After her pack is attacked, Eva is forced to flee with her twin siblings and her newborn baby. Not knowing if anyone in her pack is still alive. Eva must guide her little family to the human territory and make a new life for herself. But what will happen when she realises they are being followed? Is her mate really dead?

Eva Chapter 1 One

Sebastian held Eva tightly, his eyes filled with both worry and excitement. He had been waiting for this moment, eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child. But seeing Eva in such pain and distress broke his heart, and he wished he could take away her suffering. "You're doing amazing, Eva," he whispered, his voice filled with love and support. "Just breathe through the pain; focus on your breathing. Our baby is almost here." Eva nodded, her grip on Sebastian's neck tightening with each agonising contraction.

She felt mixed emotions - fear, anticipation, and overwhelming love for the little life growing inside her. She knew every bit of pain was worth it, but amid labour, it was hard to remember. Sebastian tried his best to soothe her, offering encouragement and wiping away her sweat. He felt a sense of awe and wonder, witnessing the strength and resilience of the woman he loved. Eva's determination radiated through her pain, enflaming his admiration and love for her even more. As the contractions intensified, Eva's cries grew louder, echoing through the room. Sebastian held her, providing a steady presence amidst the chaos. He spoke softly, reminding her of her inner strength and guiding her through each wave of pain. With every passing minute, the sound of their baby's heartbeat filled the room, soothing both Eva and Sebastian's nerves. It reminded them of the beautiful life they had created together and the miracle that was about to unfold. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Eva's body went still. The room held a breath of anticipation as she took a moment to gather her strength. Then, with one final push, the cries of a newborn filled the air. Sebastian's eyes filled with tears of joy as he looked down at the tiny, wrinkled being in Eva's arms. Their baby, their precious gift. Eva's pain and exhaustion were instantly forgotten, replaced by overwhelming love and wonder. As they marvelled at their tiny miracle, Eva nestled their baby against her chest, feeling an immediate bond forming between them. Sebastian leaned in, placing a gentle kiss on both Eva's forehead and their baby's head. "We did it," he whispered, his voice filled with pride and awe. "We brought new life into this world. Our family is complete." Eva smiled through her tears, her exhaustion fading away in the presence of their little bundle of joy. She nodded, her heart overflowing with love and gratitude. "Yes," she whispered, her voice filled with tenderness. "Our family. Together, we can face anything." As they held each other and their newborn child, Eva and Sebastian knew that their love and strength would support them through any challenge in both the human and werewolf worlds they inhabited. They were ready to embark on this new chapter as parents, nurturing and protecting their precious gift with an unyielding devotion. Eva and Sebastian exchanged worried glances as the pack alarm echoed throughout their home. Their hearts raced with anxiety, knowing that something serious must be happening to disrupt the peacefulness of their pack. They could feel the air in the room grow heavy with tension as they listened intently to the urgent calls coming through the speaker. Sebastian quickly handed their newborn baby to Eva, ensuring their safety before focusing on the alarm. As Beta of their pack, he was responsible for addressing any threats or emergencies that arose. "Stay here with our baby," Sebastian said firmly, his voice filled with love and determination. "I'll go check on what's happening." Eva nodded her instincts as a protective mother kicking in. She cradled their child close to her chest, whispering soothing words to comfort them. Sebastian rushed out of the room, leaving Eva and their little one in the nursery. Fear coursed through his veins, but training and duty drove him forward. He made his way to the pack's central meeting area, where the rest of the pack members gathered, their faces etched with concern. "What's going on? Where is Alpha?" Sebastian demanded, his authoritative voice cutting through the chatter. One of the older pack members approached him, his expression grave. "There's been an attack on our borders," he said, his voice heavy with worry. "A rival pack is trying to invade our territory. Alpha is already out there." "You know what to do," Sebastian said. "Yes, of course." He bowed and quickly sprung to action to help gather all the vulnerable members and get them to the main safe house. Sebastian's heart clenched. He knew how important it was to protect their pack and their family. He quickly rallied the remaining warrior pack members, ensuring they prepared to defend their homeland. The safety of his mate and their newborn child fueled his determination. He knew he had to ensure they would not be found if the worst did become of the pack. In the nursery, Eva held their baby close, her instincts to shield and protect overpowering her worry for Sebastian. She murmured soothing lullabies, hoping to create a calm atmosphere despite the chaos outside their door. The pack's howls and battle cries grew louder, the intensity of the confrontation reverberating through the walls. Eva's heart ached with worry for Sebastian and their pack, but she refused to let fear consume her. She knew that Sebastian, their strong and capable Alpha, would do everything he could to protect them. "Eva, we need to get you out of here." He hurriedly picked her up as she cradled their newborn to her chest. She had no time to grab anything as Sebastian rushed out of the nursery and down the suddenly silent and empty corridors. "Eddie and Millie, get up now. Let's go. You know the drill. Let's go." Sebastian ordered as the twins rubbed their tired eyes and looked around in a confused daze. They did as they were told and followed Sebastian out into the corridors and down a long staircase that seemed to go on forever. "Where are we going?" Eva yelled as Sebastian finally came to the basement of the pack. "Eva, this place is the safest in our pack quarters. The underground tunnels lead out to safety. If, for any reason, I'm not back. Please go to the end of the tunnel, find the Old Ford escort, and get in and drive. Drive and never look back. There is plenty of money for a new life in the human town. Just promise me that you will do what I'm telling you?" He said. Eva could only nod through tears as she hugged Sebastian tightly and wished she did not have to let go of him. "The twins and our baby are all that matters." He whispered as he kissed her one last time and slammed the steel metal door behind him. Eva held her baby and cried a hundred tears. Millie and Eddie sat on the floor silently, afraid to speak in fear of what would become of their pack.

