My nerdy love Story Chapter 1 First collation

"You poisoned Reyna's mind!" I yelled.

"She was mine first my everything until you ruined it!"

Eric's smirk was like gasoline on fire.

"I didn't ruin anything," he spat. "You pushed her away."

I clenched my fists. "I love her."

"She hates you," he said coldly. "She's afraid of you."

"Shut up," I growled.

"She doesn't love you. She never did."

"Shut up!" I pointed the loaded gun at his chest.

"Tyler, no-"

BANG.

Everything went black.

REYNA

My alarm clock screamed into the silence, and I shot up, heart racing.

Another dream.

Another nightmare.

I dragged myself out of bed, heart still thudding. The cold floor reminded me I had no time for breakdowns. A shower. Vaseline. My worn Pizza Club shirt. Faded jeans. My sandals.

Lip gloss, facecap, purse.

I wasn't ready to return to school. Not after what happened last semester.

But school wasn't even the problem anymore, I looked at myself in the mirror as I sighed and went down stairs.

Mom was already serving breakfast at our small wooden table when I walked into the kitchen.

"Morning, Mom." I wrapped my arms around her from behind.

She smiled. "Morning, sweetie."

But that smile faded fast.

"Why are you in your work shirt? Don't you have school today?"

I froze. "I... just thought I'd help you today."

Her phone buzzed. She checked it then gasped.

"What's wrong?" I asked, though I already knew.

"It's from your principal. He said if I don't pay the remaining fees from last semester, you can't come back."

I blinked, slowly nodding. "Oh..."

Relief washed over me. Guilt followed right behind it.

"I'm so sorry, Reyna..."

"Hey! It's okay, Mom," I whispered, hugging her tight. "Maybe it's time for a new school anyway."

Mom left first, off to visit a friend before work. I locked the door, grabbed the company's old brown delivery bike, and started pedaling.

Hi. I'm Reyna Davis. Sixteen. Broke. Brilliant. Betrayed.

My dad disappeared the day I was born. I've never met a single relative. Just Mom and me.

And last semester? My first relationship, my first heartbreak. My ex and my best friend... together. They humiliated me in front of everyone. I still see the way they looked at me, like I was nothing.

I got on my bike going to the pizza hut, as i was riding i was so lost in thoughts then..

CRASH!

My body slammed to the pavement.

---

NATASHA

The sun filtered through satin curtains as I opened my eyes to a room dripping in pink and gold. I stretched like royalty in my massive bed, then headed straight to the jacuzzi.

Twenty minutes later, I stood before my vanity, brushing my hair, rubbing lotions and lining my lips with a fierce red.

Gucci shoes. Versace socks. Flawless uniform. Pink Chanel backpack. Confidence? Immaculate.

I was Natasha Benjamin. Sixteen. Rich. Beautiful. Cheer captain. And completely untouchable.

"Mommy, Daddy, look at this." I held up my phone at breakfast.

"A new phone already?" my dad asked.

"No," I said, rolling my eyes. "These sneakers. $5000. I need them for the pep rally."

My dad raised an eyebrow. "That's a bit much."

"Not for us," I smiled sweetly.

He sighed. "Next week."

"Yes!" I squealed, kissed them both goodbye, and strutted to the garage. My GLE AMG was waiting. Life was good.

I was trying to make a video when the driver mashed the brakes. I heard the sound of someone hitting the car, we just had an accident, i screamed storming out of the car.

"Are you kidding me?!, Are you blind?! You almost ruined my car!"

A girl scrambled up from the road, brushing dirt off her face.

"I'm sorry..."

Did she just apologize?

Her clothes screamed 'cheap,' her bike looked like it came from the dump, and she had the nerve to look sorry?

I kicked the bike out of her hands. "Next time, I'll ruin you."

She trembled. "I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

Pathetic.

I flipped my hair, got back into my car, and drove off.

REYNA'S POV

My hands shook as I picked up the dented bicycle.

I hated feeling this way powerless. Small.

Pizza Club was already buzzing when I arrived.

"You're late," Mr. Francis barked before I even signed in.

"I'm sorry, sir..."

"Rain Street, Number 50. Frank Street, Number 8. Hive Street, Number 65. Move."

"Yes, sir."

With help from Gina, I loaded the pizzas and hit the road again.

---

A FEW DELIVERIES LATER

I rang the bell at Hive Street, Number 65.

"What?!" a voice shrieked.

"Pizza delivery."

The door creaked open. A woman with curlers, a green face mask, and a robe that looked like a joke grabbed the boxes and slammed the door without a word.

"Rude," I muttered.

I didn't even want to think about Zeke or Kate.

But I couldn't stop, I was leaving

HONK!

Another expensive car. Another near-death moment.

I swerved and crashed into a bush. He jumped out of his car i thought he was going to scold me like the last girl but instead he showed genuine concern

"Oh my God, are you okay?" he said

I groaned in the bush, pushing my broken bike upright.

"Let me help." he said

I reached out. She grabbed his hand.

when i lifted my head up he stopped staring at me intently, i was immediately flushed and embarrassed

"I... I have to go." I said before he could speak i ran off

"Thank you" I half yelled, scourging off.

He looked so good, He had soft, curly black hair.. That style. Those arms. I was having butterflies for this stranger, I thought to myself.

He's so out of my league though I thought to myself.

He's rich. And I'm just a nerdy, broke, nobody.

I had just survived a private jet crash, my body a map of violet bruises and my lungs still burning from the smoke. I woke up in a sterile hospital room, gasping for my husband's name, only to realize I was completely alone. While I was bleeding in a ditch, my husband, Adam, was on the news smiling at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. When I tracked him down at the hospital's VIP wing, I didn't find a grieving husband. I found him tenderly cradling his ex-girlfriend, Casie, in his arms, his face lit with a protective warmth he had never shown me as he carried her into the maternity ward. The betrayal went deeper than I could have imagined. Adam admitted the affair started on our third anniversary-the night he claimed he was stuck in London for a merger. Back at the manor, his mother had already filled our planned nursery with pink boutique bags for Casie's "little princess." When I demanded a divorce, Adam didn't flinch. He sneered that I was "gutter trash" from a foster home and that I'd be begging on the streets within a week. To trap me, he froze my bank accounts, cancelled my flight, and even called the police to report me for "theft" of company property. I realized then that I wasn't his partner; I was a charity case he had plucked from obscurity to manage his life. To the Hortons, I was just a servant who happened to sleep in the master bedroom, a "resilient" woman meant to endure his abuse in silence while the whole world laughed at the joke that was my marriage. Adam thought stripping me of his money would make me crawl back to him. He was wrong. I walked into his executive suite during his biggest deal of the year and poured a mug of sludge over his original ten-million-dollar contracts. Then, right in front of his board and his mistress, I stripped off every designer thread he had ever paid for until I was standing in nothing but my own silk camisole. "You can keep the clothes, Adam. They're as hollow as you are." I grabbed my passport, turned my back on his billions, and walked out of that glass tower barefoot, bleeding, and finally free.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.
