Chapter 1 One
Inside a spacious yet cold room, a woman laid sprawled on the huge bed with nothing on her. She was stark naked and looking rather tired as her face was filled with anxiety, even when her eyes were closed.
The door barged open and a man looked as cold as a glacier yet his beauty could not be ignored. He was the perfect description of the gods in human form. He was too beautiful to be real.
With his hazel looking eyes and the perfect curve of his brows which looked full yet curvy. His golden hair was short but bangs were dangling on both sides of his face. His lips, more beautiful and luscious than that of a woman, seem to make him the perfect description of the god of beauty, if there was any.

He marched into their bedroom and met the woman sleeping as usual.
His anger grew the more.
"Kaylan!!." He yelled and she jumped up in fright.
She yawned and she scratched her eyes with the back of her hand.
"What's wrong?." She asked, yawning and a little angry to be woken up from her sweet dream.
"Are you seriously asking me that question? What are your responsibilities as my wife? Can't you think of ways to bear kids? You are just at home sleeping all day." He barked.
"Hunny I am exhausted, we have been on it all night long, I need to rest now." She said, feeling frustrated.
"You want to rest when you are not pregnant? That's not going to happen." He scoffed.
"Don't make it seem like I'm the one at fault here. It's all thanks to your rare blood type, you're partially imponent, and I can't force another man's seed into my womb." She retorted, rolling her eyes.
" You wouldn't dare!" He roared, making Kaylan jump in fright.
"Get ready, we're heading to the hospital ten minutes from now, you should better be fast." He yelled after her.
Kaylan heard him and she knew he meant every word he'd said. She hurriedly ran to the guest room so she could freshen up.
Xavier went into the bathroom to freshen up also, it was going to be a long day.

At the other end of the hospital, Xavier's icy gaze was looking around with his devilishly handsome face barely hiding the coldness. He arrived at the hospital together with Kaylan who was dressed seductively.
Xavier glanced around the reception room and diverted towards the doctor's office. He was hoping to receive some good news today from the doctor.
Just as he was about to get to the doctor's office, a girl suddenly appeared from nowhere and bumped into him.
Xavier's cold gaze bored into the unlucky victim. But the next moment, he frowned. She's the one that bumped into him but she ended up falling on the floor. From the look of things, she must be a nurse from this hospital because she wore their dress.
"Ouch!" She cried softly.
Not minding if she was hurt or not, Xavier just spat out,"How petite."
"I'm so sorry, please I'm sorry." She apologized, profusely.
Her voice made him look at her again. He couldn't help but stare at her beautiful face, she looked so gorgeous and innocent.
"I'm sorry." She pleaded again.
To avoid more trouble, the girl hurriedly stood up and ran away before he could say anything, not even sparing him a glance.
Xavier looked stupefied by this. No woman had ever left without sparing him a glance. Was she blind not to notice his handsomeness?
But then she looked like a scared little rabbit and his eyes followed her till she disappeared.
"Uhh, are you okay?." Kaylan asked, trying to touch him, she'd noticed everything that happened.
"Do not touch me!." He glared at her and he angrily left.
Kaylan sighed, wondering what she did wrong, she wasn't the one that bumped into him in the first place.
"How disrespectful." She grits and she goes after him.
Xavier walked into Doctor Mark's office together with Kaylan. Doctor Mark immediately stood up from his seat and he went to greet Xavier.
"President Xavier," Doctor Mark greeted but all he got in return was a cold grunt.
Rather, Xavier just went and sat on the empty chair.
"Have you found anyone for surrogacy? I'm here for good news," He said, not minding the doctor's flattering smile.
"Yes, I did." Doctor Mark said and he went back to his seat. He brought out a file, containing pictures of different ladies.
"These are the only people who agreed to be your baby carrier," Doctor Mark said, handing the file to Xavier.
Xavier stared at the pictures. He released a frustrated sigh, not satisfied with their looks.
He pressed on his temples, trying to control his emotions that were threatening to burst out. He was becoming more frustrated as he looked at the pictures. He turned to look at the doctor with a piercing gaze.
"Are these the only ladies that volunteered to be my baby's carrier huh? These bunch of no good women can never carry any child of mine in their damn womb!" He yelled startling both Kaylan and the doctor.
"We shouldn't care about their looks, as long as they can give you a child," Kaylan suggested. She was glad the girls were not beautiful, at least, Xavier won't be interested in any of them.
As she finished talking, Xavier turned to look at her with a glare that shut her up immediately.
"Do not test my patience Doctor Mark, else I'll pull out my shares from your hospital, you know what that means." Xavier threatened and he stood up and he walked out angrily.
Xavier was getting frustrated at the prospect of an heir. He was the sole survivor of the Leon family and they needed someone to take over from him.
He needed a son.
Xavier was fuming in anger but as he made to leave, his eyes caught the lady who bumped into him earlier.
He stared at her, her body features matched the type of woman he wants to be his baby carrier.
"Sir please, I'll look for other ladies to your taste." Doctor Mark pleaded the minute he got to Xavier.
"I want that lady," Xavier said, pointing at the lady who bumped into him.
"Sir?." Doctor Mark asked, he didn't quite understand what Xavier meant.
"I want her to be my child's carrier." He said and Doctor Mark widened his eyes.
"Huh? she isn't up for surrogacy, she's just a nurse working here." Doctor Mark tried to explain.
"I don't care whatsoever, I want her and that's final," Xavier said.
Kaylan just stood close to them listening to their conversation. She was burning in fury and jealousy deep down. But, she didn't want to say anything that would make Xavier angry.
"Sir..."
"Bring her to me now!" He said, emphasizing each word.
