Daisy
That was quick. How did we arrive so quickly? I noticed other people carrying tickets as they made their way to the trains.
That was incredibly quick. The salesperson must have rushed to avoid wasting anyone's time.
That's a clever idea.
With a "Here you go," the salesperson gave my mother the tickets. After she gave him her money, we left to get to a specific train.
Mom handed me a ticket and said, "Here's yours," which I took from her. As we approached the train, she stepped aside and urged me to board it first. She trailed me after I did.
We made our way down the walkway in search of our seats.
Everybody is sitting in their different chairs. Although the train is not completely packed, there are a lot of people on it.
To find out my seat number, I glanced down at my ticket. It's seat sixteen. Given that they purchased the tickets jointly, Mum's seat might be fifteen or seventeen.
It is adjacent to the window as you approach seat number sixteen. As soon as I sat on it, I became excited. Mum took the seat across from me, facing the windows, just like me.
As I anticipated, her seat number is 17. With a sigh of satisfaction, she sat on it.
She smiled at me. I smiled at her.
"At last, sweetie. We're heading out." She laughed as she sang. I laughed too, somewhat matching her enthusiasm. She is happier than I am, and I don't want her to know that. She fixed her sight on her bag and took out her tiny notebook. She opened it and read something.
"Once we stop at the train station in New York, we will board a cab that will take us directly to your father's mansion." Glancing up from her notes, she said.
"Did you hear that?" She inquired.
I gave a nod.
"Your dad's house." Baby, he owns a mansion. Are you not thrilled? Her eyes brightened as she asked.
I gave a nod. "I am excited."
She laughed. "He's wealthy. We will no longer endure a life of adversity. You'll go to a famous school, and we'll live with your dad. Our lifestyles will be ideal. "Happy," she said.
I grinned and nodded.
My ears were pierced by the train's loud, familiar sound.
Oh, jingles.
As she sang joyfully, "We are leaving," she shifted her shoulders a little. I laughed at her typical childlike display of joy.
I adore her in this state.
Slowly, the train started to move.
"Oh, fasten your seat belt, baby." She pointed to the belt that was fastened to my seat. Glancing down, I grabbed the belt.
I noticed that she was preoccupied with hers. I completed mine in the same manner as she did.
I sat back on the seat and gazed out the windows. We're heading out.
This town will be missed. Home will be missed. I only know this place as home. But now I'm moving to a new house. A house with my father.
Now that I think about it, I feel a little joy. My parents will accompany me. Now I'm excited.
The new school comes next. As we went by, I sighed and fixed my eyes on the window, taking in the trees and other vegetation. The train simply went from moving slowly to moving quickly.
I remember my mother telling me that we would be on the train for many hours. I gave her a look. Her notepad is being read.
"Mum," she said, glancing at me. "Yes, baby?"
"How long are we going to be on the train for?" I inquired.
"Well, maybe three or four hours. "What? Four hours? "However, the train is traveling quickly. Let's take three hours, then. She nodded as she spoke.
I gave a small nod, but I let out a sigh and looked back out the window. The train is traveling quickly.
"Baby," Mom called. I gave her a look.
"I am thinking about starting a business in New York." With a checkmark in her notebook, she said.
"You know, marketing clothing for children. "You know that I adore all things related to children?" she inquired.
I gave a nod.
"So, what do you think?" She inquired.
"It's a great idea, Mum."
"I know, right?" Grinning, she asked.
I also grinned. She is a business enthusiast and a very hard worker. Back in town, her little kids' candy shop was our source of money. In order to sell cookies and candies to children en route to school, she would depart early for her small business.
She likes to do it.
Normally, I assist her at the store, but that is after school. She also permitted me to keep some candy for myself. But because of my teeth, not always.
I do occasionally have toothaches. When I was fifteen, I lost three. She prevented me from eating a lot of candy because she was afraid that as I grew older, I would lose all of my teeth.
Very amusing.
Her current goal is to launch a children's clothing company. That's fantastic. My teeth won't be impacted, at least.
"All I have to do is talk to your father about it after we are settled." I raised my eyebrows at what she said.
"He will help me start it." She smiled at me as she spoke with assurance.
I nodded a little and experienced an immediate uneasy feeling. What if-No, Daisy, no. Don't be pessimistic. Be as upbeat and joyful as your mother is at the moment. You don't want your pessimistic outlook to ruin her day, do you?
I wish I had her qualities. Well, in terms of appearance, I resemble her. She is slightly taller than I am, but I have her blond hair, blue eyes, and normal height. Like her, I have a curvaceous body. But I don't think positively like she does. I'll have to make myself one.
"Are you hungry, baby?" She inquired. I gave a headshake.
"Are you sure?" She inquired.
I gave a nod.
She turned to her notebook and remarked, "I have some cookies in my bag in case you are."
I'm grateful, Mother. Grinning at her, I said to myself.
I gazed at the windows. As the train continued its journey, I gazed at the breathtaking landscape.
New York City is only a few hours away. I'm hoping for a good life. Since I would like to attend Harvard or Princeton, I hope the school will treat me well and that I don't ruin my scholarship.
My career goal is to develop screenplays for motion pictures. I adore reading and seeing plays. I enjoy reading children's books as well as some adult fiction.
My mother forbids me from reading books about adults. I should wait till I'm twenty-five or twenty-one, she said.
Quite amusing, isn't it?
Mom can't decide. It's funny how she went from twenty to twenty-five.
However, I am forced to comply.
In any case, Cinderella is my favourite tale. I adore it!
I want to compose a Cinderella-type story. The plot is fantastic. With their prince charming, every female has a happy ending.
I've considered having a princess charm of my own. My mother will insist that I wait until I am thirty years old before I have my own prince charming if she finds out.
Well, Cinderella was a little child. I'm not bothered, though. I have time.
According to my mother, "You are only seventeen." The world is at your side all the time.
