When a Luna warrior, Selara, is banished from her Moon Pack for defying ancient laws, she is forced to live among humans in a hidden form. There, she encounters Kieran, a compassionate human doctor with a tragic past, and Jules, a fiery human woman who is secretly part of a group that hunts supernatural beings. Both become entangled in Selara's life one falling for her, the other suspecting her. But the world Selara left behind is bleeding into the human realm. The moon is shifting. Her banishment wasn't punishment it was bait. The Alpha King of the Moon Pack, her former betrothed and now bitter enemy, has struck a deal with a human elite to merge both realms... at the cost of blood. Selara must now choose between: • Kieran, who offers her a second chance at love, peace, and healing, • And Jules, whose obsession to uncover Selara's secret leads to a dangerous love-hate relationship. When envy turns Jules into a pawn in the Alpha King's plan, Selara must protect both humans and Lunas even if it means killing the one she once loved or dying by the hands of the one she could've loved. As the battle between moon and man rages, love becomes the deadliest weapon of all.

The Moon between Two Worlds Chapter 1 The Banishment

The moon hung low and angry over Erevelyn Woods, casting a silver glow over the Circle of Elders. Selara knelt in the dirt, her once proud Luna cloak torn and bloodied, her silver hair tangled with leaves and ash. The markings on her skin sacred and ancient pulsed faintly, a reminder of the power she carried but was no longer allowed to wield. The verdict echoed like a death sentence through the night air: "By blood and moon, Selara of the Stormhowl Pack is hereby banished to the realm of men. Stripped of rank. Stripped of bond. Stripped of mate."

She didn't plead. Didn't cry. Didn't even look up at Alpha Kael, the very one who had sworn to protect her. His cold amber eyes met hers with something worse than hate indifference. Once, they had danced under the full moon, whispered promises into the wind. Now, he stood unmoved as she was branded a traitor for refusing to hand over the last surviving human child taken during a raid. Her heart broke not from the exile, but from the silence in Kael's soul as if love had never passed between them.

The crossing into the human world was agonizing. The ritual burned her skin, bent her bones into a new shape. Her wolf fought it, screamed at the stripping of magic, but Selara endured it all for the child she'd saved, for the truth she would one day expose. When she stumbled into the empty road at the edge of the woods, the city lights in the distance blinked like stars she didn't recognize. The forest was silent behind her now. Her pack was gone. Her power, sealed. All she had was the name she whispered to the night: "Selara."

The city smelled strange of metal, smoke, and hurried lives. And yet, there was a peculiar peace in its chaos. Selara found an abandoned building and collapsed inside, her body trembling from the shift, the betrayal, the shame. In her exhaustion, she didn't notice the soft light that crept in through the broken window... or the quiet footsteps that approached her. In the shadows stood a man tall, olive-skinned, eyes the color of dusk. He stepped forward, crouching beside her with careful concern. "Are you hurt?" he asked. She looked up into the eyes of her future and whispered the first human word she could manage. "Help."

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch-a titan of industry and my best friend's father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I went to the City Clerk’s office for a routine copy of my marriage license to finalize a trust fund audit. I expected a simple piece of paper, but the clerk’s pitying look told me my entire life was a lie. "The license was never finalized, Ms. Oliver. In the eyes of the state, you are single." The three-hundred-guest wedding at the Plaza and the Vogue features meant nothing. My husband, Gray Cooley, had intentionally filed the documents with a "procedural defect" so he could discard me without a legal divorce. Moments later, an iCloud invite titled "Our Little Secret" popped up on my screen. It was a photo of my best friend, Brylee, holding a positive pregnancy test at our Hamptons estate. Gray’s text to her was the final blow: "Happy anniversary, babe. This baby is the best gift. Once the trust unlocks today, we’re done with the charade." I soon discovered they were even stealing my career, reassigning my architectural masterpiece to Brylee while preparing my eviction notice. Gray's mother called me a "barren mule" in a leaked recording, mocking the infertility I suffered after saving Gray’s life in a construction accident. I wasn't a wife; I was a three-year placeholder used to secure his inheritance. How could the man I bled for treat me like a disposable prop? How could my best friend carry his child while pretending to comfort me through my darkest moments? The betrayal burned until it turned into a cold, hard stone of fury. I didn't cry. Instead, I walked into the penthouse of the Barretts, the Cooleys' most powerful rivals. I signed a marriage contract with Kane Barrett, the man the tabloids called the "Beast of Wall Street." "I want a wedding," I told his father, my voice steady and lethal. "Bigger than the one I had with Gray." If they wanted me gone, they would have to watch me become the woman who owns their world.
