Until the night she was attacked. He must choose: break every rule he's ever set for himself, or risk losing her forever. But then again Azaria was furious. How could he keep this from her when he knew she was the butt of jokes in the Pack? She had refused to forgive him. Now will she forgive him and accept his proposal for a quick marriage to find secrets surrounding her birth and about the woman she calls her mother, who is now a terror in the whole of lycanthropy or will she listen to her Best friend who says her brother is no good for her.

Chapter 1 The Brokenhearted girl

Azaria's POV

Oh shit. I should have stayed home tonight.

The first thing I set my eyes on was a girl dry humping a guy on the dance floor. Because obviously this cannot be called dancing. It should have been an eyesore to people around but it wasn't. This was because there were a handful of others grinding unto themselves and some others seated calmly swapping DNA with their tongues.

It's the beginning of a school year and the Sinclair family always throws the most lavish welcome back to school parties. People literally begged to be invited to these parties. The Sinclair family was the family of the present alphas in the Blood moon pack. They were the richest and the most influential. Ashley the school diva was the daughter of the alpha. And I was best friends with Ashley. People often wondered how two of us were friends and even stayed friends for 9 years. These talks often made me sad but I have made peace with myself. I mean staring at Ashley reminded me of everything I wasn't or didn't have. Like her parents were still together, they were wealthy, she was beautiful with her blonde hair and blue eyes and I was just me. I didn't get people fawning over me because of my status and I think because I wasn't as beautiful as Ashley. I was even bullied at some point in school until Ashely threatened the whole school.

I was happy she was even my friend. I was content that way.

I took a deep breath and was about to walk to the kitchen when I spotted my boyfriend Logan. I froze. I could see him smiling from ear to ear with a girl he called just a childhood friend but the way he leaned into her whispering into her ears and giggling like a teenager made me feel like throwing up. Arya was her name. She was the reason we had our last fight and Logan called me insecure. I cried ugly that night. Since when did I ever become the overbearing girlfriend? I only decided to ask him because everyone in school was making fun of me.

I blinked back tears and began heading for the door when Ashley spotted me.

"Azaria! What are you doing there?" Ashley pulled me into her arms and I plastered a smile on my face. "You are late" she scolded mildly. Then she smiled." what do you think?" I looked around the room avoiding the kitchen as Ashley watched for reaction.

"Hmm let me think" I changed my voice and that made my best friend giggle. "It's lewd and fun, I think it would make the school news" I finished and Ashley burst into laughter.

"Come, I want you to meet the group." Ashley clasped her hand over her mouth as she did a little jump. She dragged me like a rag doll as we crossed the room.

"The group? Are they the friends you made at summer camp" I asked.

"Yeah," Ashley smiled as she grabbed two cans of beer off the table. She handed one over to me and had a sip.

"Hi guys this is my best friend Azaria" said Ashley at the top of her voice, with a huge grin plastered on her face. "Hi Azaria" they sang.

"Azaria meets the group: Isla, Dexter, Louisa, Fredrick, Ayla and trashiman but we call her trash" she gestured.

I waved at them smiling "hi guys, Ash, has told me so much about you." I said and we exchanged numbers.

'Trash? What an unfortunate name.

I was yet to finish my beer, when Ashley rose up. "Damn this party is a bore" and just like that everything began to change.

There was a new set of people that began to arrive at the party. Ashley and I peered to know who was making people murmur.

Ashley hissed. "It's my brother" she sat back in her chair. My eyes widened. Nicolas came?

"He is not alone though," I said. Ashley turned and gasped. Nicholas had come with his best friend and other of his friends.

"Oh my god he's here" Ashley squealed, clasping a hand over her mouth. She has always had a huge crush on Marcel, her brother's best friend. "How do I look?" Ashley asked and I nodded.

"Beautiful as always"

Ashely went on to look at herself on her phone camera while my heart raced.

The thing is I have had this long standing crush on Nicholas Sinclair, my best friend's brother. Nicholas Sinclair was that arrogant untouchable heir of the blood moon pack.

Thinking about him made me blush not to talk of him being close to me. I fanned myself with my hands as my eyes scanned the room looking for him until I found him. I flinched as we made eye contact. Oh my gosh.

That was the closest I have been with him for the past 9 years because Nicholas never spared me a glance. No matter how I tried in my own way, Nicholas never spoke to me. It hurt. It made me feel invisible.

I watched as the other girls adjusted their tops to show more cleavage and position themselves for him to see. I rolled my eyes. Girls always throw themselves at him. I could feel the sexual tension rise dramatically in the party as he sat and began to drink. I looked away before he could catch me staring.

I noticed a guy gathering people.

"What are they doing?" I asked.

