In a world where fate is written in the stars, three souls are bound by love, power, and an ancient curse. When Selene Ravenhart, a gifted witch with the ability to manipulate time, is mysteriously recruited by Blackwood Enterprises, she steps into a world of dark secrets and dangerous desires. The enigmatic CEO, Lucian Blackwood, is more than just a ruthless billionaire-he's an alpha werewolf whose fate is entwined with hers in ways neither of them can yet comprehend. But when Adrian Stormcaster, a powerful wizard from Selene's past, reemerges, she finds herself caught in a love triangle that defies time itself. As forbidden magic awakens and a long-lost prophecy threatens to tear them apart, Selene must decide where her heart truly lies. In a battle against destiny, will love conquer fate, or will time itself unravel beneath the weight of their choices?

Chapter 1 The Fated Encounter

Selene Ravenhart stood at the edge of the city, her heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. The towering skyline of Blackwood City shimmered under the golden hues of dusk, its glass-and-steel structures reflecting the setting sun. It was nothing like the quiet, hidden enclave of witches where she had spent most of her life. This city pulsed with energy-human and supernatural alike. And now, she was a part of it.

A sleek black car waited for her at the curb, sent by Blackwood Enterprises, the multi-billion-dollar conglomerate that had mysteriously extended her a job offer. Selene had hesitated before accepting. She had no prior connection to the corporation, nor any experience in the business world. But the letter had been clear-Blackwood Enterprises sought someone with her unique talents.

Magic.

As she slid into the car, her fingers tightened around the smooth leather of her satchel. Inside lay the ancient grimoire she had inherited from her grandmother, a tome filled with spells, incantations, and secrets long forgotten. Something told her she would need it.

The drive through the heart of the city was both mesmerizing and unnerving. Arcane energy shimmered in the air, unseen by regular humans but palpable to someone like Selene. It was rare for a city of this scale to harbor so much magic, yet Blackwood City thrived on it. That much was clear.

The car pulled up to the headquarters of Blackwood Enterprises-a massive, obsidian-glass skyscraper that loomed over the city like a silent sentinel. As Selene stepped out, she felt it. A pulse. A deep, resonant force that called to her magic, awakening something dormant within her.

She swallowed hard and made her way inside.

The lobby was a testament to wealth and power-pristine marble floors, high ceilings, and an air of absolute authority. But it wasn't the grandeur that unsettled her. It was the presence.

A man stood at the far end of the room, watching her.

Lucian Blackwood.

The CEO. The enigma. The Alpha.

Selene had read about him-his rise to power, his ruthless business acumen, his commanding presence. But the articles and interviews had failed to capture the intensity of the man before her. Tall, broad-shouldered, and dressed in a tailored black suit that fit him like a second skin, Lucian radiated authority. His midnight-blue eyes locked onto hers, unreadable yet piercing, as if he could see into her very soul.

"Miss Ravenhart."

His voice was smooth, deep, and laced with something dangerous.

Selene's fingers tingled with the urge to cast a protective spell. Instinct. Survival. Something about Lucian Blackwood was entirely too compelling-and far too dangerous.

"I appreciate you accepting our offer," he continued, striding toward her with a predator's grace. "We have much to discuss."

She met his gaze, refusing to back down. "So do I."

Lucian tilted his head slightly, studying her. His eyes flickered briefly-a flash of something primal, something untamed. A test. A challenge.

"You're not intimidated," he mused. "Most people are."

"I don't intimidate easily," she replied, keeping her voice steady. "Should I be?"

He smirked, a slow, knowing curve of his lips. "That depends."

Before she could respond, the air around them seemed to shift. The atmosphere thickened, crackling with energy. Selene felt it-a ripple of magic, subtle but potent. And then, just as suddenly, it was gone.

Lucian's expression darkened, though he masked it quickly. "Come. We shouldn't keep the night waiting."

She hesitated for only a moment before following him, her heartbeat quickening. Something unspoken passed between them-a silent acknowledgment that whatever lay ahead was far from ordinary.

As they walked toward the elevators, Selene noticed the way people moved out of Lucian's way, offering silent nods of deference. His presence demanded authority. A shiver ran through her. He wasn't just powerful-he was feared.

A sharp growl echoed from one of the corridors, making Selene freeze. A man stormed out, his eyes glowing amber.

"Alpha," the man said, bowing his head. "We have a problem."

Lucian's eyes flashed in response, a clear display of dominance. "Handle it, or I will."

Selene could feel the raw energy radiating from him-Alpha power, thick and unrelenting. It made her magic stir in response. Lucian turned to her, sensing the shift.

"You feel it, don't you?" he murmured.

She swallowed, refusing to look away. "Yes."

He smiled darkly. "Good. Then you're exactly where you need to be."

The air was heavy with unspoken tension, the line between predator and prey blurred. Selene had no doubt-whatever forces had drawn her here were far greater than she had imagined.

And she was already entangled in them.
