Prologue...

"Are you trying to take me to bed with pretty words?" Tanying snorted sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

The few rays of moonlight that crept through the curtains of the room reflected the perfect features of the man, who smiled with a hint of mischief as he looked at the expression of the young woman on the other side of the bed.

"Who said anything about that bed? There are much more exciting places to do it, we won't necessarily need one" he answered shamelessly. His voice was seductive and his black eyes lit up, showing the malice in them.

"You... " Tanying grumbled.

Her body shuddered, trembling with anger, while her little face turned red with shame and rage at the words of that brazen man.

"Maximiliano Cash!" She suddenly exclaimed his full name and then pointed her index finger at him "You unscrupulous man. First, I'd let a fucking clown kick my stupid ass before anything happens between us, I remind you that the only reason I'm here is because I had no choice. I won't be, and I'm not one of your cheap whores you usually fuck! You want sex? Well perfect, go look for it in another, because you won't find it in me, I'm nobody's sex toy."

Maximiliano's features changed drastically, his good temper vanishing completely. "What kind of wife sends her husband to commit infidelity? Are you so desperate to find a reason to incriminate me so you can divorce me? "He let out an unfunny laugh". Honey, it's only been a few hours since we got married, or am I wrong?

"Oh my God! I just got caught, damn it! I should have tried harder to pretend a little better so I wouldn't be too obvious, damn it! "Tanying said dramatically in mockery, making her husband's face turn much darker. However, that didn't seem to bother her at all, as her expression became completely serious, looking directly into her husband's angry eyes without any fear whatsoever.

"I thought my intentions were clear enough for you my dear 'husband', since our parents started this shitty marriage forcing us to be where we are now, or what did you think? That this would be a fucking Disney fairy tale? Oh, wait..." she said, waving her hands in the air, and then added "My dear Mr. Millionaire, I forgot that everything you want to own you have to buy with money, since that's the only way you know how to get something."

Suddenly a burst of laughter escaped Tanying's lips, echoing off the solid walls of the room. Although the heating was on, no trace of warmth could be perceived in the newlyweds, rather the atmosphere felt as cold as a lonely winter night for both souls.

Without even realizing in what moment Maximiliano had reached right where she was, the strong grip of those cold hands on her arm, which caused pain and made her body flinch, surprised her and that was enough for her to raise her gaze to meet those cold eyes that radiated pure fury. If glares could kill, surely Tanying would no longer be alive.

"Just because you are Daddy's spoiled little daughter doesn't mean I will tolerate your insolence towards me, control your tongue or you will be in big trouble, I am not one of those little kids you are used to deal with in your little world of superiority" he said between his teeth, as if with every word he was killing her.

It was inevitable that a girl like Tanying would not feel intimidated when in fact inside she was totally terrified. Who would not be? If every person who lived in that city feared to be in the presence of that man, who unfortunately was her husband, what were the reasons for him to be so feared and at the same time the delirium of many women because of his beautiful face? Well, there used to be speculations and rumors that none of them spoke well about him, but the most intriguing of all is that no one knew if all this was truth or lies.

"Let go of me!" she exclaimed. But the large, thin hand that gripped her wrist did not let go, but held her even tighter.

"We have a bed to share for the rest of our lives, my dear.

The young woman's expression turned into total horror, she still couldn't assimilate the idea that she had gotten married, but that guy already wanted her to sleep in the same bed, as if they really were the couple of the year, when clearly, they were far from it. They couldn't even stand to breathe the same air. How were they supposed to share the same bed?

"I'd rather sleep in a bed filled with hedgehogs than share a bed with you. Not today or any other night will I sleep in the same room where your horrible presence is! You'd better get that ridiculous fantasy out of your head since this is not a real marriage, enough with the farce I have to put on of a happy wife in love in front of the public, and now I have to put up with your silly idea of playing daddy and mommy, this really has to be a nightmare!" she was lucky enough to break free from his grip, and without wasting any time she ran quickly towards the door leading to the corridor. Maximiliano did not dare to say a word, for a moment he was perplexed by the rejection that had just kicked his enormous ego, watching the slim figure of his wife disappear.

"Nightmare?" Maximiliano murmured slowly, showing a sinister smile on his lips". You will end up just like all of the others, who pretended to play hard to get, you will beg for my attention, it's only a matter of time, I'll take care of that.
