I am Princess Aurelia, but now, I am Torian Vance-my missing twin brother. I came to Wolfden Academy not for glory, but for revenge. Everyone who approaches me is a potential suspect in his murder. I must play the part of a weakling, an imposter, to uncover the truth from the shadows. But my disguise is being relentlessly torn apart by the two alphas I should fear the most. Ethan, with his golden eyes, promises protection but pushes closer, trying to uncover the secret behind my "weakness." Silas, with his icy words, cuts me down but stands before me when danger strikes. Their scents make me lose myself. Their presence terrifies me. In this cage built of lies and power, everyone has a secret. But mine is the deadliest of all: not just that I am a woman, but that my soul has claimed two masters. And if I'm exposed, I won't just fail my mission-I'll lose everything.

Surviving the Alpha Academy Chapter 1 A Star Falls

"No! Father! I can't do this! You can't treat me this way!" My shrill scream nearly

shattered the silence of the Vance Family council hall.

My father, Linus, the Alpha of our pack, his golden wolf eyes bloodshot, spoke in a

hoarse voice, "Aurelia, this is an order. For the Vance Family, and to ensure your

brother Torian's sacrifice wasn't in vain, you must go."

"Torian didn't sacrifice himself! He's only missing!" I retorted, tears blurring my

vision.

My twin brother, the future Alpha heir of the family, had mysteriously disappeared

on the eve of his departure for Wolfden Academy to fulfill an important alliance, his

fate unknown.

"His broken sword and a blood-stained family crest were found at the edge of the

Mist Forest," my mother, Elena, our noble Luna, choked on her words, "No signs of

life, only vague traces leading toward Wolfden."

Wolfden, the sacred ground of Alphas, now seemed more like a fearsome beast with its jaws wide open.

"And so, you want me, a defective who can't even control her wolf form, to replace

a genius Alpha?" I felt an absurdity in their decision, while the wolf spirit within me

growled restlessly. "What about my scent? Did you forget that my scent is so faint,

it's almost undetectable? Those powerful Alphas will easily see through me!"

Yes, I, Aurelia Vance, the daughter of an Alpha and a Luna, possessed pathetically

weak wolfish strength. My presence was a world apart from Torian's blazing Alpha

aura.

"We will hide your scent," the elder's voice was as cold and hard as stone. "Karen

and Jasper will return from the academy to assist you. From now on, you are

Torian Vance. The future of the Vance Family cannot be jeopardized."

"As for Aurelia Vance," my father's voice was like the blow of a cold hammer, "she

has already passed away from illness."

Rage, fear, helplessness... Is this the law of fate? That the individual can be sacrificed for the family's sake?

"And what if I refuse?" I clenched my teeth, my voice trembling as I asked.

A flash of pain flickered in my father Linus's eyes, but it was quickly replaced by

resolute determination. The Alpha's pressure emanated from him, freezing the air

around us. "Aurelia, do not force me to take action."

I understood-I had no choice.

"Fine." I spat out the word with difficulty, "I agree."

But I swore, in the name of the Lunar Deity, no matter who harmed Torian, I would

hunt them down!

Karen and Jasper quickly returned from Wolfden Academy.

Karen, my cousin, a composed and reliable Beta, looked at me with eyes full of

sympathy.

"Stop stalling, my dear cousin!" Jasper, the one who always thrived on chaos,

threw an arm around my shoulder, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Now, let's

give our new Young Master Torian a complete makeover!"

Cold scissors severed my golden locks, the soft strands falling to the ground like the

remnants of my princess days.

Jasper, with a skill that made me suspect he had experience shearing alpacas, deftly

trimmed my hair into Torian's sharp, short style. He incessantly reminded me,

"Remember, your gaze must be firm, your steps strong, and don't show any

weakness in front of unfamiliar Alphas!"

I listened impassively.

When I donned Torian's training uniform, brimming with his intense Alpha aura, I

nearly felt suffocated.

