Chapter 1 I.

He kisses so passionately, as though he's known her for his entire life. She squirms in pleasure under him, unable to take his sweet kisses. There was always something so mesmerizing about his hands. The way he plays with her hair...I could kiss him much better.

It's the middle of a break, and here, I find myself mesmerized by the way my adopted brother kisses his girlfriend in an empty room. I know it's wrong. Wrong on many, many levels. But I just can't help it.

I'm just his lovely little fuckbuddy at home, right? The school bell rings, making my breath hitch as a gasp almost spills out of me. I almost gave out my location! I quickly leave the hallway and run downstairs, meeting my other classmates.

You might wonder who I am. What must I be doing at the construction site on our campus, on the top floor, all by myself?

Well, my name is Amy Frostbite, the only adopted daughter of Mr. George Philip Frostbite.

I have three elder brothers, all aged around 21. We all attend the same prestigious institute of Jordan High, one of the premier institutes of the Jordan Foundation. I have a best friend, Crystal Jordan.

And yes, she's the niece of Henry Jordan, the proprietor of the Jordan Foundation, as mentioned.

I am 19 years old and Crystal turned 20 recently. I was kind of stressed about her birthday and the whole ordeal since I am the only one who knows her true identity. Hence, I came up here to vape. I can't help it. I am not addicted to it, but it gives me a sense of relief and I'd be able to concentrate on classes later.

But it was a big mistake. I should've never come upstairs, for I wouldn't have to witness the scene unfold in front of me. Putting my glasses on, and checking if my braces are on the spot, I gather myself up and walk downstairs as if nothing happened.

Three classes pass by, and the day ends. I am a commerce student, a straight-A student. My brothers are Alex, Nick and Dane. The one that I caught in the act upstairs? That one's named Dane Frostbite. We are normal high-school goers in the middle of the day, but at night, we attend every big party around the city for the sake of our father.

George Philip is an unmarried, unhappy man. We are bound by a contract with this man till the end of time. He forces us to call him our father, while he does nothing but provide food, shelter and a whole lot of money for us. If there is one thing that all of us adopted siblings agree upon, then it is to bring a change in our old man's lifestyle. He's had a tragic past with his wife, but I'll leave that for the next storytime.

"Ms. Frostbite- I mean, Amy Cooper, the car's on standby. Would you like us to take you somewhere?" I almost popped my eyes out of my skull! "New guy?" I asked my old driver. The new guy is a butler, a sweet young man whose uncle was our most efficient detective. Unfortunately, that man had sacrificed himself for the safety of our family two years ago. As the most ethical way of letting his family know that we still remember him, we employed the 'new guy', Joseph Bailey.

"Amy Cooper. Let's go for some shopping! You have a trip coming up, isn't it?" My friend Crystal Jordan (Crystal Klein, fake surname) pops from behind me and asks sarcastically. I look around, trying to find any eavesdropping passersby but find none.

"Yeah, let's get changed and hit the road. I'll tell you where to go!" I whisper to the new guy as he grins with a big smile. You might now wonder why we have fake surnames. Well, unlike my brothers, who have opened up about their identities to the world, I am still sceptical about how the world would react if they knew George Philip Frostbite had a girl child.

The same explanation goes to Crystal. Crystal Jordan is the only related child to Henry Jordan, complicates her life, turning it into hell. You see, in the rich community, we girls have to have each other's backs at all times. Being girls, smaller and defenceless, we are easy targets for our parents' enemies who seek redemption from our parents. It's a scary world out there for everyone, but this is our story. As the car door closes, Crystal and I quickly drop our act and begin to be ourselves.

The thick native American accent that I use at school turns sophisticated as soon as the doors close and I'm in a much safer confinement. The same goes with Crystal.

"God, that was horrible. Did you see what they were planning for Christmas Eve this year!? Our batch sucks!" Crystal quickly yells out as the car starts to swerve into the road. We exit the busy campus road, and I nod my head.

"Couldn't agree more," I reply softly. We calm down considerably after roasting all the people who deserve it for today, and I close my eyes. However, the scene that I've witnessed flashes from before.

"We are here!" Crystal yells from the backseat. I take my fake braces off, finally taking the loose hairstyle of mine out and taking a deep breath in. Abandoning our bags inside the car, Crystal and I confidently walk into the premium showroom. Our identities are checked here, normal rich people stuff which I'm used to by now. There's something that happens later which makes my eyes go wide. And my heart...ache.

"Oh, what a surprise!" It is Alex Frostbite, my oldest adopted brother. He walks close to us and leans in for a kiss. Not with me, but with Crystal. That's right. Alex Frostbite and Crystal Jordan are dating in secret.

Our families are aware of this. But how could I ever tell Crystal, or anyone else in our family that we adopted siblings sleep with each other...almost every night?

I am their glory hole, the three handsome men walk into my room each night to f*ck my brains out. This is our little secret. Our guilty pleasure. So when Crystal and Alex were kissing each other in front of me, I couldn't help but wonder what was going on with...me.

Why couldn't I stop myself from balling my fists up? Why did I ever fantasize about taking over Crystal's place, where I should've been the one kissing Alex? Not her, but me.

Yup, this is my sickly reverse harem story.

