REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON Chapter 1 Moonlit pack's downfall.

In 1993 I was born and raised in a pack called moonlit to be precise it's one of the peaceful little cities led by my father an Alpha whose name is Zeus killed by a rival pack due to certain jealousy and enviness to our resources.

Along the line I became the first Alpha female, the strongest luna in town who seeks justice to the lives that were lost.

The Rogue pack are known for their ruthlessness and lawlessness; they enjoy invading people's territory and forcefully taking charge of everything.

This pack was led by Ryker, an Alpha I must kill in order to avenge the death of my father and my pack member who lost their lives in a battle, fighting for what belongs to them.

My world was destroyed, lives were stolen. I could hear the cries of innocent souls crying beneath the ground seeking justice.

The first battle led by me in confronting Ryker and his pack was brutal. Everyone around me died mysteriously.

I was their last hope but it ended in pain. We were defeated, immolated. The last thing I could remember was sharp teeth and claws piercing my skin. I could see my lifeless body on the ground.

Which signifies the fact that I was Dead. I found myself in another world, a place strange to me. I could hear the rustling of leaves with a decompose smell plastering my nose.

"Everything here is strange, what's going on?" I mumbled beneath my voice.

Still wandering around I scanned through a distance as I saw a strange figure calling out my name.

"Lyra!! Lyra!! Lyra!!".

I clamped my hands over my ear, kneeling in distress as the name continued to echo piercingly in my mind.

I saw the figure approaching my scene and suddenly she held my hand and whispered softly to my ears.

"Do not be afraid I'm here to give you life, a life full of abundance".

"What life are you referring to because I already have life in me that's why I'm still breathing".

"Say no more Lyra, you're in a strange land, the land of the dead where life is given. I was summoned here to help you".

At this moment I became flabbergasted, taken aback, standing here in stunned silence as I gazed at myself trying to figure out if I'm still alive.

"Does it mean I'm dead?".

"You will understand soon when you return to the land of the living".

I kept wondering what I'm doing here, an empty strange land with a scary atmosphere, before I noticed I was struck by lightning which I gasped on a bed.

"No!! Help!!" I sneezed in fear as I saw myself surrounded with some strange faces.

"Welcome back to life...She's alive!". One of them said as others joined in their celebration.

My eyes were dim and my sight became blurry trying hard to assimilate things. I became weak and couldn't fight back or rescue myself from these strangers. I touched my chin. It was quite different from my previous look.

The voices continue in their celebration with songs and jubilation. I became angry which made me scream in anger.

"Stop!!!" I covered my ears with my hands as their sound reverberated in my mind. The whole place was quiet; it was as if a king just gave an instruction.

They stood still looking at me in surprise.

"Miss, what's the matter you should be happy you're back to life" one of them said with a smile.

This triggers my thought pondering on the fact If I was long dead but couldn't remember what my previous existence was like.

"Hello Miss, do you know why we are rejoicing?"

"No I didn't, may I know the reason for this?"

I asked in anticipation as I sat down looking at them instead of an answer they kept on dancing.

"This is becoming irritating". I stood in anger. It was as if I was being played or a fool. No one was able to tell me the reason for my existence.

I clenched my fists in anger, grabbing one of the men who paid no attention to my question. He didn't understand what was about to happen.

"Excuse me sir".

He turned around just as I tapped his left shoulder. To his surprise I struck a heavy blow on his face.

He fell to the ground while others watched in shock at the funny scene I just created.

In a moment of silence I heard the footsteps of a figure approaching in my direction. Her presence was commanding, creating a demeaning atmosphere. I could see everyone bowing their heads to the ground.

"All hail the queen".They all chanted in unison the phrase echoes repeatedly growing louder and louder as their voice rose in fervor.

At first I thought I was being celebrated for my actions. I chuckled Contemplating maybe they could make me their leader.

As the figure finally approached my direction then I realized I wasn't being eulogized; it was someone else they were referring to..

"Hello Lyra, welcome to the land of living you've traveled through the afterlife. I thank our queen mother who has spared your life by giving you a second chance".

"Who are you and what are you talking about?".

"I'm Aria the witch doctor who summoned her queen mother to give you life".

"Your queen mother?".

"Yes, my queen mother, she is a healer, our protector, the one who you met in the afterlife, she is the one who we served".

"Well, I see, so what does this have to do with me? I guess I should start going. I don't belong here".

As I was about to leave, her words drew my attention. I felt like I was being magnetized to the ground.

"Lyria! Do you remember you were killed, you were dead but now reincarnated".

I became surprised, gasping heavenly that she could see my fear and my worried look.

"Don't be scared, follow me, let me show you more about yourself". She said but I have no choice but to follow her instructions, not minding what's ahead of me.

Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.

The heavy thud of the release stamp was the only goodbye I got from the warden after five years in federal prison. I stepped out into the blinding sun, expecting the same flash of paparazzi bulbs that had seen me dragged away in handcuffs, but there was only a single black limousine idling on the shoulder of the road. Inside sat my mother and sister, clutching champagne and looking at my frayed coat with pure disgust. They didn't offer a welcome home; instead, they tossed a thick legal document onto the table and told me I was dead to the city. "Gavin and I are getting engaged," my sister Mia sneered, flicking a credit card at me like I was a stray dog. "He doesn't need a convict ex-fiancée hanging around." Even after I saved their lives from an armed kidnapping attempt by ramming the attackers off the road, they rewarded me by leaving me stranded in the dirt. When I finally ran into Gavin, the man who had framed me, he pinned me against a wall and threatened to send me back to a cell if I ever dared to show my face at their wedding. They had stolen my biotech research, ruined my name, and let me rot for half a decade while they lived off my brilliance. They thought they had broken me, leaving me with nothing but an expired chapstick and a few old photos in a plastic bag. What they didn't know was that I had spent those five years becoming "Dr. X," a shadow consultant with five hundred million dollars in crypto and a secret that would bring the city to its knees. I wasn't just a victim anymore; I was a weapon, and I was pregnant with the heir they thought they had erased. I walked into the Melton estate and made an offer to the most powerful man in New York. "I'll save your grandfather's life," I told Horatio Melton, staring him down. "But the price is your last name. I'm taking back what's mine, and I'm starting with the man who thinks he's marrying my sister."
