His Prophesied Luna Chapter 1 1

Kiara was all smiles as she looked into the mirror surrounded by her friends. It was her 19th birthday and the hall downstairs has been turned into a birthday hall fitting for the daughter of an Alpha, but that was not the only reason she was so excited.

"Are you ready to finally find your mate?"

"How excited are you?! Two of her friends, Tanya and Chloe asked excitedly and a deep red coated her face.

Werewolves found their mates when they both turn 19, which is why dating is strictly forbidden in the community and it made everyone overly excited to finally find their mates and Kiara was not immune to all that. She has been looking forward to finding her mate for as long as she can remember and today was finally the day. She tried to keep from guessing who it was, but she has been playing guessing games in her mind all day.

"Alright, time to make our bets before she goes down to the hall." Chloe started and brought out the 50-dollar bill in her bag, "my shot is on Alex, he has been making eyes at her since his 19th birthday."

"My bet is on Christian; they've been friends for a very long time. I'm sure the moon goddess would make them a match."

Kiara rolled her eyes and stood up, showing her red gorgeous ball gown. She took in her face coated in delicate makeup and smiled. "If you guys are done betting on my future, can we go down now and find out who it is?"

"Yes!" they both chimed at once and opened the door for her to lead the way, and Kiara walked away with the both of them trailing behind her.

She expected to be hit with the scent of her mate and be overpowered by an urge to go meet him like she read about, but there was absolutely nothing like that. She didn't feel anything different, she felt oddly normal and it send certain signals up her brain; what if she ends up like the werewolves who never found their mates?

Before she could give in to the thought, her parents appeared before her and pressed kisses against her cheeks. "Happy birthday, Princess, you look absolutely gorgeous and breathtaking." They chorused even though they already wished her at 12 AM, and a bright grin covered her face.

"Thank you, mummy. Thank you, daddy."

"I hope you will enjoy your party and at the end of the day, we hope to see you latched onto someone's arm," her mum, Luna Camilia said, and her dad interjected almost immediately

"And if you are not latched to someone's arm at the end of the night, that is absolutely fine as well sweetheart."

She rolled her eyes jokingly at her dad. She knew he meant well and was just being over protective, but the mere thought of not finding her mate by the end of the night absolutely terrified her.

She knew some people like Jane, who didn't find her mate at nineteen, and she had witnessed the life get drained out of her and she does not want to be one of those people. Absolutely not. She has to lead her pack, and she must have her Alpha Consort for everything to be perfect.

"Go and have fun, sweetie. Your friends are all waiting for you." Kiara snapped out of her thoughts to meet her mum's smile and she bobbed her head almost swiftly. The scary thoughts casted some birthday blues on her, so she dragged her feet away from them into the crowd that was filled with her friends, acquaintances, classmates, schoolmates, and random pack members, who didn't fail to wish her a happy birthday whenever she waltzed past them, and slowly the birthday happy vibes returned.

Every thought of a mate rolled to the back of her mind and she enjoyed every bit of her party. From dancing, to having a few drinks, playing games, singing karaoke horribly, every bit of the activity that went on filled her with joy, but that came to an end when the hall started emptying out and Chloe and Tanya ran up to her, wiggling their brows as they smiled mischievously.

"Soo..." Chloe dragged out

"Found him yet?" Tanya completed, and Kiara's smile faltered, instantly Chloe and Tanya's smile vanished. "Are you okay?"

"I haven't found him," she tried to keep a brave front and a smile on her face, but the tears pooling in her eyes gave away the pain she was feeling, "I am so scared that I will not find him, I don't know if...." The rest of her words were drowned out by a strong smell and her eyes widened.

"Oh my god," she breathed out and before she could fully process it, her legs started moving on its own accord, and her worried friends followed closely behind to make sure she was not about to do something silly.

The closer Kiara got to the backdoor, the stronger the scent got, and she found herself holding onto her gown as she started running. The moment she made it out of the door, the pack's Gamma's only son, and one of the most handsome men of the pack, Kristen, stood there with a knowing smile on his face, while Kiara panted as she tried to catch her breathe.

"Hello mate," he whispered, and released his hands that had been tucked behind his back all these whiles to reveal the bouquet of flowers he got for her and a smile so huge it felt like her cheeks were about to burst open.

"You knew," she breathed out and took calculated short steps towards him, "why did you come so late then?"

"I wanted you to enjoy your day properly,"

Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink and she took the bouquet from him. "Thank you, Kristen."

"Usually, when mates meet each other there is a long moment of embrace, why have..." Kiara didn't let him finish his sentence and dramatically flung herself in his arms.

Chloe who had watched everything was grinning from ear to ear, but Tanya looked pale as a ghost, her eyes firmly pressed on Kristen who had carefully avoided her gaze.

