I followed Gu Sheng when I was eighteen. Everyone knew I was madly in love with him! But he cheated on me time and again behind my back. After seeing him passionately kissing a college student outside a bar once again, I decided to break up with him. Gu Sheng, however, didn't take my words seriously. "What are you chasing after? It's not like this is the first time she's brought up breaking up." "The Shen family initially asked for a fortune, selling her to me for ten million. Can she come up with that much money to pay me back now?" "Without me, she can't even go home. Just wait, in a couple of days, when she's calmed down, she'll come back obediently." What no one expected was that I turned around and threw myself into the arms of a prince from the Beijing circle, and the next day we got our marriage certificate. It wasn't until he saw me kissing Fu Huai'an that he went crazy trying to win me back. But unfortunately, it was all too late!

Chapter 1

I was with Jere Evans since I was eighteen years old.

Everyone knew how deeply I loved with him!

But he repeatedly betrayed me.

After seeing him kissing a college student once again at a bar outside, I decided to break up with him.

Jere, however, dismissed my words, saying, "Why bother chasing after her? It's not the first time she's asked for a breakup. The Wells Family demanded an exorbitant price of ten million dollars when they sold her to me. Can she even pay that back now? Without me, she can't even return home. Just wait and see, in a few days, she'll come back when she's calmed down."

But no one expected that I turned around and fell into the arms of wealthy and influential heir, and the very next day, we registered our marriage.

It wasn't until Jere saw me kissing Kevin Lambert, then he went mad trying to get me back.

Unfortunately, everything was too late!

The party was over, and I stood at the entrance of the bar.

Lighting a cigarette, I watched expressionlessly at the two people kissing not far away.

The girl was young, exuding the vibrancy of youth. With a shy expression, she stood on her tiptoes to leave a kiss mark on Jere's neck, saying, "You're mine now, I've marked you!"

Jere affectionately pinched the girl's cheek, smiling lazily and indulgently.

I had been with Jere since I was eighteen, a love that defied all societal norms.

Jere would cross half the city just to bring me a cup of coffee.

I would travel across most of Gaskierus just to watch fireworks with him.

Everyone said we were definitely going to get married.

But as time passed and the passion faded, our wedding date seemed to drift further away.

I looked at the girl's vibrant face, feeling a bit dazed. She looked so much like me at eighteen.

Was this why Jere shifting his love to another person?

Men, they only liked young girls after all.

"Jere, aren't you afraid your girlfriend will get jealous with you when you play like this?" Someone asked.

Jere, holding the girl, scoffed and said, "So what if she's jealous? She can't live without me. Besides, we've been together for so long, I've grown weary of her. Isn't it normal to want a change of taste occasionally?"

His close friend gave him a thumbs up, winking and saying, "Jere, you're the man, truly impressive. How about we take the young lady for a drink?"

I calmly watched them walk towards the bar.

Jere saw me standing at the door, his expression froze for a moment, then relaxed.

There was no trace of embarrassment from being caught by his girlfriend.

"Aimee Wells, you're here too! Do you want to meet my new friend, Roselyn Davies?" Jere smiled and said.

The young girl, seeing me, was visibly nervous and hid behind Jere.

"Jere, let's break up! From now on, we have nothing to do with each other!" I said.

I stubbed out my cigarette and tossed the butt away. Seven years, and I couldn't even remember how many times he'd cheated on me.

This time, I decided to let him go.

"Jere, aren't you going to chase after her? She's angry!" Jere friend said.

Jere pulled the girl behind him and kissed her hard, saying indifferently, "Why chase? It's not the first time she's asked for a breakup. The Wells Family demanded an exorbitant price of ten million dollars when they sold her to me. Can she even pay that back now? Without me, she can't even return home. Just wait and see, in a few days, she'll come back when she's calmed down."

Ha, so that's how lowly I was in his heart?

A piercing pain pricked at my heart, and my eyes involuntarily reddened.

In fact, even if I hadn't caught Jere cheating today, I had already been considering breaking up with him.

Over the years, my feelings for Jere had been worn down to nothing with each time when I witnessed him embracing and kissing other girls.

I was tired and didn't want to continue like this.

I wandered aimlessly down the street. Yes, I no longer had a home.

A few days after my mother passed away, my father let Betsy Holt and their illegitimate child live in Wells Family home.

The three of them lived happily there, while I became the unwanted one.

When the Wells Family company encountered a financial crisis, they went directly to the Evans Family, demanding a dowry of ten million dollars.

They claimed it was for my benefit, but in reality, they used the money to continue their lavish lifestyle.

I ended up living in the apartment where Jere prepared for me, staying there for five years.

It was beginning to snow. Winter had arrived, and it was so cold!

"Hey beautiful lady, all alone? Want some company?" The drunken thug said.

Two drunken thugs cornered me in a deserted alley, and their eyes filled with lust as they brazenly ogled every inch of my exposed skin.

My body trembled slightly as I picked up my phone and threatened, saying, "Get lost, or I'll call the police!"

The two drunken thugs exchanged a glance, then quickly snatched my phone away, saying, "Tsk tsk, your phone's in our hands now. How are you going to call the police?"

"What do you want to do? This is illegal." I said.

"For a beauty girl like you, it's worth breaking the law!" one thug said.

My face showed despair as their hands reached for me. Suddenly, a tall figure appeared.

"Who are you? Get lost and don't ruin our fun!" The thug said.

It was Kevin Lambert. Like grabbing a lifeline, I shouted excitedly, "Kevin, help me!"

His face darkened as he looked at the two thugs. Without a word, he landed two punches.

I watched in a daze as Kevin's fists punched with the thugs, making them wail in pain.

I couldn't help but be mesmerized. It was just like him. When I was bullied by other boys as a child, Kevin stood up for me the same way.
