I am a human, however, I fall in love with the Alpha, then the story begins.

Chapter 1 New Alpha

More than once I wondered what my mate would be like. Like every girl, he would be tall, strong,

handsome and responsible or even the Alpha of the whole pack. Humble as I am, also have the

right to imagine a bright future."Hey, Alice! Stop dreaming! How dare you think your mate is

the Alpha?"I said to myself, bringing my mind to reality. Actually, today is the day to announce

our new Alpha.

I stood in the innermost corner of the pack house, trying to hide my scent. In fact, I was not

allowed to attend this meeting by my parents. They said it was to protect me. But I knew the real

reason, since I was the lowest of our pack, an incompetent werewolf, or can't even be called

werewolf-- I HAVEN'T SHIFTED YET, while most she-wolves shifted at the ages of 12 to 15, and I

was already 16. It would bring shame on my family and even the whole pack. My parents didn't

want our new Alpha to see me-- the disgrace of the entire pack. But I didn't listen to them and

ran out of the house.

"It's okay! Just a look from a distance."I tried not to be so nervous. I just wanted to see what

our new Alpha would be like, that's all. And for safety, I hid my scent.

"There he is! There he is!"The crowd became noisy. I knew it was our new Alpha. I hold my

breath and clung to the pillars in the corner, craning my neck to watch carefully. Through

countless crowds, finally I got him -- tall, strong, handsome. Since he was chosen as our Alpha, I

thought he must be a responsible person. Everything about him seemed to fit my fantasy. He

was so charming that I completely missed his speech.

Then I saw my brother, Ivan, he is the Beta! Are they friends? I hardly ever heard my brother

mention him. And he turned out to be our Alpha! There were a lot I didn't know about my family.

I was alone in my room most of the time and always in a state of constant disconnection from

the outside world. My mind came back. Alpha was talking with his father and Ivan.

Suddenly, a strong wind blew open the window. All the lights went out instantly. Everyone in the

house was in a huge panic, including me. Shit!I can't hide my scent now! Because of the fear , I

didn't have enough power to hide my scent. And meanwhile, I smelled a peculiar and extremely

attractive fragrance, like a mixture of wind, sea,Tequila and blood. I knew exactly what it means--

It's him, my mate is here. I pretended to be calm, stumbled to the exit and was about to run

away. All of a sudden, one of the pillars had fallen. For a few seconds, I closed my eyes. But the

pillar didn't hit me as I thought. IT IS OUR ALPHA.

I opened my eyes, he was close at hand. This is the first time I have been so close to him and

looked at him so carefully. I even forgot to breathe. He has dark brown hair and sky blue eyes

which could probably see me through and behind him was the bright moon. I have never felt this

scent as clearly as I am now.The fragrance came again, the mixed scent of wind, sea,Tequila and

blood. Oh MY GOSH. There was a time when my fantasies were not just fantasies, they could be

so real. The man, our Alpha in front of me, is my mate. I couldn't believe that. Alpha must have

smelled mine as well. Everyone has no right to choose his or her mate, everything is destined.

They are all decided by the moon goddess. I had no reason why his face was so pale. Maybe for

what had happened tonight or maybe it was the shock after knowing who his mate was.

"Alvin, Alvin! Where are you! "I could tell it's my brother. Our alpha, the man in front of me, his

name is Alvin."He is looking for you, Alv... Alpha." Careless talk leads to trouble. I, the lowest of

the low, was trying to call his name. Some kind of surprise flickered from his eyes, then he soon

calmed down. He straightened his body up, and went towards Ivan.

Since then, I haven't seen our Alpha for a long time. He seemed to have disappeared. But his

scent was haunting in my mind. I was dying to see him. "Stand up,bitch. Leave my seat."A

nasty voice interrupted my thoughts. I raised my head, it was Sara. Like all the other pack

members, she looked down on me, especially when I was young. She often played pranks on me

with Tess. I didn't want to conflict with her, or that I didn't have any qualifications to argue with

her. I was about to get up, but found that it's impossible to get rid of the chair.