The scent of prime Alpha-pine and cold steel-stirred restlessness in my wolf spirit.

Karen handed me a bottle filled with a strong herbal-smelling liquid.

"A special Concealment Agent," he explained softly, worry evident in his tone. "It

can temporarily mask your scent, but its effects are limited, and it shouldn't be

used too frequently."

I took the potion and drank it in a single gulp. A fiery sensation immediately burned

in my throat.

A stranger stared back at me from the mirror. A pale face, defiant eyes, and short

hair clumsily cropped to a ridiculous length. Apart from the sapphire eyes identical

to Torian's, there was almost no trace of Aurelia left.

"From now on, you are Torian Vance." My father Linus's voice came from behind me, carrying a barely perceptible tremor.

"Go. Seek the truth, and... return safely."

The carriage awaited silently in the light morning mist.

I-no, "Torian Vance"-under the escort of Karen and Jasper, embarked on an

uncertain journey to Wolfden Academy.

The Pierre Hotel smelled of old money and stale ambition, but all I could taste was the copper of my own rage. I stood in the back of the ballroom, a "mute" shadow in a silk dress, watching my sister Brande play the grieving saint on stage. She wiped away a fake tear, telling the crowd I was too "unstable" to attend my own engagement party. In reality, I was watching her share a secret, intimate squeeze with my fiancé, Chase Sterling, right under the blinding spotlight. When I finally hit "execute" and projected the video of them together in a hotel suite for the entire elite crowd to see, the room went cold. But the nightmare was just beginning. Instead of apologizing, my father crushed his scotch glass and told me to fix the mess. He demanded I issue a public statement claiming I had a mental breakdown and "hallucinated" the whole thing. "If you don't corroborate the Deepfake story, I'll have you committed to a facility with barred windows," he hissed. Brande just smirked from the corner, mocking me for being a "mute waste of space" who didn't even realize my own trust fund had paid for the diamonds around her neck. I realized then that in this family, silence wasn't a disability—it was a target. They thought because I didn't speak, I didn't have a voice. They thought they could use my silence to bury the truth and save their precious stock prices. They were wrong. I didn't just leak a video; I had the keys to every secret they ever tried to hide. I walked out of that hotel and straight into the black sedan of Julian Curtis, my father’s most ruthless rival and the only man who knew what really happened the night of the blizzard in Aspen. I handed him the encrypted files that would trigger a hostile takeover of my family’s empire. As the city blurred past, I looked at the man who held my future in his hands and typed one final message on my phone. "I'm not here to be saved. I'm here to be the knife."

The sterile white of the operating room blurred, then sharpened, as Skye Sterling felt the cold clawing its way up her body. The heart monitor flatlined, a steady, high-pitched whine announcing her end. Her uterus had been removed, a desperate attempt to stop the bleeding, but the blood wouldn't clot. It just kept flowing, warm and sticky, pooling beneath her. Through heavy eyes, she saw a trembling nurse holding a phone on speaker. "Mr. Kensington," the nurse's voice cracked, "your wife... she's critical." A pause, then a sweet, poisonous giggle. Seraphina Miller. "Liam is in the shower," Seraphina's voice purred. "Stop calling, Skye. It's pathetic. Faking a medical emergency on our anniversary? Even for you, that's low." Then, Liam's bored voice: "If she dies, call the funeral home. I have a meeting in the morning." Click. The line went dead. A second later, so did Skye. The darkness that followed was absolute, suffocating, a black ocean crushing her lungs. She screamed into the void, a silent, agonizing wail of regret for loving a man who saw her as a nuisance, for dying without ever truly living. Until she died, she didn't understand. Why was her life so tragically wasted? Why did her husband, the man she loved, abandon her so cruelly? The injustice of it all burned hotter than the fever in her body. Then, the air rushed back in. Skye gasped, her body convulsing violently on the mattress. Her eyes flew open, wide and terrified, staring blindly into the darkness. Her trembling hand reached for her phone. May 12th. Five years ago. She was back.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.