His Luna’s Rejection, Her Alpha’s Mistake: “So, she’s pregnant with your heir is she?” Della raised her eyebrows as it all started to make sense. She had tried for months to fall pregnant but it hadn’t happened and now she knew why. “Yes, he’s going to be a father and I a mother. I guess you will never know how good it feels to have a tiny pup growing in your belly.” Anna gloated smugly at Della. Xavier's heart sank as he heard Anna's words, a jolt of realization running through him. A wave of guilt washed over him as he thought about the consequences of his actions, not just on Luna but potentially on the child she was carrying. He looked back at Luna, who stood there, her eyes filled with a mix of hurt and disbelief. The reality of what he had done hit him like a ton of bricks, and for the first time, he truly saw the depth of pain he had caused. “Then I will go, but let me tell you something, Anna. The moon goddess will punish you and you will be bought to your knees and begging for forgiveness and redemption. You will never be as loved and adored as i by the silver moon pack members. You are merely nothing but a weakened omega using the alpha to gain power. You will never be a true luna and your baby will be a curse, not a blessing." With these words, Luna turned away, leaving Xavier and Anna standing there in shock. Xavier, the alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, finds himself torn between duty and love. His heart belongs to Luna, a kind-hearted and loyal pack member, but his desires lead him astray towards Anna, a manipulative omega seeking power. Luna, heartbroken by Xavier's betrayal, curses him and walks away from the pack. As she settles in the city, Luna discovers that she is pregnant with Xavier's children. Fueled by anger and a desire for revenge against Anna and Xavier, Luna vows to raise her babies on her own terms and make them strong enough to challenge the pack that betrayed her. Meanwhile, Xavier uncovers Anna's lies about her pregnancy and realizes the depth of her deceit. Driven by guilt and a longing to make amends with Luna, Xavier sets out to find her and seek her forgiveness. However, as he delves deeper into the city, Xavier realizes the extent of the damage caused by his choices and wonders if it's too late to repair the broken bond with Luna. In the city, Luna meets a mysterious man who offers her a chance at a new life outside the pack. Drawn to his kindness and understanding, Luna begins to soften her heart and open herself up to the possibility of love once again. But when Xavier finally locates Luna, will their reunion bring closure and healing, or will the wounds of the past be too deep to mend?

For two years, I was the invisible force behind tech billionaire Kieran Douglas, convinced that our "private" romance was his way of protecting us from the tabloid spotlight. I managed his mergers, warmed his bed, and waited for a future that didn't exist. The illusion shattered at 6:00 AM when a Page Six alert debuted Kieran’s "real" romance with socialite Aspen Schneider. Before I could even process the betrayal, Kieran sent me a cold, professional text: "Order flowers for Aspen. Pink peonies. Her favorite." When I tried to walk away, my own mother called me a disgrace and threatened to lock my inheritance forever unless I married a sixty-year-old businessman to save her failing estate. At a high-society gala that same night, Aspen intentionally crushed my burned hand in front of the cameras, while Kieran stood by and dismissed me as a "mediocre assistant" who had overstayed her welcome. I stood in the cold New York rain, drenched in champagne and humiliation, realizing that every sacrifice I made for Kieran was a joke. I was a ghost in a penthouse that was never mine, discarded the moment his "soulmate" returned. To the world, I was just a placeholder whose time had run out. But Kieran forgot one thing: my father’s multi-million dollar trust fund unlocks the moment I legally marry. I didn't need love; I needed a signature and a shield. I walked into a discreet law firm and signed a marriage contract with a man I believed was the city’s most notorious, scandal-ridden playboy. I thought I was marrying a degenerate "beard" to buy my freedom and secure my revenge. I didn't realize the man who signed that paper wasn't a playboy at all, but Gaston Collins—the most powerful and dangerous man on Wall Street—and he had no intention of letting our fake marriage stay fake.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I was the titan of Wall Street until an indictment and an ankle monitor turned my penthouse into a gilded cage. To save face, I was forced into a marriage with Elza, a "mute" girl from the Schmidt family whom I treated as nothing more than a silent piece of furniture while my empire crumbled. The night I was poisoned at a high-society gala, a mysterious server in an oversized uniform saved my life with terrifying, clinical precision. They disappeared into the night, leaving me with a silver cufflink and a burning obsession to find the shadow who held my life in their hands. Back home, I took my frustration out on Elza, telling her she was "exhausting to look at" and "smelled like sickness" after her charity visits. Her own family treated her like a stray dog, trying to humiliate her at the next gala by dressing her in what they claimed was a cheap knockoff while whispering to the press that she was nothing but a high-end escort. "Stay out of my way," I would growl at her, never noticing the steel in her eyes. I sat at my table, watching my rivals' stocks plummet and wondering who "The Zero"—the legendary financial ghost—really was. I never suspected that the woman I ignored was the same one solving the equations that were currently burning Manhattan to the ground. The injustice peaked when Elza stood before the city's elite, not as a victim, but as a queen. She dropped over a hundred million dollars to buy back her family’s legacy, revealing a secret fortune that made my own empire look like pocket change. As I grabbed her wrist and saw the small red mole hidden beneath her watch, the truth hit me like a physical blow. The silent wife I had despised was the savior I had been hunting, and she was finally done playing the victim. "We have a lot to talk about, wife," I whispered, realizing I had been sleeping next to the most dangerous woman in the world.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.