"HAHAHA! See how stupid she is!"Sara sneered, and the crowd burst into laughter. To be honest,

I had been used to this since I was a little girl. Tess, with her clique, always bullied me. But this

time, I got much angrier and sadder since I couldn't stop thinking of him, and his scent in my

head almost drove me mad. I sat on the glued chair feebly and my mind was in a whirl. That

attractive fragrance came again. My destined scent.

He walked towards me from a distance, with his Beta--my brother Ivan by his side. The crowd

went quiet at once. Everyone bowed their heads slightly to show respect,"Alpha."Sara also

looked a little flustered. However, maybe it's because she was bullying me, that's why she didn't

look so scared. As he slowly approached me, my body seemed to be on fire, and so was my face.

If it was just myself, I would feel nothing. But now, my future mate, the Alpha of the entire pack

was standing in front of me, and I felt my face burnt and heartbroken.

"Give your coat to her."Both Sara and I froze, can't believe what we heard just now.

"Sor...Sorry?" Sara's voice was visibly trembling, and I could feel her confusion and fear. Although

she has been bullying me all the time, but now I was a little worried about her cuz what Alpha

said was an absolute command.

"I don't wanna say the same thing a second time." A colder tone this time. Sara was terrified. She

took off her coat immediately and handed it to me. I took her clothes, tied it to my body and got

up embarrassedly. Alpha walked up to me under everyone's attention, bent over and said,

"Came to my office tomorrow afternoon, after your class is over." I nodded gently. I didn't know

if I thought too much, his tone sounded gentle.

After class, I went back home and found that my brother was also at home. He sat in sofa and

looked grave. I was about to ask him about what happened today when he suddenly stood up.

"Oops! You scared me!" Ivan got shocked too. When he saw that is me, he became kind of

relaxed. "What's wrong? You look worried." "Nothing." He always kept silent with me. "But I do

have something to ask you, brother. Our Alpha, maybe Alvin, he...... "Alice," He interrupted me.

"What?" I felt a little angry. "Remember to hide your scent. ALL THE TIME."

"But why !"I broke out completely. "You, dad and mom, all the pack! You always tell me

what to do, what I should do, but never tell me why! I know all of you guys hate me. I haven't

shifted yet. I lose all the pack's face! I know that......"I got too emotional, and what made me

much more desperate was that my dear brother doesn't seem to refute. I stood still and

couldn't think anymore.

I ran into my room, slammed the door, stuffed my head into the pillow and tears washed down

my face. I cried so hard and almost fainted that night. I knew there's something important they

didn't tell me.

I had been a wife for exactly six hours when I woke up to the sound of my husband’s heavy breathing. In the dim moonlight of our bridal suite, I watched Hardin, the man I had adored for years, intertwined with my sister Carissa on the chaise lounge. The betrayal didn't come with an apology. Hardin stood up, unashamed, and sneered at me. "You're awake? Get out, you frumpy mute." Carissa huddled under a throw, her fake tears already welling up as she played the victim. They didn't just want me gone; they wanted me erased to protect their reputations. When I refused to move, my world collapsed. My father didn't offer a shoulder to cry on; he threatened to have me committed to a mental asylum to save his business merger. "You're a disgrace," he bellowed, while the guards stood ready to drag me away. They had spent my life treating me like a stuttering, submissive pawn, and now they were done with me. I felt a blinding pain in my skull, a fracture that should have broken me. But instead of tears, something dormant and lethal flickered to life. The terrified girl who walked down the aisle earlier that day simply ceased to exist. In her place, a clinical system—the Valkyrie Protocol—booted up. My racing heart plummeted to a steady sixty beats per minute. I didn't scream. I stood up, my spine straightening for the first time in twenty years, and looked at Hardin with the detachment of a surgeon looking at a tumor. "Correction," I said, my voice stripped of its stutter. "You're in my light." By dawn, I had drained my father's accounts, vanished into a storm, and found a bleeding Crown Prince in a hidden safehouse. They thought they had broken a mute girl. They didn't realize they had just activated their own destruction.
