Chapter 1 Don't Sign

Chapter 1

She sat on the hospital bench, her eyes darting up and down the white paint.

Her eyes shivered, as she dropped the file she held on the bench.

She was right back to the very place she hated the most.

The smell of Antiseptic and Antibiotics wafted in the air.

She sniffed and rubbed her nose. Oh! How she hated it's smell.

It hadn't been a week ever since she left with her mother and she was back once again, at the same department in the same ward.

She sighed, her eyes going to the file that was on the bench.

She closed her eyes.

Mikhail Mazza was not someone to be talked about in the public.

His name was called out In whispers and behind the walls of the room.

She was not stupid to think twice when he had dropped the condition for what she needed.

She needed money, money for her mother's health.

They surgery her mother had undergone the week before was way too expensive and she had sold a lot of things to pay off the debt.

If she were to continue that way, they'll have nothing left. Only the worn out curtains and dirty floor would be left in their small apartment.

Earlier that week, she had gone to Mikhail Mazza for help.

Although he was known as the Country's most handsome bachelor and conglomerate.

He was also known as the Mafia Kingpin.

She couldn't let her mother die.

The woman had suffered a lot and if she could at least do what he wanted.. she'd make that change.

But she was not ready to give her virginity to a man-whore.

Mikhail Mazza was feared in the whole city.

He was the Country's most dangerous and whoring bachelor.

He was well known for his brutality and people feared him all over.

Men feared his size and women flocked around him.

Mikhail Mazza. His name alone brought fear.

She closed her eyes, thinking about how her life had turned out for the past few years.

There was no way she would get the money.

Even her multiple jobs won't do a dim.

She stood up, picking up the small phone that was on top of the many files.

"Hello." She mumbled, cleaning her nose as she sniffed.

"Are you okay? I called the house and mother didn't pick up." It was Kassandra.

She couldn't even call her best friend to tell her that they were already In the hospital.

It wasn't her fault though. It was already past Nine last night that she had gone home only to see her mother shivering on the ground.

"Sorry for not texting earlier Sandra, Mom was admitted to the hospital last night. It's going to be her second diagnosis."

"Oh my! how is she now Ashley, and don't even try and hide a thing from me?" Sandra asked, her voice full of worry and fear.

Ashley sniffed.

She had tried to be strong for a long time and it was time she cried..even for a little time.

"Mother was admitted and diagnosed of the same acute heart failure...I bet there is nothing they can do to help her." She mumbled.

Sandra sighed.

Silence reigned between both of them before they other spoke.

"You went to meet him."

There was no keeping things from Sandra.

She had been with them for a long time.

Once upon a time, Ashley and her mother had gone to the pick-up station to get a small bicycle for her ice cream business. That was when she had just clocked Seventeen...They had found a girl sitting at the stand, homeless.

Her mother had taken her in and Sandra was made part of the family.

It was not up to the time of college had she taken a job and began making her self useful.

Sandra knew things no one knew.

"I had to. He decided to help us."

"Hmm. What was his condition?" Sandra asked again.

Ashley bit her lips.

Telling Sandra about his condition was more frightening than she could ever imagine.

"He did it out of good will."

"Foolish. You didn't think that I'd buy that bullshit right? Mikhail had treated you like trash back then in high school. We were practically they only people he'd found joy in bullying. What did he ask for?"

Stupid. She hit her head twice and sighed.

There was no denying that her sister might have thought about the condition her self.

"Will you do it? Sleep with him?"

"That's not it Sandra, you're getting it all wrong?"

"Then out with it already."

"He needs a Son." Ashley was quiet for the seconds she had spoken.

It was the exact same thing. He needed a baby. A child!

She had never expected that from him. He was the last person she'd even think about for her whole lifetime but circumstances had brought her into the mess she was in.

She hated to be poor. She hated the things she had gone through because of poverty and staring at the files she held in her hands.

Her heart wished to say yes, but then she knew the mess she was getting her self in to.

There was no marriage of any sort. She was going to be his Baby Momma and give him a Son for the year.

What if she birth a girl? Would he be happy or would still need a son in place of the girl.

She had many thoughts going through her head.

"Don't do it! We'll find a way to get through this. I'll first get some loans from Amy." Sandra mumbled after few minutes.

Ashley nodded.

There was no way she'd live a happy life being his baby momma.

He hated her so much which made her wonder why he'd want a woman he hated that much to birth his child. His heir!

She hung up and stood up from the bench.

Her small hands picking up the files.

Getting many jobs as possible and footing her bills was what she was going to do!

"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
