Unveiling Stardom: The Forsaken Heiress' Gifts Know No Limit Chapter 1 A Wild Encounter

A long road extended into the distance, the sound of a custom motorcycle moving through the air evident. A woman in a fitted leather jacket leaned forward over the handlebars, her hair tousled by the wind.

Nicole Palmer checked her watch, feeling a bit tense. She had arranged for an audition across the city in the morning and was running late. Luckily, her modified bike was ready for her today, so she hoped she could make it on time.

Cranking the throttle, she welcomed the rush of warm summer air, a brief moment of peace washing over her as the scenery blurred by.

Just then, movement along the shoulder caught her eye-two heavyset men shoved a burlap sack toward a battered gray van.

Tiny legs dangled from the bottom of the sack.

Were these men kidnappers?

Nicole's expression hardened as she slammed the brakes. The tires shrieked, rubber biting into the road.

Without hesitation, she swung the bike around and took off in hot pursuit of the van, determined to intervene.

Her bike might have been past its prime, but she'd poured her soul into every repair. If she hadn't put effort into fixing it, the thing would have fallen apart miles ago.

So, it was hard for her to catch up with the van.

Worse yet, the driver must have spotted her in the side mirror and mashed the accelerator, trying to shake her off.

Each second that passed, the gap between them widened. Nicole's pulse hammered in her ears-she couldn't just stand by while a child was taken.

Spotting a sleek black Bentley idling nearby, Nicole quickly stopped and made a split-second decision.

She would need to borrow the car if she wanted to step in and save the child.

The Bentley's unsuspecting owner had no idea someone was already eyeing his car.

Ayden Hayes leaned against the passenger side of his luxury sedan, his face carved from stone while he issued terse orders into his phone.

"If you can't find him, don't bother coming back at all."

After saying that, he ended the call and turned to get inside his car, ready to leave. At that moment, he saw a woman in a leather jacket walk right toward him.

She whistled and shot him a look full of mischief. "Hey, I need a quick favor. Let me borrow your car, and I promise I'll thank you after I successfully save the day."

Ayden stared at her in disbelief, convinced he must have stepped into some alternate reality. Since when did carjackers get so brazen in Crustin?

His hand tightened around the door handle, but Nicole acted in a flash. She snatched the keys and pushed him into the backseat with a force that belied her size before he could react, leaving him completely stunned.

Swinging into the driver's seat, she muttered excitedly, "Not your day today, you scumbags. I'm coming to get you!"

After a pause, she said to Ayden, "Hang on tight!"

With a hard stomp, Nicole floored the accelerator, and the Bentley shot ahead with a roar.

Ayden clung to the nearest handle instinctively, bracing as the car careened down the road.

He couldn't help but think that this woman drove so recklessly.

Nicole steered the Bentley through the turns with steady control, each movement precise and confident. Ayden glanced at her a few times, his curiosity gradually taking over.

Everything about Nicole was eye-catching-her sharply cut hair brushing her collarbone, her striking face set with determination, and the effortless way she commanded the wheel. She was strikingly beautiful.

But that didn't change the fact that she had just hijacked his car.

"Do you even know who I am-" Ayden tried to talk to her.

But before he could finish speaking, a sharp, jarring stop slammed him forward, and his stomach did a flip.

The car screeched to a halt right in front of a dull gray van, and the sound of metal grinding on asphalt was chilling.

Nicole wasted no time. She leapt from the driver's seat and kicked the van's door so hard that it rattled on its hinges.

"Let the kid go, unless you want real trouble."

She delivered those words with a dangerous glare that didn't fit her striking looks.

Ayden was surprised by that.

This woman was unpredictable.

Inside the van, the group understood they needed to deal with Nicole before their plan could proceed.

With no security cameras nearby, a handful of men in cheap caps spilled out of the van, each one gripping a metal pipe.

Nicole looked them over, looking unfazed.

She lunged before they could make a move. Her fist connected with the leader's nose and sent him stumbling backward with a cry. Then, she followed up with a swift kick that knocked him off his feet.

There was an almost effortless grace to how she fought, every movement controlled and deliberate. It was obvious she had been trained.

For a second, the others were stunned. Then, with a shout, they all charged at Nicole together.

I arrived at the hotel with Julian's favorite takeout, ready to surprise my fiancé before our big merger. But the moment I swiped the keycard, the silence of the hallway felt heavy and wrong. Inside, a red-soled stiletto lay on the marble floor-the same one I'd watched my best friend Lila try on at Saks last week. Through the cracked bedroom door, I watched Julian's back arch as Lila looked me straight in the eye and smiled, wrapping her legs tighter around him to mock my heartbreak. I fled to the penthouse to hide, only to find Grafton, Julian's "crippled" brother, waiting in the dark. To my horror, the man who was supposed to be paralyzed stood up from his wheelchair, gripped my chin with cold fingers, and forced me to sign a contract that gave him control of my family's shares. He knew about my mother's secret medical bills and used them to buy my silence, effectively turning my life into a calculated game of corporate chess. The betrayal tasted like acid, and the injustice of it all burned in my throat. My fiancé was a liar, my best friend was a thief, and the man now controlling my fate was a predator who had been faking his disability for years. I couldn't understand how everyone I trusted had turned out to be a monster. I was trapped between a man who cheated on me and a man who wanted to own me, with no way out and no one to turn to. But when Julian came looking for me, Grafton didn't hide; he stood tall, looming over me with a possessive glint in his eyes. "Help me destroy Julian," I rasped, realizing that to survive the Faulkner men, I had to become the most dangerous player of them all.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
