Chapter 1 Arranged

I walked in on my parents having a serious argument. I got curious and rushed down the stairs and that caught their attention . Seeing me, they stood upright and kept quiet like they weren't arguing moment ago and that seems suspicious to me.

"Mom, dad, what's wrong??

"Nothing" my mom answered quickly making it all more suspicious

"That doesn't seem like nothing to me"

"It's nothing serious , we're gonna take care of it" dad answered this time.

"Take care of what??I inquired getting more worked up

"Nothing you have to worry your pretty head about" my dad spoke again, but I couldn't get rid of the worry that has began to sip in

"Mom??

She signed before answering "Fine, the board members are planning to vote your father out as the chairman of the board because the company has been having some setbacks lately and they concluded that he is incapable of leading the board of directors" she finished in one breath

"How could they??Dad built the company from scratch , from nothing with his blood and sweat , how could they do that to him" I was devastated.

Dad just sighed and collapsed unto the nearest sofa .

"That good for nothing Ross incited them to gang up against me, you know he's always wanted to be chairman and has been eyeing my company"

"Is there nothing we can do?? If you are voted out , you would have lesser power on the company you built with nothing"

"I know that already and I am out of ideas, they won't even support me nor my ideas" Then he looked up at me which got me uneasy

"There's only one solution"

"What's it"

I noticed a sad look on my mom's face but I brushed it off

'You will have to get married"

"Get married ?? I asked obviously alarmed and about to raise hell on him- I mean I wasn't ready to get married -when he walked towards me with a forlorn look and the words died down in my throat.

"The only solution is that I merge my company with knights corporation" yeah, knights is a business partner but wait, was I getting married to a wrinkled old man , I haven't seen him tho but he's sure is old

"Not to him but you're getting married to his son to get the companies merged" he spoke up to clear the confusion on noticing the bewildered look on my face – don't blame me, I won't get married to an old man who's near to his grave. Well, who knows, he could be hot- gosh, I can't believe I am such thoughts.

"If you want to" my dad continued which got me to look at him. I know he wants to save his company but not on the expense of his own daughter, he was torn between saving his company and protecting his only child and I felt pity for him.

"Dad"

"yes, I know you don't want to get married now but I will make sure to fix this mess, I must find a way" he butted in not waiting for me to finish.

"What if I want to"

"Want to??Mom queried already on her feet

"You know , get married"

"No, you can't"

"But.....

"yes, I want to keep my company but I can't do that to you" he pressed cutting me off, again

"jenny, you can't , I won't allow it "mom spoke up this time

"I am doing this for the both of you and for the company you worked so hard to build , I won't let someone else take it. If getting married is what it takes to keep the company , so be it"

"Dear, you haven't thought about it yet"

"There's nothing to think about, my mind is made up already, the company is yours and should remain yours" I won't let someone else to take the company away from my family even if it means getting married to an unknown man, I don't mind and that Ross need to be taught a lesson.

"I don't wanna force you to do this, you have your own life ahead of you"

"Dad, you're not forcing me to do anything , it's my duty as a daughter of this family to protect our heritage and this is my life also". I noticed my mom on the brink of breaking down and I felt my heart break .

"Mom, don't cry, I will be fine"

"You can always change your mind, you know that right?? That was my dad

"I know but I won't, so stop sulking. I need to head out now

Bye"

"wait, where are you going"

"To the café.

Too Late: The Spare Daughter Escapes Him

I died on a Tuesday. It wasn't a quick death. It was slow, cold, and meticulously planned by the man who called himself my father. I was twenty years old. He needed my kidney to save my sister. The spare part for the golden child. I remember the blinding lights of the operating theater, the sterile smell of betrayal, and the phantom pain of a surgeon's scalpel carving into my flesh while my screams echoed unheard. I remember looking through the observation glass and seeing him-my father, Giovanni Vitiello, the Don of the Chicago Outfit-watching me die with the same detached expression he used when signing a death warrant. He chose her. He always chose her. And then, I woke up. Not in heaven. Not in hell. But in my own bed, a year before my scheduled execution. My body was whole, unscarred. The timeline had reset, a glitch in the cruel matrix of my existence, giving me a second chance I never asked for. This time, when my father handed me a one-way ticket to London-an exile disguised as a severance package-I didn't cry. I didn't beg. My heart, once a bleeding wound, was now a block of ice. He didn't know he was talking to a ghost. He didn't know I had already lived through his ultimate betrayal. He also didn't know that six months ago, during the city's brutal territory wars, I was the one who saved his most valuable asset. In a secret safe house, I stitched up the wounds of a blinded soldier, a man whose life hung by a thread. He never saw my face. He only knew my voice, the scent of vanilla, and the steady touch of my hands. He called me Sette. Seven. For the seven stitches I put in his shoulder. That man was Dante Moretti. The Ruthless Capo. The man my sister, Isabella, is now set to marry. She stole my story. She claimed my actions, my voice, my scent. And Dante, the man who could spot a lie from a mile away, believed the beautiful deception because he wanted it to be true. He wanted the golden girl to be his savior, not the invisible sister who was only ever good for her spare parts. So I took the ticket. In my past life, I fought them, and they silenced me on an operating table. This time, I will let them have their perfect, gilded lie. I will go to London. I will disappear. I will let Seraphina Vitiello die on that plane. But I will not be a victim. This time, I will not be the lamb led to slaughter. This time, from the shadows of my exile, I will be the one holding the match. And I will wait, with the patience of the dead, to watch their entire world burn. Because a ghost has nothing to lose, and a queen of ashes has an empire to gain.

I Slapped My Fiancé-Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé. Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now-billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn't mind. I'd crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one? Wrong. One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That's when it hit me-he didn't love me. He didn't even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn't even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup. So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster-my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise. Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol. Enter him. Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I'd met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes. It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised. But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life. And, as it turned out, the best decision I'd ever made. Because my one-night stand isn't just some random guy. He's richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with. And now, he's not letting me go.
