Ride or die
Adventure *Ride or Die*
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm orange glow over the city, Lena and Jake revved up their Harley-Davidson, ready to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. They had been planning this trip for years, and finally, they were hitting the open road together.
Lena, with her wild curls and infectious laugh, was Jake's partner in every sense. They met in a dingy biker bar five years ago, bonding over their love of motorcycles and the thrill of the unknown. Since then, they've faced life's ups and downs side by side, earning their nickname: "Ride or Die."
Their destination was the Pacific Coast Highway, a scenic route that hugged the California coastline. The wind whipped through their hair as they sped away from the city, leaving behind the chaos of daily life.
The first night, they stopped at a quaint motel in Big Sur, watching the stars twinkle to life above. Jake wrapped his arms around Lena, holding her close as they gazed out at the ocean.
"You're my everything, Len," he whispered.
"Same to you, Jake," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.
The next morning, they continued south, the sun-kissed roads unfolding before them like a promise. They rode through rolling hills, picturesque towns, and rugged coastline, their spirits soaring.
On the third day, disaster struck. A sudden downpour soaked them to the bone, forcing them to take shelter in a dusty roadside diner. Over steaming cups of coffee, Lena pulled out a map, tracing their route with her finger.
"We're not far from Monterey," she said, eyes sparkling. "Let's take a detour."
Jake raised an eyebrow. "What's in Monterey?"
Lena grinned mischievously. "The world's best seafood, and a surprise."
In Monterey, they indulged in fresh seafood and explored Cannery Row. Lena led Jake to a small, weathered shack overlooking the bay.
"Welcome to our new home," she said, producing a set of keys.
Jake's eyes widened. "You bought this place?"
Lena nodded. "Our own little slice of paradise. We can fix it up, make it our base for future adventures."
Tears pricked at the corners of Jake's eyes. "You're the best ride or die a guy could ask for, Lena."
As they hugged, the rain cleared, revealing a breathtaking sunset.
Their journey continued, filled with laughter, excitement, and quiet moments like these. Wherever the road took them, Lena and Jake knew they'd face it together – ride or die.
*Epilogue*
Years passed, and their Monterey shack became a haven for fellow travelers. Lena and Jake's legend grew, inspiring others to embark on their own adventures. When asked about their secret, they'd smile, knowing it was simple:

Mr. Ben Having some of the poems in the first edition of the poem collection, ‘The P.O.T (Poured Out Thoughts)’ published in several poetry magazines as High On Poems, Earthborne Magazine, Deadsnakes and so on, the author has ushered in the second, titled ‘The P.O.T (Poured Out Thoughts) ---The Reloaded.
It is said to be ‘reloaded’ because there are other poems to be added to make this edition slightly richer than the first. With poems as ‘Out of the Box’, ‘Dad Loves Me’, ‘Heralding God’s Magnificence’ being published in notable poetry journals and magazines, the sequel is hoped to make an impact to the entire world, beginning with the readers.
The Table of Contents has the additional poems that readers, who have read the first edition, would realize. They are intended to look into general issues, family, gender, parental, religious (Christian faith), children, love and personal/motivational.
The aim behind this piece is simple. As said in the first edition, it is about entertaining, enlightening, inspiring or motivating and enabling people think for themselves.
Worthy of Note: The author believes that subsequent edition(s) of the work would carry the above-stated aim.
