VERA'S POV

It was my first day at work. I made sure to wake up early so I wouldn’t risk being late. Thankfully, my neighbor Nathan offered me a ride since his office was right behind the company where I’d just landed a job.

A proud smile tugged at my lips when I realized I was the first to arrive.

“At least this will show them how serious I am,” I murmured, hugging my bag tighter. “Let them see I’m not just another hire, I’m dedicated.”

I’d been assigned as the CEO’s secretary. The plump lady who had interviewed me, her name was Mrs. Briggs, told me after I was hired that the CEO of J.T.C only came into the office twice a week. That suited me just fine. Less pressure, I figured.

As I entered my new office and sat behind the polished desk, I started flipping through the stack of documents waiting for me. But then… curiosity got the better of me. My eyes drifted toward the closed door at the end of the hallway, the boss’s office.

Just a peek, I told myself.

I mean, it wasn’t like I didn’t have a right to go in. I was his secretary now. Sooner or later, I’d be in and out of that room like it was second nature.

“Nothing wrong with checking it out,” I whispered. “Might as well see what kind of throne the king sits on.”

I rummaged through the drawer until I found the key card, then made my way to the office. My heart was racing, nerves mixing with excitement. I swiped the card across the padlock and turned the doorknob. The door creaked open, and I stepped inside.

My breath caught.

The office was breathtaking, sleek, modern, dripping with wealth and power. Every piece of furniture screamed authority. But then I saw him.

A man sat on a long, black couch near the corner of the room.

I froze.

He was naked, leaned back, legs spread slightly, hand wrapped around his hard, pulsing erection. My stomach dropped.

“Sorry! I—I didn’t mean to…” I began to stutter, already stepping back toward the door.

But before I could leave, the door slammed shut behind me. I twisted the knob in a panic, tried the key card again… nothing. The lock was jammed. Or maybe... he locked it from a panel I hadn’t seen?

His deep voice cut through my frantic thoughts. “There’s no escape. You’ve got to help me.”

“What?” My voice cracked as I turned toward him, stunned.

He chuckled darkly. “No one will hear you even if you scream. Relax. It’s not a crime. You just walked in on your boss jacking off. All I’m asking is that you help me finish. I promise I won’t punish you for sneaking into my office.”

My body stiffened. My mind screamed for me to run. But my feet? They stayed rooted to the ground.

This wasn’t how I imagined meeting my boss. But I had no one to blame. I was the one who unlocked the damn door.

Now here I was, face to face with a man who looked like sin personified. The erection in his grip pulsed angrily, thick and long. I’d never seen anything like it. Intimidating… and yet somehow, it called to me.

Against all reason, I moved closer.
