Soon, I paused and looked up at my clock, I saw that it had just clocked 10 pm. "Who could be calling at this time of the night?" I spoke up, my voice only sounding in whispers.

Looking at the screen, it was my aunt.

"Oh Gosh!" I exclaimed and picked it up or she wouldn't stop calling.

"Hi, aunt!" I said quietly.

"What took you so long to pick up your phone? I have been calling you Delilah. Is everything okay?" Aunt Sia's voice came through. She sounded so worried.

"Aunt. I have just been busy plus you just called right now." I replied, rolling my eyes.

"yes actually." her voice calming down. "Your family won't stop bothering me. They said you aren't picking up their calls."

"They wouldn't stop talking about marriage either," I replied.

"But don't you ever plan to get married?..." she asked.

I took the phone out of my ear and looked at the screen, suddenly having the urge to end the call as I listened to her.

"Delilah you are twenty-six already. What's stopping him from popping the question? Your family needs you married. Your parents want kids. I want a grand niece and nephew. Don't tell me you are only thinking about yourself." she continued.

"How about we talk about this tomorrow?" I then requested.

"No problem. But please I would love it if you could have a positive answer by then," she said to me and I rolled my eyes.

Positive answer by tomorrow? Were they expecting me to go propose to a man? Lol!

Dropping the call, I could feel the family's pressure weighing me down. I guess it's time I do something about this though. Picking up the phone again, I tried calling Ajay. It rang for some time but he didn't pick up.

I wasn't surprised. He hardly ever sees my call. I then dropped my phone on the table and stood up.

I walked into my sitting room, picked up my car keys from my glass-made center table, and walked out of the house.

On getting downstairs and in my garage, I got into my black Highlander and drove out of my house.
