He was ruthless, untouchable, and uncontrolled until she shattered everything. Tyler Murren had it all; a billion-dollar empire, unmatched power, and a reputation carved in success, but a shattered heart from a long-ago betrayal left him guarded, believing that love was nothing more than a dangerous liability. In a world of high stakes and ruthless business, Tyler sought escape in fleeting pleasures until one fateful night changed everything. Adriana Philips, a woman hardened by poverty and burdened with the desperate need to save her ailing mother, stepped into Tyler's life during a dazzling night in Texas. What began as a chance encounter spiraled into a calculated plan when Adriana faked a pregnancy to secure the financial stability she so desperately needed. Caught between scandal and survival, Tyler offered her a contract marriage; a six-month public façade to protect his empire, after which she would leave with a handsome settlement. At a grand gala, secrets exploded. Lola, Adriana's once-trusted friend turned ambitious conspirator, exposed the deception, igniting a media firestorm. Publicly humiliated, Tyler cast Adriana aside, and she vanished, only to reinvent herself in the anonymity of New York. But fate had more twists: Adriana soon discovered she was truly pregnant. Desperate for closure and driven by a love he never believed he could feel, Tyler chased her to New York ready to beg for forgiveness and a second chance. Yet, as old wounds reopen, Tyler must confront the return of his ex, Sofia Miles, and endure ruthless manipulations by Lola, who, along with Sofia, is determined to claim him for their own. Caught between passion, pain, and the promise of redemption, Tyler's final choice will prove that true love is the only thing worth fighting for even when it comes at the highest cost. Deception brought them together, and betrayal tore them apart, but can love rewrite the past?

Remarrying My Betrayed Billionaire Husband Chapter 1 A Desperate Choice

I walked into a quiet hospital room which was clean and bright with white lights, and stood by my mother's bed looking at her skin which was pale and she looked very tired, while a machine beeped slowly in the corner and I held her hand gently feeling how weak it had become. Then the nurse came in with a kind smile and told me that my mother needed an operation right away and the doctor said the surgery would cost fifty thousand dollars. There, I felt my heart sink because I did not have that money and I whispered "Please help her" even though I felt very small and scared.

After I left the hospital, I walked down the street very slowly, the night was dark and silent, and I felt very alone but my heavy heart kept thinking about my mother and the money I did not have to save her, and I was also very worried about the cost and what would happen if we did not get help soon.

My friend Lola was waiting for me at home when I arrived at my small apartment, so I sat on our worn sofa and told Lola about my mother and the high cost of her surgery.

I said "The doctor says I need fifty thousand dollars, and I have no way to get that much money." My voice was soft, full of fear and sadness.

Lola listened carefully, and then she put her hand on my shoulder "I know this is very hard" she said.

Then she added "I think there is a way you can get the money quickly."

Her words were gentle but I could tell that she meant serious things. So I looked at her with wide eyes and asked "What do you mean? How can I make fifty thousand dollars fast?"

She took a slow drag of her cigarette and then said "Sometimes in life when you are in trouble, you must try something that most people do not like to do...Yeah, it is not the normal way, but it might help."

I felt both hope and fear because I did not like the idea but I also could not think of another way to save my mother, and so, I asked her again in a quiet voice "Are you sure? This sounds risky."

Lola shook her head "It is very risky and not the right thing by most rules, but when you love someone very much, you sometimes have to take a chance."

I closed my eyes and thought of my mother's warm smile from days past. I could not let her go, even if the plan was not good, I just had no other choice.

That night, I could not sleep well that night as I lay in my small bed thinking about the hospital and the words I had heard, while my mind was full of worry as I thought about the heavy cost and the idea that Lola had given me but I knew that by tomorrow I would have to decide fast about what I must do to save my mother.

I woke up the next morning with a heavy heart but also with a small spark of determination. I dressed quickly and went out into the city streets which were busy and bright that morning but I felt dark and lonely inside, and then I made a decision that I would try Lola's way even if it was dangerous.

