On her way to her father's funeral, Elaine Foster was nearly killed by a hitman hired by her stepmother. But when she woke up, she had somehow become Audrey Parker, the wife of a powerful business tycoon. "Hahaha! Now I can cling to my CEO husband and crush those scumbags!" she thought gleefully. Before she could even celebrate, her so-called husband coldly tossed a divorce agreement in front of her. "Audrey Parker, sign this. It's your last chance." Divorce? Not a chance! She'd rather lose her life than her marriage. "My love for you is as boundless as the rushing river, as unstoppable as the Yellow River in flood! How could you bear to leave me?" The CEO's lips twitched, and after a long pause, he managed only one word: "Leave." Elaine took a step closer, batting her eyelashes as she playfully poked his chest. "Leave... and roll right into your arms?" "Shameless." She clasped her hands together in mock courtesy. "You flatter me." From that day on, she embarked on a fearless journey-backed by the mighty CEO, no ghost or demon could touch her.

My Reborn Wife Wants Revenge and Power Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Reborn as a CEO's Wife

The heavy smell of disinfectant hit her nose hard.

Elaine Foster blinked slowly, head pounding, and struggled to open her eyes. All she saw was blinding white.

Was this... heaven?

She vaguely remembered heading to work when suddenly, bam-Lydia Hawkins' people hit her with their car. Lydia: her stepmother. After a hit like that, she shouldn't have made it out alive.

Before she could fully process what was going on, a surprised voice rang out. "Mrs. Sinclair, you're awake!"

Mrs. Sinclair?

An older woman in her fifties appeared by her bedside. Elaine was sure she didn't know her, but right then, a flood of foreign memories came crashing into her mind.

Elaine was, indeed, dead. She now inhabited the body of Audrey Sinclair, the daughter of the Parker family and the wife of Marcus Sinclair, CEO of the Orion Axis Group.

Too bad this new wife status meant absolutely nothing.

Marcus only married Audrey to repay a debt-her father had saved his dad's life once. Beyond that? Zilch. Nada. No love. In just two years, Marcus had asked for a divorce so many times the count was lost. And every time, the elder Sinclairs stepped in to delay it.

The reason Audrey had ended up like this? Starvation. Her "tactic" to keep him from leaving-refusing to eat to force his hand. In the end, she still lost. Marcus didn't blink an eye. That's how Elaine got her second shot at life.

The woman beside her now, Mrs. Thompson, had been Audrey's long-time housekeeper. She stood there, worry plain on her face.

Elaine quickly offered a smile. "Don't worry, Mrs. Thompson. I'm feeling much better."

Mrs. Thompson sighed in relief. "That's good to hear, ma'am. I'll let you rest."

Over the next few days, Elaine gradually adapted to her new identity. Not once did Marcus show up, which, honestly, just confirmed how done he really was with Audrey.

Not that it mattered now. Fate had handed Elaine a fresh start-and she wasn't planning on wasting it.

The Orion Axis Group wasn't just big in Ravenfall-it was a whole empire. If she wanted to snatch back the shares of Valtros Group stolen by Lydia and her daughter, she might really need to hold on tight to Marcus's leg.

Before her dad passed, he'd wanted to transfer part of the company shares to her. That was what drove Lydia to try to get rid of her in the first place.

Valtros Group was built by her parents, brick by brick. While her mom held only a small stake, it had always been under Elaine's name. Lydia could get her hands on the rest if she wanted, but she had no right to claim it all for herself.

Since they wanted to go that far, Elaine wouldn't be holding back either.

Exactly a week later, Elaine was cleared to leave the hospital. Mrs. Thompson accompanied her throughout the whole process. Her "husband"? Still MIA.

Their car cruised smoothly into Ravenfall's most exclusive villa district. It stopped outside one of the most jaw-droppingly luxurious mansions she'd ever seen.

Elaine had thought her old place was fancy-but compared to this? Talk about humble pie.

She stepped inside, eyes barely getting a chance to explore before her stomach gave a loud protest. "Mrs. Thompson, I'm starving."

"Right away, ma'am. I'll get something started," she said, motioning the rest of the staff toward the kitchen.

Elaine couldn't help but gape-living with the ultrarich really was another world. This place looked like it was ripped straight out of a palace, and the number of maids? Couldn't even count.

But okay, she was seriously hungry right now. Time to grab a snack.

With eagle-like precision, Elaine zeroed in on the massive fridge. She dashed over, already fantasizing about all kinds of delicious food waiting inside. But the moment she swung the door open?

Instant disappointment. Her heart sank like a stone.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.

I stood at my mother's open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest's voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone-he brought Charla with him. He claimed she'd had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.
