Hallie is determined to become the best female top warrior no matter what it takes. She is not going to let anything stop her, not even some mate bond that she doesn't even want. Until she meets Hugh while away training for a place in the kingdom, will Hallie be able to achieve her dreams, or will she give it all up for a mate who is determined not to let her go? I stood there, feeling all pairs of eyes on me, as if I were on display. Their gazes bore into me, waiting for my reaction. I was at a loss for words. What the hell was I meant to say? I barely knew them, and now I had just found out their son was my mate. The mate that I never wanted. All I wanted was to train and become the warrior I had always dreamt of. This was my worst nightmare come true. "Well?" My so-called mate grinned at me with his hands in his pockets, as if he knew that I was struggling. I glared at him, feeling a surge of anger and frustration. He must be so arrogant, I thought to myself. I wanted to reject him there and then, but his parents were watching me excitedly. They were obviously pleased their son had found his mate. I, on the other hand, was not pleased.

Not Your Luna Chapter 1 One

I groaned as the alarm sounded, pulling me harshly from my cosy dream. Reality. "Hallie. You better wake up, or you're be late again." My sister's voice echoed through the door, asking if I was awake. Why did she always have to be so perfect? She was always up on time and always going on about how excited she would be to find her mate. "Go away, Veronica," I yelled as she continued to bang on my bedroom door. I rolled my eyes and headed to the bathroom, turning on the shower to drown out her annoying banging and shouting.

Mornings were never my thing, but I knew that if I wanted to be one of the top female warriors, I had to be punctual. Coach Benjamin had already been on my case about my timekeeping; if I kept being late, he would have no choice but to stop my training. No way was I letting that happen, and I wouldn't let him down. My brother, George, was away at alpha training; he would soon become the near alpha when our father stepped down. He had to train twice as hard as me; we hadn't seen him in a few months, but he was coming back the following week for my birthday, which my parents had insisted on throwing for me. My father hoped I would soon find my mate, but I refused to be anyone's Luna. Even if I found my mate, I wouldn't let him control my life. I was in charge, and I was ready to take on the world. As the daughter of Alpha Phoenix and Luna Harriet at Moonstone Manor, I come from a family of great importance in my community. It's a lot of pressure, but I am proud of my family legacy. Our pack is one of the biggest and strongest ones around. My parents worked so hard to make it what it is here. Even our omegas are treated with respect and kindness. My mother says we are all one big happy family. My hair is one of my favourite features. It's a rich, dark brunette that cascades down my back. It takes a lot of work to keep it looking its best, but I love the way it makes me feel when it's flowing freely behind me. When I'm training to become the best warrior in the kingdom, I tie it back, and I feel like a fierce warrior, ready to take on any challenge that comes my way! Luckily my annoying little sister had disappeared when I finally emerged from my bedroom dressed in black shorts and a black top, along with my black trainers. Yeah, black is my favourite colour, the same as my wolf, Indie. She is beautiful with black fur and a white patch on the left ear. Indie hates how against having a mate I am, but she will get over it. We are the best on the training team, and I want to keep it that way. "You're late," Benjamin shouted as I ran onto the training field. I smiled and started running laps before he could say anything else. Benjamin was my father's Beta and a fair trainer, but he always pushed me to work harder than everyone else. I didn't mind, though. I had been training since I was young, and I knew I could beat anyone. I could handle it. After the intense morning training session, I couldn't wait to wash off the sweat and dirt. I sprinted back inside, eager to jump into the shower and let the hot water wash over me. It was the perfect way to refresh myself and prepare for the rest of the day. "Miss Hallie, I have not dismissed you yet," Benjamin called out, and I couldn't help but roll my eyes as I turned back to face him. As if I wanted to stick around any longer than necessary. But then, something shifted. Benjamin's voice took on a different tone, and I could feel the energy in the room shift. "Listen up, everyone," he called out, and the group gathered around him. My heart pounded as he spoke, and I struggled to focus. It was clear that something big was about to happen, and I couldn't wait to find out what it was. "After discussing with Alpha Phoenix and a neighbouring pack, we've decided to hold tryouts for our best trainers to attend a year of warrior training." I was speechless. A year of training at one of the other packs, where they trained warriors to work closely within the Kingdom? It would be a dream come true. "Hallie, I'm sure you'll give it your best shot," Benjamin said, grinning and slapping me on the back. "Tryouts begin tomorrow. Alpha Peters and his Beta and head of trainers will be here this evening, ready for the tryouts tomorrow morning." Jax shoved me playfully, grinning from ear to ear. "Looks like somebody better be up before dawn," he teased. "Nothing will stop me from being there," I snarled. "You never know; you might just be a little late," Jax joked. "You never know; you might even meet your mate." Kel appeared next to us and snuggled into Jax. They were both my best friends, and had found out they were mates only last month on Kel's eighteenth birthday. I shuddered at the thought of having a mate. The idea of being tied down and following orders from a man made me feel sick to my stomach. All I ever wanted was to be a top warrior girl, and I had been trained all my life for this. The thought of popping out pups and giving up my dreams for some "stupid mate bond" didn't sit right with me. I was determined to pursue my passion for warrior training and become the best I could be. Why would I let anything, especially a mate, stand in the way of my dreams?" My father knew how important it was for me to train with the other males, and he allowed me to do so. I worked hard, and it paid off. Nobody had managed to knock me down yet, and I felt I was on top of the world. "Tomorrow is the big day! The tryouts for the training are finally here, and I'm so excited to show what I'm made of. Kels grinned excitedly, and I couldn't help but feel a rush of adrenaline at the prospect of competing. But Jax had to go and ruin the moment with a joke. "That's if she gets up on time," he chuckled, earning himself a punch in the chest from me. I was determined to make it to the tryouts, no matter what. Nothing would stand in my way of winning a spot on that training list. I was ready to give it my all and show everyone what I could do!

