He's here to protect me. I'm here to break every one of his rules. When a faceless threat turns my life into a ticking clock, my father hires the best, an ex-military bodyguard with a stare sharp enough to cut glass and a body built like a sex god. He's gruff, infuriating, and maddeningly off-limits. His rule is simple: No relationships with clients. My problem? I've never met a rule I didn't want to shatter. From the moment our eyes lock, the world tilts. His touch is a warning. His kiss is a crime. And every step closer pulls me deeper into a danger far more dangerous than the one lurking in the shadows. Because the biggest risk I'm facing isn't the one chasing me... It's the one I'm about to take on him.

CRAVING MY BILLIONAIRE BODYGUARD Chapter 1 1. SIENNA'S POV

"Dad, I don't need a bodyguard. I know I have been reckless in some of my actions but I still survived on my own. I don't need a grumpy human monitoring my every move." My voice steady but pleading, in hopes that my father would reconsider his statement.

His face turned stern.

"Sienna, you are the heiress of the family. My only child. You not only defied me but you almost got yourself killed out there. There is no changing what I said. He will be here in the afternoon, get ready." He sipped his coffee from his cup and resumed watching the news.

My father, Romano Moretti. Owner of one the biggest jewelry manufacturers in all of Italy with branches across the country. Yet he was quite a simple man, but dangerously calculative.

He looked at me as I stood there, makinga pleading face.

"No, don't do that, my decision has been made and there is no changing my mind." He said, dropping his cup.

"And stop begging, it doesn't look good on you." He said, patting my head and smiling.

I knew there was nothing I could do now. My father was a loving but principled man who cared for me. After that threat, such measures were not surprising.

He had trained me as a single parent with the help from grandma Maria, ever since my mom died. And I loved them both more than anything.

But this bodyguard stuff was pissing me off.

I stormed off, climbing the stairs to my room, muttering curses, going to freshen up and welcome the "guard dog."

Memories of the text came flooding in as the water flowed on my skin:

"Every heiress thinks she's untouchable... until she's gasping for air in a trunk. Sleep tight. If I were you, I'd keep the lights on tonight. And every night after-if you get one."

I couldn't help but wonder. Who would want to hurt me? What did I do to anyone?

My hands clutched my skin like it was peeling off. Tears flowed through my cheeks mixing with the shower water. I screamed my lungs out in the bathroom until I choked, coughed, gasping for air. I gathered myself slowly.

I was not going to look weak. Not now. I will be strong for me.

For my dad.

For my family.

For the business.

And to prove my father wrong that I don't need a bodyguard.

I have always survived on my own and will continue to do so.

I got out of the bath tub, went into the closet. Searched through my clothes. Looking for something formal.

A black velvet gown slit high enough to silence a room.

I chose the diamond necklaces and earring and I applied a smoky liner that held a challenge no one dared to meet. "The guard dog" doesn't know what he is getting himself into.

We were seated in the living room, awaiting this guy, grandma giving me weird glances.

"Are you sure we are expecting someone except the bodyguard?" Grandma teased my choice of outfit.

"Grandma, this is an official welcome. And what? I have to represent the family well, right?" I answered without looking away from my phone.

I was already fueled with rage that Dad insisted on bringing this guy over.

Oh, I never asked.

"Father, where did you find this man from?" I kept my phone and relaxed on the couch.

"Hmm, why are you suddenly interested? "

"Come on, tell me dad." I spoke calmly.

He gave in, "Well, he is an ex- military. Trained with MI6/CIA before going rogue.

He is now into private security.

He speaks multiple languages, including Italian, Spanish, Russian." Typical bodyguard style. So annoying

Dad contiuned "And has a strong reputation for being ruthless and disciplined. Which suits your carefree and reckless behavior these days.

Especially for that threat you received." He tensed up after mentioning"threat", his jaw clenched and he faced me.

"This is a serious matter. You have to cooperate with him." His voice commanding.

The only words I heard were boring, stuck up and annoying.

This guy isn't even here yet and I hate him already.

Mr. Leo, my Dad's right hand guy, walked in, leaned over my father's shoulder, whispered something and stood upright again.

My dad looked at me and said, "He is here, my cupcake. Behave." I heard the door open and footsteps approaching.

I refused to turn.

His footsteps got close and I heard.

"Good afternoon Mr. Romano, Signora Maria and Miss Sienna. Xavier Vale at your service." His voice, like velvet over gravel. I had to turn to look at the man bearing this voice.

Then I saw him. I gasped. This fallen angel was supposed to be my bodyguard. He wore a tailored suit that hugged his body like sin. His piercing steel-gray eyes fell on my hazel eyes with his close-cropped dark hair dancing freely with each tempting step he took.

Damn, I'm sure it's illegal for a bodyguard to look this hot.

My granny's touch brought me back to reality.