I arrived at my uncle’s mansion looking like human trash, clutching a one-way bus ticket and a duffel bag stuffed with old newspaper. My aunt looked at me with pure disgust, as if she could smell the poverty on my skin, but they needed me for one thing: to be a sacrificial lamb. They told me I was getting married to Julian Sterling, a man the elite circles called a violent monster locked in a cage. My uncle forced me to sign away my soul to save their failing fortune, while my cousin Kayla laughed and threw a torn dress at my feet, calling me a "rat from the Rust Belt." At the Sterling estate, the nightmare only deepened. Julian’s stepmother treated me like a horse she was forced to buy, ordering the staff to "burn off" my hair before locking me in the West Wing. I was thrown into a padded cell with a man who lunged at me, his heavy chains rattling against the floor as he roared with an animalistic rage that had already killed two nurses. They thought I was a pathetic, uneducated girl who "didn't read so good." They didn't know I had extorted two million dollars from my uncle before walking out the door, or that I was secretly recording every slap and insult they threw at me for future leverage. I huddled in the corner of that dark cell, letting them watch me tremble on the security feeds. I let Julian’s sister strike me with a riding crop and splash water in my face, playing the role of the clumsy, sobbing idiot to perfection. But the moment the cameras looped, the scared girl vanished. I pinned the "monster" to the floor, cut the neural tracking chip out of his neck with a hidden scalpel, and whispered into his ear as his blue eyes finally cleared. They thought they were sending a lamb to the slaughter. They had no idea they were sending a wolf to hunt a beast.

I stood at my mother’s open grave in the freezing rain, my heels sinking into the mud. The space beside me was empty. My husband, Hilliard Holloway, had promised to cherish me in bad times, but apparently, burying my mother didn't fit into his busy schedule. While the priest’s voice droned on, a news alert lit up my phone. It was a livestream of the Metropolitan Charity Gala. There was Hilliard, looking impeccable in a custom tuxedo, with his ex-girlfriend Charla English draped over his arm. The headline read: "Holloway & English: A Power Couple Reunited?" When he finally returned to our penthouse at 2 AM, he didn't come alone—he brought Charla with him. He claimed she’d had a "medical emergency" at the gala and couldn't be left alone. I found a Tiffany diamond necklace on our coffee table meant for her birthday, and a smudge of her signature red lipstick on his collar. When I confronted him, he simply told me to stop being "hysterical" and "acting like a child." He had no idea I was seven months pregnant with his child. He thought so little of my grief that he didn't even bother to craft a convincing lie, laughing with his mistress in our home while I sat in the dark with a shattered heart and a secret life growing inside me. "He doesn't deserve us," I whispered to the darkness. I didn't scream or beg. I simply left a folder on his desk containing signed divorce papers and a forged medical report for a terminated pregnancy. I disappeared into the night, letting him believe he had successfully killed his own legacy through his neglect. Five years later, Hilliard walked into "The Vault," the city's most exclusive underground auction, looking for a broker to manage his estate. He didn't recognize me behind my Venetian mask, but he couldn't ignore the neon pink graffiti on his armored Maybach that read "DEADBEAT." He had no clue that the three brilliant triplets currently hacking his security system were the very children he thought had been erased years ago. This time, I wasn't just a wife in the way; I was the one holding all the cards.

I received a pornographic video. "Do you like this?" The man speaking in the video is my husband, Mark, whom I haven't seen for several months. He is naked, his shirt and pants scattered on the ground, thrusting forcefully on a woman whose face I can't see, her plump and round breasts bouncing vigorously. I can clearly hear the slapping sounds in the video, mixed with lustful moans and grunts. "Yes, yes, fuck me hard, baby," the woman screams ecstatically in response. "You naughty girl!" Mark stands up and flips her over, slapping her buttocks as he speaks. "Stick your ass up!" The woman giggles, turns around, sways her buttocks, and kneels on the bed. I feel like someone has poured a bucket of ice water on my head. It's bad enough that my husband is having an affair, but what's worse is that the other woman is my own sister, Bella. ************************************************************************************************************************ "I want to get a divorce, Mark," I repeated myself in case he didn't hear me the first time-even though I knew he'd heard me clearly. He stared at me with a frown before answering coldly, "It's not up to you! I'm very busy, don't waste my time with such boring topics, or try to attract my attention!" The last thing I was going to do was argue or bicker with him. "I will have the lawyer send you the divorce agreement," was all I said, as calmly as I could muster. He didn't even say another word after that and just went through the door he'd been standing in front of, slamming it harshly behind him. My eyes lingered on the knob of the door a bit absentmindedly before I pulled the wedding ring off my finger and placed it on the table. I grabbed my suitcase, which I'd already had my things packed in and headed out of the house.
