Anna's POV
The bridge was quieter than I expected.
The beauty of the shining moon, windy night and darkness only made my resolution harder. I have decided, and I am not going to back off from my decision.
It's not like anyone cared about my decision or the way I felt, anyway. Everyone in my life had decided to leave me because of one stupid decision that I had made in the rush of sentiments. One stupid thing that had changed my life.
One damn stupid thing.
Right at the moment, as I walk barefoot on these empty roads, lit only by road lights, I realize how one small action can ruin your life. How, abruptly, your life can change within a blink of an eye. How, who you thought were people you loved and who loved you back, can abandon you in the most difficult time of your life.
The river beneath the bridge caught the city lights and scattered them across the dark water like broken pieces of something that used to be whole.
Which was kinda like me.
I stood there for a few minutes or so. I stood there thinking of how I could be so stupid to make such a mistake that just turned my life upside down.
I just can't do it anymore I can't live with this pain anymore it's too much, with so much regret I decided there was nothing more I could do than to just end it all and absolutely nothing was going to change my decision.
I climbed over the railing, which so much tears filled in my eyes my heart was so heavy. As I closed my eyes ready to end it all , "I'm sorry Mom and Dad. I love you." I whispered and let go of the railing. Letting myself off the sorrow and pain.
I started to fall forward
But
Suddenly, all the air in my lungs left my body when someone grabbed me around from my waist and pulled me back. In a blink of an eye, I was picked up and swung up and over the railing then back on to road.
My grip tightened on the railing as I turned my head. A man right Infront on me he was tall like above 6 feet, handsome like when I mean handsome he had a breathtaking beautiful face and he was looking at me with the steadiest pair of grey eyes I had ever seen.
Even in the dim light of the bridge he was startlingly handsome like the kind of handsome that didn't ask for your attention but commanded it anyway.
