One Night With the Billionaire** follows the passionate and tumultuous love story of Arianna Jason, a fiercely independent event planner struggling to make ends meet, and Jace Hudson, a ruthless billionaire CEO known for his icy demeanor and no-strings-attached relationships. Their worlds collide at a high-society charity gala where a heated argument ignites an unexpected spark. What begins as one reckless, champagne-fueled night of passion turns into a life-altering mistake when Arianna flees at dawn, determined to forget the arrogant billionaire who unsettled her in ways no man ever has. But fate has other plans. Weeks later, Arianna discovers she's pregnant-and Jace, upon learning the truth, refuses to let his heir be raised without his name. He offers a cold, calculated proposal: marriage in name only, a business arrangement to secure his legacy. Though repulsed by his arrogance, Arianna's mounting financial struggles and family pressures force her to accept-on her terms. Thrust into Jace's luxurious but emotionally barren world, Arianna refuses to be just another possession. Their marriage of convenience becomes a battleground of wills, desire, and simmering resentment. Every argument, every accidental touch, every stolen glance fans the flames of an attraction neither can deny. But as Jace's hardened exterior begins to crack, revealing a man scarred by betrayal, Arianna finds herself drawn to the vulnerability beneath his ruthless facade. Just as their fragile trust begins to solidify, a devastating misunderstanding tears them apart. Arianna, heartbroken, walks away-only for a near-tragedy to force Jace to confront the truth: he can't live without her. In a desperate, all-or-nothing gamble, he lays bare his heart, proving his love is more than just obsession or duty. Their journey-from a single night of passion to a love that defies all odds-culminates in a hard-won happily ever after. Years later, Jace and Arianna stand united, not just as Manhattan's most formidable power couple, but as partners, parents, and each other's greatest redemption.

Chapter 1 The Gala

Arianna Jason adjusted the strap of her borrowed designer gown for the fifth time, her fingers trembling against the delicate silk. The sapphire-blue dress was worth more than her monthly rent, and the thought of spilling champagne on it made her stomach twist.

"You look like you're about to bolt," her best friend and coworker, Lila, whispered, handing her a flute of champagne. "Relax. Just smile, blend in, and don't make eye contact with anyone too important."

Arianna scoffed. "Easy for you to say. You actually belong at these things."

Lila rolled her eyes. "You're here because you're good at your job. Now stop panicking and go schmooze-we need clients."

Right. The only reason Arianna was at the Hudson Foundation's annual charity gala was because her boss had come down with food poisoning. As the junior event planner at Luxe Affairs, she was the last-minute replacement-thrust into a glittering world of billionaires and socialites where she stuck out like a sore thumb.

Taking a deep breath, Arianna wove through the crowd, forcing polite smiles at strangers. The ballroom was a sea of crystal chandeliers, black-tie elegance, and the kind of wealth that made her feel like an imposter.

And then she saw _him_.

Jace Hudson stood near the auction stage, his tall frame commanding attention even in a room full of powerful people. Dressed in a tailored black tuxedo, his dark hair slightly tousled as if he'd run a hand through it in irritation, he exuded an air of controlled arrogance. The media painted him as a ruthless businessman-a self-made billionaire who'd turned his family's failing empire into a global powerhouse. Up close, he was even more intimidating.

Arianna turned away before he could notice her staring, but fate had other plans.

**"You're blocking the exit."**

A deep, irritated voice cut through her thoughts. Arianna blinked, realizing she'd absentmindedly stepped into a hallway alcove-right where Jace Hudson was trying to pass.

She moved aside with an apologetic smile. "Sorry."

His sharp gaze flicked over her, unimpressed. "Are you lost?"

The condescension in his tone made her spine stiffen. "No. Just avoiding the crowd."

One dark brow lifted. "You don't seem like the usual guest at these events."

Arianna's cheeks burned. Was she that obvious? "Is there a 'usual' type?"

"Rich," he said flatly.

Her temper flared. "Ah. So charity is only for the wealthy? Good to know."

A beat of silence. Then, to her surprise, Jace smirked. "You're here with Luxe Affairs, aren't you?"

She hesitated. "How did you-"

"Because no one else would dare talk to me like that."

Before she could respond, a server bumped into her from behind, sending her champagne splashing onto Jace's pristine tuxedo jacket.

Time froze.

The server paled. "Mr. Hudson, I'm so sorry-"

"Get out," Jace said coldly, not even looking at him. His gaze stayed locked on Arianna, who was torn between mortification and defiance.

"That was an accident," she said.

"And yet," he murmured, stepping closer, "you're the one who provoked it."

She should've backed down. Apologized. But something about the way he looked at her-like she was a nuisance, a distraction-made her snap.

"Maybe if you weren't so arrogant, people wouldn't 'provoke' you so much."

A dangerous silence settled between them. Then, to her shock, Jace laughed-a low, rough sound that sent an unexpected shiver down her spine.

"You're either very brave," he said, "or very stupid."

Arianna lifted her chin. "I'd say the same about you."

His eyes darkened with something she couldn't name. Interest? Annoyance? Before she could decipher it, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a private hallway.

"What are you-"

"You want to play with fire?" he murmured, his breath warm against her ear. "Fine. Let's see how long you last."

And then his mouth crashed onto hers.

Arianna's world spun. The kiss was rough, possessive, and utterly intoxicating. She should've pushed him away. But the second her fingers tangled in his hair, she knew-she was already in over her head.

One night. One reckless mistake.

And tomorrow?

She'd pretend it never happened
