A slim body figure was lying on a small bed in fetal position. It long hair was dragging on the floor. The hair was so tangled and unkempt. The slim body was putting on a prison's uniform, and it was inside a cell it was.
The figure jacked up from sleep as he heard the sound of the iron door clicking, and a warder trying to unlock the paddock locked with chain on the door. The slim figure was a body shape of a tower young man. He was a man at his thirties.
He sat firmly on the bed, stared cool at the warder opening the door. He was looking so unkempt. He wasn't attractive at all. His cloth had worn and also looked unfitted on him. He was a cute, handsome, and attractive young man, but there wasn't a woman that would see him right now, and found him attractive. He looked bushy like a mad man.
"Your serving time is over. You have been set free" the wander uttered as he walked to where he was.
"These are your belongings, changed into them, and let me escort you out of here" the warder added and put the small bag in his hand down on the bed. He turned backward, decided to give him his privacy by staying outside still he changed.
'SO, I ACTUALLY SPENT FIVE YEARS IN THE PRISON FOR THE CRIME I DIDN'T COMMIT, AHH!' the slim man soliloquized in bitter tone as he looked at the bag dropped by the warder. The name of young man was MADISON.
"Thank God I'm out, BUT THIS WON'T END HERE" he spoke in determination, and sad tone. He got down from the bed, started taking off the dirty prison's uniform on him.
A few minutes later, he had changed into the cloth given to him. He was walking behind the warder and leaving the prison. His face was filled of sadness, pains, and heartbroken. He was walking dully behind the warder.
"Avoid the same mistake that brought you. Turn a new leave when you get out there. And, don't allow anyone to humanity you; it's not a bad thing to be an ex-convict. Being here is just to learn" the warder recited the normal speech that they used to recite for all ex-convict before opening the main gate which leads to the main exit compound.
He opened the gate widely, stepped aside for Madison to pass. Without uttered a word, Madison started leaving. He was looking round the environment, and climbing the steps down gently.
As he climbed the long steps down to the last stage, he stood rooted on it, and looked backward. He looked at the warder locking the gate with keys and waving hand at him.
Without responding, he turned his head backward, faced his front.
His front was leading to a street. People, cars, hawkers, and buses were passing by.
The expression on Madison's face became sadder. He supposed to be happy but unfortunately he wasn't.
"WHERE AM I ENDING TOO? I HAVE NOWHERE TO GO. I HAVE NO HOUSE" he spoke in dull tone.
"And, I would rather end up as a beggar on the street than to return to that house that they see me as nothing than a useless son in-law to be. Where they framed me for the murder crime I didn't commit, made me spent good five years in this place" he uttered in bitter tone.
"Where should I end too?" He asked himself in sad tone. His girlfriend's family was the only people he knew. It was their house he was living. He knew nothing about himself.
As he stood rooted and ruminating on how to plan his life, a young beautiful woman who put on a cleaning uniform came out from a corner at the prison. She was holding garbages on her two hands, going to the tarnished can beside the entrance gate of the prison to tarnish them.
Her eyes popped out from her head as she sighted Madison at where he was. She threw away the garbages on the ground, started running with high speed to where he was.
"MY HUSBAND!!!!" She screamed in nerves tone, and hugged him with so much joy.
An astonishment expression showed on Madison's face. He froze as the strange woman hugged him.
"Oh my God, you're alive. You're alive. I have missed you!" The woman uttered with tears swum down from her eyes as she hugged him tightly one more time.
"Who are you, woman? I don't know you" Madison muttered in low tone as he separated the woman from him.
"You don't know me?" The woman looked at him in the eyes and asked in heartbroken.
"It's me, MING, Your wife. Your wife. Why won't you remember me?" She spoke in bitter tone and the level of tears in her eyes increased.
"I have been praying and hoping for your return for eight years now because I believed you're still ALIVE. I miss you, our son missed you-----"
'Does she just say 'our son'? it's obvious this woman is mistaking me for someone else' Madison soliloquized.
