I could hear the faint ringtone of my phone in my dreamland, but I made no attempt to pick up. Oh please, I'm having such an amazing time with this hot Zeus reincarnation in my dream(his body built like that of a god and his face perfectly made, he offered me a drink, smiling and now he's about to kiss me), so the call can wait. But then, it could be my bestie calling...
Without opening my eyes, I reached for my phone, picked up, and placed it on my ear. A very loud voice yelling my name confirmed it was indeed my bestie calling.
The sudden shrillness pierced my eardrums and jolted me awake, JASMINE!!! Raymond yelled over the phone. 'Are you crazy, Raymond?' What the fuck!!!" I snapped at him.
"Careful with the attitude, young lady. Do you know what time it is? Are you not going to school, bitch?!!" he shot back at me.
"Are you my mother, asshole? Fuck off!!" I shot right back at him and hung up.
Truthfully, I'm going to be late for my first lecture..
Sorry for the late introduction. My name is Jasmine Coker, and I'm studying psychology at Oklahoma Christian University trying to understand human behavior but sometimes struggling to grasp my own, I would love to continue with the introduction, but Dr. Newell is very strict.
I got ready, but I couldn't make anything to eat because I was in a hurry, so I just grabbed my backpack and left the house. The fresh air was a soothing balm for my frantic thoughts
Raymond was already outside waiting for me, so I just hopped in the car. He picks me up all the time; I have a car of my own, but I rarely drive because I have my personal chauffeur (Raymond). And yeah, I live alone; my parents live in London, and we don't exactly have a lovey-dovey parent-daughter relationship - it's complicated.
"You good?" Raymond asked me concernedly.
"Yeah, I am, just hungry, I replied.
We got to school and went to our different classes. Raymond is studying Digital Design, which is totally different from what I'm studying.
I was 5 minutes late, but Dr. Newell let me in, which is unusual. I sat down and tried to listen to him talk, but my mind kept drifting to the strange, unsettling feeling that had been building all day, I don't know what's going on, but I feel like something huge is about to happen..
The bell rang, and I left the class for the cafeteria. I got my order and, as I was making my way to a seat, I was tripped. As I was expecting to hit my face on the cold, hard floor, I was saved. I looked up to my savior and saw Raymond smiling cheekily. I shook my head and faced the person who tripped me, and it was no other than Francis, the dickhead who has been trying to get down with me but got rejected flat out and hasn't recovered.
Raymond wanted to hit him, and I just held him back. He's not worth it; he's a dimwit. I sat down, and Raymond asked me what was wrong. I was taken aback.
Don't give me that face, Jay; something is going on with you. What's bothering you?" he asked worriedly.
"Nothing is wrong, Ray Gay" I replied with a laugh. "If something is wrong, then I don't know what it is."
"First of all, I told you never to call me Ray Gay, "And secondly, are you pregnant? "You know I won't judge. Who's responsible? Is he someone I know? Oh my God! Was it a one-night stand? Does he go to our school?"
Raymond bombarded me with questions, I held up my hands, laughing. "Are you kidding?", 'You think I'm pregnant?' "Raymond, stop worrying" I'm not pregnant, and there's no guy anywhere. I don't know what's going on, for real. I just feel like something big is about to happen."
Raymond grinned mischievously. "Well, well, well. Today's Friday. Why don't we go out later tonight and have some fun? Let's clear your pretty head."
