Chapter 1 A regret day

Hellen stood alone in the grand hall, the weight of her unwanted title as the bride of a cruel prince settling heavily on her shoulders. The opulent decorations, a stark contrast to the reality of her situation, served as a constant reminder of the chains that bound her to a fate she did not choose. Her sisters, their eyes filled with malice and envy, stood on either side of her, a silent Specter of the treachery that had brought Hellen to this bleak moment. With each step she took down the aisle, Hellen felt the pieces of her shattered dreams fall further out of reach.

The false smiles of the courtiers, the whispers that followed in her wake, all of it suffocating her spirit and crushing her hopes for a happiness that now seemed unattainable.

Amidst the perfumed air and shimmering chandeliers, a thread of relief wound its way through Hellen's heart when she received news that shook the very foundation of her existence. Through the deceit woven by her sisters, her marriage to the prince was declared null and void. Instead of despair, a glimmer of hope ignited within Hellen as she realized this could be her chance to forge her own path, free from the shackles of a loveless union that had loomed over her like a curse. The realization that she was in control of her destiny, no longer tethered to the prince or the expectations of the court, fueled her determination to seek out a future filled with true love and happiness.

As Hellen embraced the newfound freedom from her marriage, a shot of adrenaline coursed through her veins when she uncovered a web of dark schemes spun by her sisters, intent on thwarting her chances at a joyous life. Armed with this revelation, Hellen embarked on a mission to expose their treachery and bring about the justice she so rightfully deserved. Yet, the path she tread was not without peril, and Hellen found herself teetering on the edge of danger that lurked in every shadow, the insidious plans of her sisters threatening to snuff out her resolve and cast her once more into a pit of despair.

"You're a creepy bastard." His eyes smolder me and his answering grin is nothing short of beautiful. Deadly. "Yet you hunger for me. Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