Lola told me there was a man who could help. He was rich and could give me the money I needed. So I headed to a small bar where Lola said I could meet him. The bar was small and the lights were low, there many people sat quietly and talked in soft voices, while I sat at a table and waited.

I did not know what I would say at first as I looked around the room with nervous eyes, but soon, a man walked in; he wore nice clothes, although I did not know him, but I soon heard another customer mention his name; Mr. Tyler Murren. Lola had told me that Tyler was one of the richest men around, so I took a deep breath and got up and walked slowly toward him, with my steps being soft and my hands trembling a little. When I reached him, I looked up and met his eyes which were calm and serious, and I said in a small, clear voice "I need help." I added only a few words. I said I needed money to save someone I love very much.

Tyler looked at me for a long moment while I waited quietly. Then he said in a simple manner, "I can help you" and his words made me feel a bit of hope although I knew that this was not a gift but a way to get the money quickly, but still, I agreed because I had no choice.

Shortly afterwards that night, I left the bar while I felt like I had stepped into a different world the hope that Tyler's words gave made the city seem peaceful even though my heart was still full of worry.

I went home and sat by the window and looked out at the small lights in the dark and thought about everything that had happened that day. I thought about my mother lying in that hospital bed and the doctor's harsh words about the cost, and I also thought about Lola's idea and my meeting with Tyler Murren, and I knew that nothing in my life would ever be the same again. I closed my eyes and made my decision once more that I had to do this, even if it meant breaking some rules to save my mother no matter how hard it was.

I had not planned to meet Tyler Murren as I did not know him until that day, and I only saw him as a rich man in the bar, but when I heard his name and saw his calm look, I knew he could be the answer I needed.

I had a choice to walk away and let my mother suffer or take a big risk and I chose to take the risk.

That is how it all began.

I sat on the edge of the examination table, the crinkle of the sanitary paper sounding like thunder in the sterile room. The doctor didn't even look at me as he confirmed the news: the pregnancy was over. My husband, Keyon, didn't answer my call. He just sent an automated text: "In a meeting." When I returned to our cold mansion, I found his iPad glowing with a message from his "muse," Katina. He was throwing her a secret gala tonight-on our third wedding anniversary. He told her he couldn't wait to escape the "boring" and "draining" atmosphere I created at home. Keyon didn't stumble in until 3 AM, smelling of Katina's perfume with a smear of red on his collar. When I handed him the divorce papers, he laughed in my face. He called me a "glorified housekeeper" with no skills and no future, promising I'd be back in three days begging for a subway ticket. He even bet his friends ten thousand dollars that I wouldn't survive a week without his name. He had his assistant cancel my credit cards and block my gate access before I even reached the end of the driveway. He wanted me to starve. He wanted me to crawl. He sat in his office, mocking the "desperate" woman who pawned her three-million-dollar wedding ring for scrap metal just to pay for a meal. I stood on the rainy curb, watching the man I had protected for three years treat my life like trash. He didn't know about the ultrasound I just threw in the bin. He didn't know that while he was calling me "dull," I was the one secretly writing the code that kept his billion-dollar empire from collapsing. As I slid into a cheap Uber, I opened a hidden, encrypted app on my phone. The screen refreshed to a dashboard for an account Keyon didn't know existed. The balance was ten figures long-the accumulated wealth of "Solaris," the world's most elusive tech genius. Keyon thinks he just evicted a parasite, but he's about to find out he just declared war on the only person who can hit "delete" on his entire life.

