INTO MY STEP BROTHER S EMBRACE

Mandy just lost her mother 3 months ago,and she still cannot believe his father is in such a hurry to get married again after her mother's death.

"Mandy I made dinner arrangements for us next Friday, I want to introduce you to Cecilia and her son Cody." Says David ,Mandy's father while fixing his tie getting ready to go to the office.

"But Daddy isn't it too early to be jumping into another relationship so soon?,its only been three months after mom's burial.

"Honey ,life has to go on at some point. I'm sure your mother wants that for us, I'm only asking you to meet them and just get to know each other, we are going to be family soon" he takes one last sip from his cup of coffee and kisses me on the forehead as he goes for the door.

I'm getting ready to meet my friend Lilly for breakfast at the nearby cafe. As I'm about to leave my phone beeps with a text from Brandon, one of my college friends.

"Hey ,May you need to go to Billy's place right now"

I'm a little confused by the text and I start to ask myself if something happened to my boyfriend as I rush to take my car keys and my bag to go to leave going straight to Billy's place. I get there and knock on the door but no one answers,the door is slightly open so I push the door slowly and step inside. I start hearing funny sounds from his room, I go up the stairs to his room and as I get closer my heart starts beating faster, my palms start to sweat.

His bedroom door is slightly open, as I get close I see him on top of my friend Lilly. My heart just drops and tears start falling my face. I open the door and I stand there in shock not able to say anything. They soon notice my presence

"OH! shit babe I can explain , it's not what it looks like" as he jumps off from the bed and reaches for my hand

"May I'm so sorry, i didnt want you to find our like this" as she covers her naked self with the bed sheets.

"How can you do this to me?" I can't hold back the tears I turn to run out and Billy follows me

"Mandy wait please" he grabs my wrist as I reach the staircase, I fight him trying to free my hand from his grip ,I lose my balance and fall from the stairs ,everything goes dark. The last thing I remember is that jerk shouting my name with horror in his eyes

I woke up with a terrible headache, my eyes are heavy and I can feel there's someone standing next to me .I hear beeps from a machine as I try so hard to open my eyes but a certain pictures comes to mind, my boyfriend on top of my best friend and tears start falling. My heart cannot take the pain I'm feeling.

"Hey honey, it's okay don't cry daddy is here and everything is going to be okay." As he holds my hand

"Daddy....." I try opening my mouth but tbe words are stuck on my throat remembering what happened. Being betrayed by two people whom I thought cared about me.

"Shhhh....it's okay honey, you are going to be okay. Thank God you were not hurt that bad." He tries to hide his teary eyes and doesn't meet my eyes

"Oh good, you are awake. I'm doctor Steven and I don't want you to worry about anything, you have a little swelling and your head is probably going to hurt for a couple of days, but will take care of that." He holds my shoulder giving me reassurance

"Thank you Doc,when can she go home?"

"We will keep her one more day here just to control the swelling, then she is good to go but she needs a lot of rest" as he writes something on my hospital file.

"She's going home today Doc ,we have a family doctor that will take care of her at home if you just make arrangements .

The doctor doesn't even look at him "Yes sir that can be arranged right away" he leaves without saying another word.

Soon I'm in the car going home ,doctor Smith is already there waiting for my arrival. I settle in my bed as the doctor checks me.

"Hey May ,how are you feeling?" Smiling

"Well I have a terrible headache and swollen face ,so life kinda sucks for me right now" returning a small smile of my own

My dad walks in with a tired smile " hey honey, your friends are here can I let them in?

"Yes daddy ,they can come in" I try to sit up straight as doctor Smith helps me with pillows on my back.

"Hey May ,I'm so sorry please forgive me. I'll do anything" Lilly comes kneeling next to my bed followed by Billy