I was once the heiress to the Solomon empire, but after it crumbled, I became the "charity case" ward of the wealthy Hyde family. For years, I lived in their shadows, clinging to the promise that Anson Hyde would always be my protector. That promise shattered when Anson walked into the ballroom with Claudine Chapman on his arm. Claudine was the girl who had spent years making my life a living hell, and now Anson was announcing their engagement to the world. The humiliation was instant. Guests sneered at my cheap dress, and a waiter intentionally sloshed champagne over me, knowing I was a nobody. Anson didn't even look my way; he was too busy whispering possessively to his new fiancée. I was a ghost in my own home, watching my protector celebrate with my tormentor. The betrayal burned. I realized I wasn't a ward; I was a pawn Anson had kept on a shelf until he found a better trade. I had no money, no allies, and a legal trust fund that Anson controlled with a flick of his wrist. Fleeing to the library, I stumbled into Dallas Koch—a titan of industry and my best friend’s father. He was a wall of cold, absolute power that even the Hydes feared. "Marry me," I blurted out, desperate to find a shield Anson couldn't climb. Dallas didn't laugh. He pulled out a marriage agreement and a heavy fountain pen. "Sign," he commanded, his voice a low rumble. "But if you walk out that door with me, you never go back." I signed my name, trading my life for the only man dangerous enough to keep me safe.

I woke up on silk sheets that smelled of expensive cedar and cold sandalwood, a world away from my cramped apartment in Brooklyn. Beside me lay Ezra Gardner—my boss, the billionaire CEO of Gardner Holdings, and the man who could end my career with a snap of his fingers. He didn’t offer an apology for the night before; instead, he looked at me with terrifying clarity and proposed a cold, calculated business arrangement. "Marriage. It stabilizes the board and solves the PR crisis before it begins." He dressed me in archival Chanel and sent me home in his Maybach, but my life was already falling apart. My boyfriend, Irving, claimed he had passed out early, yet his location data placed him at my best friend’s apartment until three in the morning. When I tried to run, I realized Ezra was already ten steps ahead, tracking my movements and uncovering the secret I’d spent twenty years hiding: my connection to the powerful Senator Grimes. I was trapped between a CEO who treated me like a line item on a quarterly report and a boyfriend who had been using me while sleeping with my closest friend. I felt like a pawn in a game I didn't understand, wondering why a man like Ezra would walk up forty flights of stairs on a broken leg just to make sure I was safe. "Showtime, Mrs. Gardner." Standing on the red carpet in a gown that cost more than my life, I watched my cheating ex-boyfriend’s face turn pale as Ezra claimed me in front of the world. I wasn't just an assistant anymore; I was a weapon, and it was time to burn their world down.

I was finally brought back to the billionaire Vance estate after years in the grimy foster system, but the luxury Lincoln felt more like a funeral procession. My biological family didn't welcome me with open arms; they looked at me like a stain on a silk shirt. They thought I was a "defective" mute with cognitive delays, a spare part to be traded away. Within hours of my arrival, my father decided to sell me to Julian Thorne, a bitter, paralyzed heir, just to secure a corporate merger. My sister Tiffany treated me like trash, whispering for me to "go back to the gutter" before pouring red wine over my dress in front of Manhattan's elite. When a drunk cousin tried to lay hands on me at the engagement gala, my grandmother didn't protect me-she raised her silver-topped cane to strike my face for "embarrassing the family." They called me a sacrificial lamb, laughing as they signed the prenuptial agreement that stripped me of my freedom. They had no idea I was E-11, the underground hacker-artist the world was obsessed with, or that I had already breached their private servers. I found the hidden medical records-blood types A, A, and B-a biological impossibility that proved my "parents" were harboring a scandal that could ruin them. Why bring me back just to discard me again? And why was Julian Thorne, the man supposedly bound to a wheelchair, secretly running miles at dawn on his private estate? Standing in the middle of the ballroom, I didn't plead for mercy. I used a text-to-speech app to broadcast a cold, synthetic threat: "I have the records, Richard. Do you want me to explain genetics to the press, or should we leave quietly?" With the "paralyzed" billionaire as my unexpected accomplice, I walked out of the Vance house and into a much more dangerous game.

I was at my own engagement party at the Sterling estate when the world started tilting. Victoria Sterling, my future mother-in-law, smiled coldly as she watched me struggle with a cup of tea that had been drugged to ruin me. Before I could find my fiancé, Ryan, a waiter dragged me into the forbidden West Wing and locked me in a room with Julian Sterling, the family’s "fallen titan" who had been confined to a wheelchair for years. The door burst open to a frenzy of camera flashes and theatrical screams. Victoria framed me as a seductress caught in the act, and Ryan didn't even try to listen to my pleas, calling me "cheap leftovers" before walking away with his pregnant mistress. When I turned to my own family for help, my father signed a document severing our relationship for a five-million-dollar payout from Julian. They traded me like a commodity without a second thought. I didn't understand why my own parents were so eager to sell me, or how Ryan could look at me with such disgust after promising me forever. I was a sacrifice, a pawn used to protect the family's offshore accounts, and I couldn't fathom how every person I loved had a price tag for my destruction. With nowhere left to go, I married Julian in a bleak ceremony at City Hall. He slid a heavy diamond onto my finger and whispered, "We have a war to start." That night, inside his secret penthouse, I watched the paralyzed man stand up from his wheelchair and activate a screen filled with the Sterling family's darkest secrets. The execution had officially begun.
