a man she didn't even know, a man who seemed to care little for her feelings or her well-being. The reception was a lavish affair, with guests from all over the kingdom. Amada smiled and laughed, pretending to be happy, but inside, she was dying. She felt like she was trapped in a never-ending nightmare, with no escape in sight. As the night wore on, Amada found herself alone with Prince Ryker. They were standing on the balcony, looking out over the gardens, and Amada felt a sense of desperation wash over her. "I don't want to do this," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to be married to you." Prince Ryker turned to her, his eyes cold and unyielding. "You have no choice," he said. "You are my wife now, and you will do as I say." Amada felt a surge of fear, but she knew she had to stand up for herself. "I will never love you," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. Prince Ryker sneered at her. "I don't need your love," he said. "I need your obedience. And I will get it, one way or another." Amada felt like she had been punched in the gut. She knew she was trapped, trapped in a marriage that would destroy her, body and soul. She turned and ran, back to the safety of the palace, but she knew she would never be safe again.
