Eva
Rules are created and meant to be broken. The same goes for all humans who decide to venture into the business of killing with the sword and dying by it .
“Eva Eva are you there?” Dominik's loud voice rang through
h the chip I was wearing, completely startling me out of my thoughts.
“Yea, careful my ears are still valuable to me”
“You weren't listening, that's why I had to shout,he just left the meeting to his office this is the right time to strike”
“Oh on it”
I didn't need any directions anymore as I slipped on my skeleton shaped mask ,meant to cover the users face completely, the only opening on the mask was just the silk around the eyes.
Swiftly slipped my hand into the band of my jean, confirming my gun was still secured at the holster that I put it in earlier as I hit the gear and headed straight to the Marco club.
I've been sitting in my car for not more than thirty minutes waiting for directions from Dominik who was in charge of tech and tracking.
All I needed was an alert that the enemy was out and about and luckily he has. I shuffled through the compartment in car in search of the cigarette I had tossed into the car earlier, while one hand was fixed tightly around the steering.
The plan I have so harbored for years and trained for will start today and I was more than happy to do so.
I puffed out the smoke out of the now lighted cigarette as my mind was filled with nothing but the thought of Arnold Marco dying through my hand today.
As I approached the Marco club, the lights reflecting off the clear pavement, my heart rate remained steady. Years of training had got me ready for moments like these. I parked the car a few blocks away to avoid drawing any attention and made my way toward the entrance.
Dominik’s voice sounded in my ear again, quieter this time. “Security is light tonight. Marco doesn’t expect trouble. Remember, you have five minutes tops before his bodyguards return from their rounds.”
“Got it,” I muttered, slipping through the shadows. The club's back entrance was less guarded, just as Dominik had predicted. The door was locked, but I’d come prepared. I retrieved a slim lock-picking set from my pocket and quickly got to work. Within seconds, the door clicked open.
The interior was dimly lit,as I passed through the main club heading directly towards the office of the man I had unfinished business with, the silence along the hallway was maddening but also advantageous to me as the only sound heard was from my calculated movement.
As I reached the door to Marco's office, I could hear his sickly voice inside, raised in anger. “...and I don’t care what it takes, I want it done!” His words were drowned by the sound of something heavy slamming onto a desk.
A wild guess would be his hand
Taking a deep breath, I prepared myself. This was it, the moment I had waited for. I kicked the door open, my gun already drawn and aimed at Marco. He looked up, surprise and fury mingling in his eyes.
“Who the hell are you?” He yelled trying to reach in for his drawer on his desk but I was fast.
“Don't you dare” I said my voice fully coated with malice and hatred “your end time is now Marco say me hi to the devil”
The old man looked like he was about to beg for his life, but his feigned fear didn't hide the evil look I saw years ago.
Before he could react, I pulled the trigger. The silencer muffled the gunshot, and Marco slumped back in his chair, a look of shock frozen on his face. I stood there for a moment, the weight of years of planning and training settling over me.
I didn't stop there as I fired two more straight to his forehead. Then drew out my knife from my shoe and drew out a number on him.