"Sienna, are you ok?" She looked flustered.

Damn it grandma. I gave her a knowing look.

Dad stood and extended a hand "Welcome Xavier and thank you for coming under short notice."His voice steady but authoritative. Xavier nods, while gripping my dad's hand. "Thank you, It's my honor sir. I take my responsibilities seriously."

I rolled my eyes, hoping everyone would notice.

My grandma smiled at Xavier. "Welcome to the family, my child. Have a seat. Well, I will leave the rest to you all. I need to take my medications." The housekeeper assisted grandma and they both left for her room. But my dad was all business.

"Xavier, as you already know, is daughter Sienna. She can be...difficult. I expect you to keep her safe, even from herself."

I managed a smirk. "Don't worry, I bite."

Xavier didn't blink. But ignored me like a predator ignoring a worthless prey.

I stared at him in silence. Awkward silence. Dad just sighed, probably regretting everything. "Let's go over the details in my office. Sienna, leave us."

I knew when my dad was in a business mood and this was one of those times.

I stood up, smothered my dress trying to look unbothered as I walked up the stairs to my room.

I got in, banged the door. My blood was boiling. The heat crawled up my skin.

Who does he think he is? Snubbing me in my own freaking house? No. That guy can not be my bodyguard. Forget his heavenly face and seductive voice. I will make him regret this.

I took off my clothes and threw them on the bed. I inhaled and exhaled to calm myself down. Never has a man gotten me so worked up at first sight. I was literally losing my shit.

I was only putting on my bra and panties trying to fold the dress when I heard a knock but I ignored it.

The knock came again. I ignored it but this time realizing I was half dressed, I tried to rush into the closet to find something to wear.

Then, after the third knock.

The door was forced open with a strong push.

"What the fuck!" I turned to see who the fuck was trying to break my door.

That face. No!

A loud scream escaped my lungs!

The rain in Detroit was slick with grime when my family finally came to fetch me. They didn't want a reunion; they wanted a sacrificial lamb to marry into the Kaufman empire to save their failing business. I thought I was just being sold off, but the limo ride ended under a dark overpass where six hired thugs were waiting with chains. My own sister had ordered them to "break my spirit" so I’d be a shaking, pathetic mess by the time I reached the altar. They called me "Detroit trash" and sprayed air freshener when I sat on their leather seats. My stepmother wanted a video of me begging for my life, and my father was ready to trade me like a used car to a man everyone called a "vegetable." They expected a submissive country girl, unaware that I was a high-level "cleaner" who could snap a radius bone before they could even scream. When I finally reached the Kaufman estate, I found my fiancé, Barron, slumped in a wheelchair, drooling and silent. But as soon as the doors closed, the "invalid" grabbed my wrist with a grip of iron and whispered a command that changed everything. I didn't understand why my own blood was so desperate to see me destroyed. What had I ever done to deserve a hit squad and a forced marriage to a man they thought was a corpse? But Barron isn't a vegetable, and I'm not a victim. We just touched down at the Moon family gala in a matte-black helicopter, and as the doors slide open, the "broken" bride is about to show them exactly what happens when you throw away the wrong daughter. "If we're going to crash a party," Barron whispered, his eyes burning with lethal clarity, "we should make an entrance."

The heavy thud of the release stamp was the only goodbye I got from the warden after five years in federal prison. I stepped out into the blinding sun, expecting the same flash of paparazzi bulbs that had seen me dragged away in handcuffs, but there was only a single black limousine idling on the shoulder of the road. Inside sat my mother and sister, clutching champagne and looking at my frayed coat with pure disgust. They didn't offer a welcome home; instead, they tossed a thick legal document onto the table and told me I was dead to the city. "Gavin and I are getting engaged," my sister Mia sneered, flicking a credit card at me like I was a stray dog. "He doesn't need a convict ex-fiancée hanging around." Even after I saved their lives from an armed kidnapping attempt by ramming the attackers off the road, they rewarded me by leaving me stranded in the dirt. When I finally ran into Gavin, the man who had framed me, he pinned me against a wall and threatened to send me back to a cell if I ever dared to show my face at their wedding. They had stolen my biotech research, ruined my name, and let me rot for half a decade while they lived off my brilliance. They thought they had broken me, leaving me with nothing but an expired chapstick and a few old photos in a plastic bag. What they didn't know was that I had spent those five years becoming "Dr. X," a shadow consultant with five hundred million dollars in crypto and a secret that would bring the city to its knees. I wasn't just a victim anymore; I was a weapon, and I was pregnant with the heir they thought they had erased. I walked into the Melton estate and made an offer to the most powerful man in New York. "I'll save your grandfather's life," I told Horatio Melton, staring him down. "But the price is your last name. I'm taking back what's mine, and I'm starting with the man who thinks he's marrying my sister."

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