I was sitting in the Presidential Suite of The Pierre, wearing a Vera Wang gown worth more than most people earn in a decade. It was supposed to be the wedding of the century, the final move to merge two of Manhattan's most powerful empires. Then my phone buzzed. It was an Instagram Story from my fiancé, Jameson. He was at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris with a caption that read: "Fuck the chains. Chasing freedom." He hadn't just gotten cold feet; he had abandoned me at the altar to run across the world. My father didn't come in to comfort me. He burst through the door roaring about a lost acquisition deal, telling me the Holland Group would strip our family for parts if the ceremony didn't happen by noon. My stepmother wailed about us becoming the laughingstock of the Upper East Side. The Holland PR director even suggested I fake a "panic attack" to make myself look weak and sympathetic to save their stock price. Then Jameson’s sleazy cousin, Pierce, walked in with a lopsided grin, offering to "step in" and marry me just to get his hands on my assets. I looked at them and realized I wasn't a daughter or a bride to anyone in that room. I was a failed asset, a bouncing check, a girl whose own father told her to go to Paris and "beg" the man who had just publicly humiliated her. The girl who wanted to be loved died in that mirror. I realized that if I was going to be sold to save a merger, I was going to sell myself to the one who actually controlled the money. I marched past my parents and walked straight into the VIP holding room. I looked the most powerful man in the room—Jameson’s cold, ruthless uncle, Fletcher Holland—dead in the eye and threw the iPad on the table. "Jameson is gone," I said, my voice as hard as stone. "Marry me instead."

I woke up in a blindingly white hotel penthouse with a throbbing headache and the taste of betrayal in my mouth. The last thing I remembered was my stepsister, Cathie, handing me a flute of champagne at the charity gala with a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Now, a tall, dangerously handsome man walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his hips. On the nightstand sat a stack of hundred-dollar bills. My stepmother had finally done it—she drugged me and staged a scandal with a hired escort to destroy my reputation and my future. "Aisha! Is it true you spent the night with a gigolo?" The shouts of a dozen reporters echoed through the heavy oak door as camera flashes exploded through the peephole. My phone lit up with messages showing my bank accounts were already frozen. My father was invoking the 'morality clause' in my mother’s trust fund, and my fiancé had already released a statement dumping me to marry my stepsister instead. I was trapped, penniless, and being hunted by the press for a scandal I hadn't even participated in. My own family had sold me out for a payday, and the man standing in front of me was the only witness who could prove I was innocent—or finish me off for good. I didn't have time to cry. According to the fine print of the trust, I had thirty days to prove my "rehabilitation" through a legal marriage or I would lose everything. I tracked the man down to a coffee shop the next morning, watching him take a thick envelope of cash from a wealthy older woman. I sat across from him and slid a napkin with a $50,000 figure written on it. "I need a husband. Legal, paper-signed, and convincing." He looked at the number, then at me, a slow, crooked smile spreading across his face. I thought I was hiring a desperate gigolo to save my inheritance. I had no idea I was actually proposing to Dominic Fields, the reclusive billionaire shark who was currently planning a hostile takeover of my father’s entire empire.

I lay paralyzed on stiff white sheets, a prisoner in my own skin, listening to the rain lash against the window like nails on a coffin. My father, Elmore Franco, didn't even look at my face as he checked his clipboard. He just listened to the steady, monotonous beep of the heart monitor-the only thing proving I was still alive. Without a hint of remorse, he pulled a pen from his pocket and signed the Do Not Resuscitate order. My stepmother, Ophelia, stepped out from behind him, wearing my favorite pearl necklace and smelling of cloying perfume. She leaned close to my ear to whisper the truth that turned my blood to ice. "It was the tea, darling. Just like your mother. A slow, tasteless poison." She chuckled as she revealed that my fiancé, Bryce, had a two-year-old son with my sister, Daniela. My inheritance had been funding their secret life for years, and now that the money was secure, I was an inconvenience they were finally scrubbing away. As my father yanked the power cord from the wall, the beeping died, and the darkness swallowed me whole. I was being murdered by my own flesh and blood, used as a bank account until I was no longer needed. I died in that sterile room, drowning in the realization that every person I ever loved was a monster who had been waiting for me to take my last breath. Then, I gasped. I woke up in a luxury hotel suite surrounded by silk sheets, five years in the past-the very morning of my wedding. Next to me lay Basile Delgado, the "Wolf of Wall Street" and my family's most dangerous enemy. In my first life, I ran from this room in a panic and lost everything. This time, I looked at the man who would eventually destroy my father's empire and decided to join him. "I'm not leaving, Basile. Marry me. Right now. Today."