His Luna’s Rejection, Her Alpha’s Mistake: “So, she’s pregnant with your heir is she?” Della raised her eyebrows as it all started to make sense. She had tried for months to fall pregnant but it hadn’t happened and now she knew why. “Yes, he’s going to be a father and I a mother. I guess you will never know how good it feels to have a tiny pup growing in your belly.” Anna gloated smugly at Della. Xavier's heart sank as he heard Anna's words, a jolt of realization running through him. A wave of guilt washed over him as he thought about the consequences of his actions, not just on Luna but potentially on the child she was carrying. He looked back at Luna, who stood there, her eyes filled with a mix of hurt and disbelief. The reality of what he had done hit him like a ton of bricks, and for the first time, he truly saw the depth of pain he had caused. “Then I will go, but let me tell you something, Anna. The moon goddess will punish you and you will be bought to your knees and begging for forgiveness and redemption. You will never be as loved and adored as i by the silver moon pack members. You are merely nothing but a weakened omega using the alpha to gain power. You will never be a true luna and your baby will be a curse, not a blessing." With these words, Luna turned away, leaving Xavier and Anna standing there in shock. Xavier, the alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, finds himself torn between duty and love. His heart belongs to Luna, a kind-hearted and loyal pack member, but his desires lead him astray towards Anna, a manipulative omega seeking power. Luna, heartbroken by Xavier's betrayal, curses him and walks away from the pack. As she settles in the city, Luna discovers that she is pregnant with Xavier's children. Fueled by anger and a desire for revenge against Anna and Xavier, Luna vows to raise her babies on her own terms and make them strong enough to challenge the pack that betrayed her. Meanwhile, Xavier uncovers Anna's lies about her pregnancy and realizes the depth of her deceit. Driven by guilt and a longing to make amends with Luna, Xavier sets out to find her and seek her forgiveness. However, as he delves deeper into the city, Xavier realizes the extent of the damage caused by his choices and wonders if it's too late to repair the broken bond with Luna. In the city, Luna meets a mysterious man who offers her a chance at a new life outside the pack. Drawn to his kindness and understanding, Luna begins to soften her heart and open herself up to the possibility of love once again. But when Xavier finally locates Luna, will their reunion bring closure and healing, or will the wounds of the past be too deep to mend?

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

The heavy iron gates of the Wilderness Correction Camp groaned as they released me after three years of state-sponsored hell. I stood on the dirt road, clutching a plastic bag that held my entire life, waiting for the family that claimed they sent me there for "rehab." My brother, Brady, picked me up in a luxury SUV only to throw me out onto a deserted highway in the middle of a brewing storm. He told me I was a "public relations nightmare" and that the rain might finally wash the "stink" of the camp off me. He drove away, leaving me to limp miles through the mud on a snapped ankle. When I finally dragged myself to our family estate, my mother didn't offer a hug; she gasped in horror because my muddy clothes were ruining her Italian marble. They didn't give me my old room back. Instead, they banished me to a moldy gardener’s shack and hired a "babysitter" to make sure I didn't embarrass them further. My sister, Kaleigh, stood there in white cashmere, pretending to cry while clinging to her fiancé, Ambrose—the man who had once been mine. They all treated me like a volatile junkie, refusing to acknowledge that Kaleigh was the one who planted the drugs in my bag three years ago. They wanted to believe I was broken so they wouldn't have to feel guilty about the "wellness retreat" that was actually a torture chamber. I sat in the dark of that shed, feeling the cooling gel on the cigarette burns that covered my arms, and realized they had made a fatal mistake. They thought they had erased me, but I had returned with a roadmap of scars and a hidden satellite phone. At dinner, I didn't beg for their love. I simply rolled up my sleeves and showed them the price of their silence. As the wine spilled and the lies crumbled, I sent a single text to the only person I trusted: "I'm in. Let them simmer." The hunt was finally on.
