Her style is effortless chic, often dressed in flowing sundresses or sleek jeans and blouses that accentuate her slender yet curvy figure. A sprinkle of freckles across her cheeks adds a playful touch to her radiant complexion.

Chapter 1 The Lady Next Door

As I sat on my porch, sipping lemonade and watching the sunset, I couldn't help but notice the girl next door. She was a vision of loveliness, with long, curly brown hair and sparkling hazel eyes that seemed to dance with kindness. Her name was Emily, and she had moved in next door with her family a few months ago. At first, I had barely noticed her, but as the days turned into weeks, I found myself looking forward to catching glimpses of her as she went about her day. Emily was the kind of girl who made you feel like everything was going to be okay.

She had a warm smile and a gentle way with people that put even the grumpiest of souls at ease. As I watched her tend to her garden, her green thumb evident in the vibrant blooms that spilled from her flowerbeds, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. As the summer drew to a close, Emily and I began to talk more and more. We'd chat about everything from our favorite books to our childhood memories. I was struck by her intelligence and her compassion, and before I knew it, I had fallen deeply in love with the girl next door. As the seasons passed, our love continued to grow. We'd take long walks through the neighborhood, hand in hand, and talk about our dreams and aspirations. Emily was my rock, my confidante, my best friend. One day, as we sat on my porch, watching the sunset, I turned to Emily and asked her to be my wife. Tears of joy streaming down her face, she said yes. And as we hugged, the world around us melted away, leaving only the two of us, lost in our own little bubble of happiness. Years have passed since that day, but my love for Emily has only grown stronger. She's still the girl next door, but now she's so much more – she's my partner, my friend, my soulmate. And as I look into her eyes, I know that I'll love her forever.

My marriage to Mathias was supposed to make me the happiest woman in the world. Although I knew he didn't love me, I thought he would fall for me once I showered him with all the love I had to give. Five years passed and Mathias still didn't give a damn about me. Instead, he met his true love and cut all ties with me because of her. He showed her off; something he never did for me. His abandonment pushed me into depression. I was broken in every sense of the word. Even on my deathbed, my so-called husband didn't come to say goodbye to me. When I opened my eyes again, I found myself reborn. I was still Mathias's wife and it was two months before he met his true love. In this life, I refused to be hurt by him again. After talking some sense into my head, I asked him for a divorce in other to escape being heartbroken like I was previously. Mathias tore up the divorce papers time and time again while also shutting me down. "Rylie, stop all this nonsense! Playing hard to get doesn't work anymore!" To show him that I was dead serious, I went ahead to file for divorce. Only then did he panic. He abandoned the "woman of his dreams" and came to my side. "Please give me a second chance, Rylie. I promise to do right by you. You'll be the only woman in my heart from now on. Don't leave me, okay?" A war broke out in my mind after this apology. On one hand, I didn't want to be hurt again. And on the other, I didn't want to let go of the man I loved so dearly. What should I do?!
