Athena dreams collided when her boyfriend cheated on her. He chooses his best friend, Belinda—the girl who fakes her sickness just to get Mark’s attention. Thus, the latter forgets that he has a girlfriend. Belinda isn’t sick. She just pretending. She doesn’t have cancer. She just wanted to ruin their relationship. One day, Athena caught Mark and Belinda having intimate sex inside Mark’s condo. She was there to surprise her boyfriend—it was his birthday, anyway. But she was the one who was surprised.
Athena was about to grab another glass when Leira stopped her. “Enough! You’re already drunk,” she said.
“Chill… I’m not drunk—well, a little bit tipsy, though,” Athena replied, and grabbed another one and drink it at once.
“What the—Athena… I said enough!” Leira then grabbed her hands and look directly into her eyes. “Look, Athena, drinking isn’t the best way to ease the pain,” she said and put the strands of Athena’s hair at the back of her ears. “I rent a VIP room upstairs. We can’t make it home tonight. Go and take a shower then sleep. We’ll go home first thing tomorrow. I’m just going to talk to Camila. Do you understand?” she asked.
“No! I want to drink more.”
“Athena, please… listen to me. Your Dad will get mad when he finds out about this,” she said, pleading.
Athena raised a brow. “How old I am? I’m twenty-five,” she said as she drinks another glass. “Don’t worry, Dad will not get angry. She trusts me, besides, I’m already a full-grown woman—”
“Oh, C’mon,” Leira mumbled, frustratingly. “My point is, if your dad finds out what Mark did to you, you surely dead—”
“Fine! What room?” she asked, giving up.
“A-02,” Leira replied.
AS SHE enters the room, she unzipped her dress, took off her undergarments, and tossed it away. She then walked straight to the bathroom. She opened the shower and feel the coldness of the water flowing from it.
Her head hurt because of the alcoholic beverages she drank. But her heart hurt even more, as she remembers their break-up scene.
Maybe Mark cheated because she can’t give her purity to the guy. Though there were times that she thinks about giving it. Especially when Mark always blabbers it out every time, they had a date.
But it seems like she did the right decision.
Necking and petting increase the urgency of erotic feelings until sex may become a prominent part of their association together. But these feelings do not necessarily indicate genuine love.
Giving up your virginity is not a basis for giving genuine love. If a guy loves you, he is willing to wait until you are ready.
It’s been five days since their break up. She cried for two days, and the next following day, she hangs out with her friends and drank until she gets drunk. She also requested a one-week Leave from his father. And she’s not going straight to their mansion but rather chooses to stay in her condo.
She cursed under her breath when she can’t see any towel or robe inside the bathroom. “What kind of VIP room is this?” she mumbled.
Left with no choice, Athena walks out of the bathroom, naked. As she steps outside, the white towel above the small wooden table near the bathroom, easily caught her attention. And she was about to wrap it around her body when the door suddenly opened.
“Are you—” she stopped when she saw the physique of the person who just came in.
‘It’s a man.’
Athena gasped because she can’t see his face because the room was dim. Only the light from the lampshade beamed the room.
The stranger started to walk in her direction. He’s tall—it’s all she can tell. Because his position was against the light. The man's shadow covers her, towering over her, making her lift her head to meet his unclear face.
Suddenly, the man’s eyes went down to her exposed body—Damn! she whispered. She forgot to wrap the towel. Consciously, she then wrapped it to cover her nakedness.
The stranger chuckled. “Playing games, huh?” he asked.
