Monique Carolll was known for her serious and reserved nature until she fell in love...with someone who didn't reciprocate her feelings. For love, she left everything behind to marry the man she thought was the love of her life. As a housewife, she did everything to take care of him for three years. But in the end, she realized that for him, everything she did,did not even live up to her first love. Discouraged, she finally resolutely applied for divorce: "Farewell, I no longer pretend to be humble and poor!" At that time, a shocking news circulated online: "A certain billionaire is suspected of having divorced?"

Chapter 1 STOP TALKING,LETS DIVORCE

That night.

Monique Carroll turned and turned on the bed and had trouble sleeping. She felt like she was stuck under something and was almost out of breath.Strangely, it even seemed to hear a heavy breathing so close to her.

Immediately after, a sharp and throbbing pain came directly from nowhere between her legs.An idea suddenly crossed her mind and Monique opened her eyes with horror. She vaguely saw a shadow stand above her. It was a man!

"Blaise, is it... you?"

The man replied slightly with a 'hum'.His breath smelled of alcohol and after carrying attack blows, this man made no noise.

When she heard the familiar voice, Monique sighed with relief. Following the man's movements, she also began to appreciate the pleasant tingling sensation. Involuntarily, she let out delicate and satisfied growls. The attack was becoming more and more fierce. She clenched her teeth, endured the pain and indulged in an unparalleled ambiguous passion.

After three years of marriage, Blaise Freeman was finally ready to touch her! Because she had been chosen by the old Mr.Freeman, Blaise had not even looked at her properly in the last three years.Tonight, he finally came to her room.Whatever her reason, she was really very happy!

Two hours later, Blaise was finally exhausted and lay down on her with a heavy and suffocated moan. The moonlight outside the floor-to-ceiling window drew the contours of his perfect body.Monique listened to the extremely fast beating of his heart. It was so real, and yet It still looked like a dream. If it was really a dream, she preferred never to wake up.

She wrapped her arms around his neck, almost obsessively: "Blaise....Blaise, I'm really..."

She had not finished the three words "I love you" when she was interrupted by the man's deep voice: "Lottie..."

Monique was petrified. His heart was beating.Lottie was actually Charlotte Matthews, Blaise's first love. Because of the old Mr.Freeman, Charlotte had been abroad over the years. But she came back yesterday! And she even sent him very provocative messages.

.....

"Monique, I'm back, and there will be no more room for you in the Freeman family from now on!Blaise and I grew up together. You really think you can take my place? Go back to your orphanage now. That's where your place is.You don't know how much Blaise loves me. He will certainly call my name even if he sleeps right next to you. In the end, you are at best only my replacement. Poor Monique, it must have been so terrible for you, right?"

"A replacement?"

No, she has never been a ridiculous replacement. She was Monique, the real Mrs. Freeman chosen by old Mr. Freeman.

However, Monique still heard Blaise's murmurs: " Lottie, Lottie..."

Charlotte's sarcastic messages came back into her mind, as if they were telling her not to lie to herself again.Tears suddenly gushed out of her eyes in an uncontrolled way. Monique clenched her fists and tried to stop shaking.

In recent years, she had tried so much to be a good wife. She had been so careful to make Blaise happy, him and his family, and she had even left her job just for this man. But, as she was an orphan, her extremely greedy mother-in-law and sister-in-law did not cease to humiliate her and make her life difficult.

Nevertheless, she did not want to cause problems for Blaise, so she had to endure all this on her own.Wasn't she humble enough to get his love? Why did he have to trample so violently on his last piece of self-respect?This night was extraordinarily long. And Monique almost didn't close her eyes.

....

The next morning.

Blaise was awakened by the blinding light of the sun through the window. He rubbed his eyebrows. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Monique sitting at the hairdresser, with her back to him.

The crazy memories of last night suddenly came back to him. He realized something and hermetically closed his eyes with impatience, silent but apparent. Monique, although she turned her back on him, could clearly feel the man's hostility.

However, she continued her care routine as if nothing had happened, when her wrist is suddenly seized violently and she is pulled from her seat. The bottle she held in her hand fell on the floor and broke into pieces. The cream therefore spread on the floor.

Monique looked up and stared at Blaise, but her heart was always beating uncontrollably when she saw rage and disgust in the man's eyes.

"Do you think you can be a real Mrs. Freeman with just a few nasty drugs? Do you think you can be something just because I touched you?"

She looked at the imposing man who clenched his teeth and stared at her. He did not release his grip on her wrist, but instead held it more firmly. His beautiful face was unusually appalling because of his tyrannical look.

"Drugs?" Monique said with a corner smile: "In your eyes, am I that kind of woman?"

Blaise showed a grin. In his eyes, there was a strong and obvious disgust: "You certainly used your seduction to deceive my grandfather also at the time so that I had to marry you. So why are you playing the innocent now?"

"You are petty and mean by nature. You're not even worthy to compare yourself to Lottie!"

"Petty and mean? To play the innocent?" She said, staring at him.

It turned out that she was so bad in his heart. As for drugs, if she really wanted to do it, she would have done it earlier. Why has she waited until now?It was ridiculous and the efforts she had made over the last three years were just bullshit.

In this case, she did not need to insist.Monique endured the pain on her wrist, clenched her teeth and shook her hand fiercely. Then she looked up and said in a firm tone.

"Blaise, let's divorce."

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

I woke up in a blindingly white hotel penthouse with a throbbing headache and the taste of betrayal in my mouth. The last thing I remembered was my stepsister, Cathie, handing me a flute of champagne at the charity gala with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Now, a tall, dangerously handsome man walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips. On the nightstand sat a stack of hundred-dollar bills. My stepmother had finally done it—she drugged me and staged a scandal with a hired escort to destroy my reputation and my future. "Aisha! Is it true you spent the night with a gigolo?" The shouts of a dozen reporters echoed through the heavy oak door as camera flashes exploded through the peephole. My phone lit up with messages showing my bank accounts were already frozen. My father was invoking the 'morality clause' in my mother’s trust fund, and my fiancé had already released a statement dumping me to marry my stepsister instead. I was trapped, penniless, and being hunted by the press for a scandal I hadn't even participated in. My own family had sold me out for a payday, and the man standing in front of me was the only witness who could prove I was innocent—or finish me off for good. I didn't have time to cry. According to the fine print of the trust, I had thirty days to prove my "rehabilitation" through a legal marriage or I would lose everything. I tracked the man down to a coffee shop the next morning, watching him take a thick envelope of cash from a wealthy older woman. I sat across from him and slid a napkin with a $50,000 figure written on it. "I need a husband. Legal, paper-signed, and convincing." He looked at the number, then at me, a slow, crooked smile spreading across his face. I thought I was hiring a desperate gigolo to save my inheritance. I had no idea I was actually proposing to Dominic Fields, the reclusive billionaire shark who was currently planning a hostile takeover of my father’s entire empire.
