There's already someone living next door to us." Raisa released their lips. Arka squinted.

"Really?"

Raisa nodded, then smiled. "I plan to visit there later."

"It's not bad that we have neighbors. I haven't had neighbors for a long time." continued Raisa.

Arka nodded slowly. Her gaze focused on the cell phone that had been busy ringing. Raisa chose to remain silent, she wasn't curious.

"I'm leaving for work first." Arka kissed his wife on the forehead.

"Be careful. Don't flirt or be tempted by other women," Raisa joked. Arka laughed a little and then waved and left.

Before leaving, Raisa kissed the back of her husband's hand. She also prayed for her husband to be facilitated in all matters.

Raisa waved back. Not forgetting the sweet smile on her tiny lips. Raisa closed the gate of her house again.

"Apparently there are already residents," Raisa murmured, peering at the house next door. In front of the house was parked the latest sports car.

The sound of Anya's crying was heard again. Raisa hurried to her room and put the broom in a random place.

"Honey is awake?" Raisa immediately picked up the baby. Anya, who had been crying, immediately shut up when she saw her inu coming.

"Anya thirsty? Do you want to drink milk? Do you want to drink milk?" said Raisa, inviting her little daughter to talk.

Anya laughed at the inu's words. Anya stopped crying, then looked at her mother intently as she suckled.

After breastfeeding Anya, Raisa then bathed her child and continued sweeping the house which had been delayed. Anya was laughing ge. Her beautiful face has been visible since she was a child.

"Now Anya be quiet first. I'll get the diapers first."

Not to be outdone by her beautiful face. Raisa also has deft and diligent hands. She never complains about taking care of the house and children alone. Even though her husband's salary is enough to hire a babysitter. But Raisa refused to do that, she chose to do it herself and quit the company.

"Do you want me to take Anya to our next-door neighbor?" asked Raisa to her baby who couldn't talk yet.

"Just a moment, let me get the sling first. Then we'll play." Raisa went to the closet.

Raisa held Anya with the fruit in her hand. She didn't forget to give a hand to her new neighbor.

Raisa knocked on the door of her next-door neighbor's house. She waited a little while before the owner opened the door.

"Hello. I'm Raisa," Raisa said politely.

"Oh Raisa. I'm Maya. I'm new here. Let's go to the house," Maya invited Raisa.

Raisa also uk into Maya's house. The sultan's aura radiated from inside Maya's house. The contents of her house are luxurious and quality goods. Raisa was dumbfounded to see it. But she quickly focused on Maya.

"Oh hi. Are you Aska?" Raisa asked a boy.

"Yes, aunty. My name is Aska." the boy said in reply to Raisa's question.

"Aska is really cute. How old is she?" Raisa asked conversationally.

"Three years old. I want to go to work, but the nanny hasn't arrived yet," Maya said, glancing at her watch.

"It turns out you want to go to work. I thought I was just at home like me," said Raisa with a small smile.

"I'm already comfortable working," Maya replied while holding her child.

"Then I'll take my leave and go home. Next time I'll play again on my day off," Raisa said as she put the fruit on the table.

"I'm really sorry Raisa. I haven't been able to accompany you to chat," Maya said, looking at the fruit brought by Raisa.

"No problem. I'll go home first. Goodbye Aska."

Raisa waved goodbye to Aska. Overheard in the distance, Aska did not want to be left behind by her mother.

"Mommy! Aska doesn't want to be with the nurse! She wants to be with Mommy. Come on, try to stop working like the auntie next to us!" little Aska yelled.

"Don't equate Mami with that damn woman!" Maya stared intently at Raisa's departure from the window.

REGINA MCBRIDE

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.

The Jilted Heiress: Her Secret Billionaire Life

I returned to the city for the only person who ever truly loved me—my dying grandfather. As the "forgettable" daughter of the wealthy Clemons family, I had spent years hiding my true identity as a world-class elite behind oversized hoodies and a silent, exhausted demeanor. But the welcome home was a nightmare. My family made it clear I was nothing more than a parasite, unaware that I had just saved a powerful stranger's life on the train or that I was the silent partner of the very club they were visiting. While they sipped champagne in a VIP penthouse I had secretly upgraded for them, they left me standing outside in a freezing downpour for hours. My cousin Belle recorded me, laughing as she called me a "drowned rat" for her social media followers. My father, Glyn, even sent me a formal notice revoking my access to the family trust, thinking he was cutting off my only means of survival. He had no idea my private bank account held eighty-five million dollars. The betrayal cut even deeper when I discovered the darkest truth: they were swapping my grandfather’s life-saving medication for cheap generics just to pocket the extra cash. I stood in the mud, watching the people who shared my DNA celebrate their greed while they slowly killed the man who raised me. How could they be so blind? How could they treat me like trash while they lived off the crumbs of my secret success? "Enjoy it while it lasts," I whispered against the cold glass. I was done playing the victim and done hiding in the shadows to protect their fragile egos. I pulled out my encrypted phone and dialed my head of security. As an armored Range Rover pulled up to the curb and the city’s most dangerous man watched me from the shadows, I realized I was done being the "charity case." It was time to show the Clemons family who really owned this city.