Ashley shook her head. 'I have no idea, come let's go check" we walked to the group to realize they were about to play a game of truth or dare. And that was my cue to leave but before I could Ashley grabbed my hands.

"Don't even think about it"

"But Ashley I-" she pulled me to sit beside her.

"Truth or dare guys, come around" the guy shouted. My heart raced as the game began. With every question asked, my heart rate tripled and my adrenaline rose to the heights of mountain Everest. It would soon be my turn but when I turned to my left I spotted my boyfriend. Logan was in the game too. There were 2 people before me.

Then it was Logan's turn. His best friend stood up with a mischievous smile.

"Logan I dare you to kiss Arya"

People gasped. They clapped their hands over their mouths as they stared from me to Logan and Arya. My heart raced mad. Would he do it?

It wasn't my turn but it felt like it was my turn. I raised my hand to my face and wiped my forehead of sweat.

Logan stood up and I wanted to go hide under my bed. He walked to Arya and the whole place went quiet.

"Will he do it?" Someone said,

The moment Logan stepped towards Arya and grabbed her face, I shut my eyes and tears fell freely from my eyes. When I opened it again people were screaming and cheering like they were watching a football game.

Logan not only kissed Arya but he marked her even though she didn't have his mark. Even though she was not his mate. This was a guy I dated for 5 years.

"Let's get married," Mia declares, her voice trembling despite her defiant gaze into Stefan's guarded brown eyes. She needs this, even if he seems untouchable. Stefan raises a skeptical brow. "And why would I do that?" His voice was low, like a warning, and it made her shiver even though she tried not to show it. "We both have one thing in common," Mia continues, her gaze unwavering. "Shitty fathers. They want to take what's ours and give it to who they think deserves it." A pointed pause hangs in the air. "The only difference between us is that you're an illegitimate child, and I'm not." Stefan studies her, the heiress in her designer armor, the fire in her eyes that matches the burn of his own rage. "That's your solution? A wedding band as a weapon?" He said ignoring the part where she just referred to him as an illegitimate child. "The only weapon they won't see coming." She steps closer, close enough for him to catch the scent of her perfume, gunpowder and jasmine. "Our fathers stole our birthrights. The sole reason they betrayed us. We join forces, create our own empire that'll bring down theirs." A beat of silence. Then, Stefan's mouth curves into something sharp. "One condition," he murmurs, closing the distance. "No divorces. No surrenders. If we're doing this, it's for life" "Deal" Mia said without missing a beat. Her father wants to destroy her life. She wouldn't give him the pleasure, she would destroy her life as she seems fit. ................ Two shattered heirs. One deadly vow. A marriage built on revenge. Mia Meyers was born to rule her father's empire (so she thought), until he named his bastard son heir instead. Stefan Sterling knows the sting of betrayal too. His father discarded him like trash. Now the rivals' disgraced children have a poisonous proposal: Marry for vengeance. Crush their fathers' legacies. Never speak of divorce. Whoever cracks first loses everything. Can these two rivals, united by their vengeful hearts, pull off a marriage of convenience to reclaim what they believe is rightfully theirs? Or will their fathers' animosity, and their own complicated pasts tear their fragile alliance apart?

Rain hammered against the asphalt as my sedan spun violently into the guardrail on the I-95. Blood trickled down my temple, stinging my eyes, while the rhythmic slap of the windshield wipers mocked my panic. Trembling, I dialed my husband, Clive. His executive assistant answered instead, his voice professional and utterly cold. "Mr. Wilson says to stop the theatrics. He said, and I quote, 'Hang up. Tell her I don’t have time for her emotional blackmail tonight.'" The line went dead while I was still trapped in the wreckage. At the hospital, I watched the news footage of Clive wrapping his jacket around his "fragile" ex-girlfriend, Angelena, shielding her from the storm I was currently bleeding in. When I returned to our penthouse, I found a prenatal ultrasound in his suit pocket, dated the day he claimed to be on a business trip. Instead of an apology, Clive met me with a sneer. He told me I was nothing but an "expensive decoration" his father bought to make him look stable. He froze my bank accounts and cut off my cards, waiting for the hunger to drive me back to his feet. I stared at the man I had loved for four years, realizing he didn't just want a wife; he wanted a prop he could switch off. He thought he could starve me into submission while he played father to another woman's child. But Clive forgot one thing. Before I was his trophy wife, I was Starfall—the legendary voice actress who vanished at the height of her fame. "I'm not jealous, Clive. I'm done." I grabbed my old microphone and walked out. I’m not just leaving him; I’m taking the lead role in the biggest saga in Hollywood—the one Angelena is desperate for. This time, the "decoration" is going to burn his world down.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.
