Donna's previous life had been a complete mess. Despite her family's objections, she married Andrew, building a life with him from nothing and enduring years of hardship by his side. But when success finally came, he betrayed her-having an affair with her stepsister, Sakura. Worse, the two conspired against her, ultimately having her locked away in a psychiatric hospital. In the end, she was pushed from a building. She and the child she was carrying passed away in agony. Now reborn, Donna was determined to rewrite everything. But fate had other plans. She awoke not in her own body, but in someone else's-Bonnie, a woman whose life was even more entangled in chaos than her own. Bonnie had been used by her fiancé, Randor. He cheated on her with his secretary, then coldly orchestrated her death during a cruelly planned surgery. Donna sighed at the cruel irony. If this was the form her rebirth had taken, then so be it. She would start by helping Bonnie take revenge on that despicable man she once called her fiancé!

Chapter 1 Hatred Never Ends

The stifling heat of summer was enough to make anyone irritable.

Even with the air conditioner humming inside the room, the air felt thick-so oppressive it was hard to breathe.

Donna curled up in the corner of the hospital room, trembling uncontrollably, shrinking away from the pill the doctor was trying to hand her.

"No, I won't take it! I'm not sick!"

"Let me out of here!"

She covered her ears, shaking her head again and again, shouting at the female doctor.

But the doctor had clearly grown used to such episodes. Her voice was gentle and coaxing as she tried to persuade Donna to take the medication.

But it was useless.

Just as the doctor was about to resort to another method, a girl stepped into the room.

She had striking pink hair and wore oversized sunglasses that concealed most of her face.

She took in the scene before her and scoffed, pulling off her glasses and speaking coolly to the doctor.

"All right. You're done here."

"Leave us. I want a word with her."

The doctor bowed respectfully, obeyed without question, and quietly closed the door behind her.

Sakura chuckled, arms folded as she slowly made her way toward Donna.

"What's the matter, my crazy sister? Still not used to life in the psychiatric ward?"

"Someone as insane as you is exactly where you belong. Or would you rather be outside, hurting others again?"

Hearing Sakura's mocking voice, Donna's eyes snapped open. She stared at her stepsister, fury burning in her gaze.

"Why?" she demanded, voice trembling with anguish.

"Why did you do this to me?"

"Where's Andrew? Does he even know you locked me in here?"

At the mention of Andrew, a flicker of light returned to her eyes-a glimmer of hope. Her voice grew urgent.

But Sakura merely laughed, as if she'd just heard the funniest joke.

"Andrew? You mean that idiot husband of yours?"

Sakura leaned in, brushing Donna's hair aside with mock tenderness before curling her lip.

"He's the one who suggested throwing you in here. If you want someone to blame, blame yourself for being too stupid to keep your man."

"Your precious husband is obsessed with me now. Every time he sees me, I swear, he looks like he's wagging his tail like some lovesick puppy."

Her tone turned sharper, each word stabbing deeper.

"You? You're nothing but a loser. A madwoman. Andrew is head over heels for me, and very soon, I'll be stepping into your old role as vice president of the company you two worked so hard to build together."

She giggled, her eyes gleaming with cruel delight, as she watched Donna's face flush with rage, her bloodshot eyes wide, and her chest heaving with fury.

"How does it feel?" Sakura teased.

"To be replaced by me?"

Donna clenched her jaw, then launched forward, hands clawing toward Sakura's smug face. But Sakura dodged easily, her expression turning cold as she delivered a sharp kick that sent Donna sprawling to the floor.

"Why?"

Donna choked out again, lying on the cold tile, her voice barely more than a whisper of broken disbelief.

Donna screamed at the top of her lungs, but Sakura didn't flinch. She was too busy admiring her freshly done nails, casting Donna a glance full of disdain.

"What else could it be?" she sneered.

"Didn't you always look down on my mother for being your father's second wife? Didn't you always mock me for being a country bumpkin?"

"I wanted to see what someone as 'noble' as you had over me. Turns out? Nothing but stupidity."

Sakura let out a chilling laugh. Without warning, she grabbed the bottle of pills from the table and hurled it to the ground with a loud crack.

Then, casually, she snatched a glass and threw it toward Donna. It shattered with a sharp, ringing crash, glass shards scattering across the floor.

Several fragments sliced into Donna's hand, drawing thin lines of blood that quickly stained her trembling fingers.

The sight of it made Sakura cry out dramatically, voice laced with false panic.

"Oh no! Help me!" she screamed.

"Donna's having another episode-she's trying to attack me! She just grabbed a shard of glass and tried to stab me in the neck!"

As she dashed out of the room, she nearly collided with the doctor rushing in. Pointing directly at Donna, who was still sitting in stunned confusion, Sakura shouted:

"Sedate her-now! She's completely insane!"

Before Donna could even process what was happening, she was wrestled onto the hospital bed. Strong hands pinned her down as the cold sting of the needle pierced her skin.

Her vision began to blur, the room spinning around her. And just before the darkness took over, she saw Sakura-smirking like the victor-straightening her back and walking out with the air of someone who had already won.

...

Donna ran barefoot down the road, her feet bloodied and torn, every step a struggle. But her eyes remained firm-unyielding.

When the familiar house came into view, a shaky breath of relief escaped her lips.

Without hesitation, she burst through the front door, pushing past the startled servants who tried to stop her.

The ground floor was empty. Panic rising, she dashed upstairs, shouting with all her might.

"Mom! Dad! I'm back!"

"Sakura and Andrew-they sent me to that mental hospital! The two of them worked together to ruin me!"

Disheveled hair, clothes in disarray, feet swollen and bleeding-Donna's frantic appearance should've drawn concern. But the people seated on the plush living room sofa didn't even flinch.

They looked at her with cold, detached eyes.

Amid Donna's desperation, Sakura giggled, leaning sweetly on Andrew's shoulder.

"What nonsense are you spouting now? You're insane. Putting you in a psychiatric hospital was the right thing to do, wasn't it?"

Andrew glanced at her pitiful state and sighed mockingly.

"She's right. We spent a good amount of money getting you admitted. And now you're here blaming us?"

Donna's gaze trembled as it turned to her father, hoping-praying-for a shred of support.

But he only scoffed, his eyes filled with disdain.
